Charms Club
Meanwhile, Albert and Katrina were on their way to the Seventh Floor, similar to their last visit to the Transfiguration Club.
However, this time, the positions of the two sides have been reversed.
"No need, just tell me where Classroom 17 is." Albert saw that Katrina was about to speak, so he simply refused and swallowed back what she was about to say.
"Are you sure? Okay, come with me." Katrina looked at Albert with a hint of resentment, seemingly a little annoyed, but still led him down the corridor.
The two stopped in front of a statue of a middle-aged witch; this was the entrance to Classroom 17.
"Albert Toussaint," Katrina introduced to Albert. "The champion of the All-England Wizard Duelling Competition in the 15th century."
"Ancient times? How many people were there in all of Britain back then? How many wizards were there?"
"What are you trying to say?" Katrina asked.
"People need to think long-term," Albert said. "Don't be like Tom."
"Tom?"
Albert pursed his lips and said, "My cat."
"Can you speak in a way that a person can understand?" Katrina sensed that the guy was implying something, but she couldn't understand what he was trying to say.
In fact, Albert knew this person; Alberta Tusser won the competition using the Exploding Charm.
As for how I learned the name? Of course, it was while searching for information related to the Exploding Charm that I came across the introduction of Alberta Tusser. Because I have a very good memory, I remembered the name.
"How do we get in?" Albert asked Katrina.
"A password is required."
"Password? You don't mean... the password is Exploding Charm, do you?" Albert looked at Katrina suspiciously.
"You actually knew?" Katrina was completely astonished, never expecting that Albert had guessed it.
"It really is Exploding Charm." Albert saw that after he uttered the Exploding Charm, the witch's statue moved aside, revealing the entrance hidden behind it.
When he went inside, he found it was a spacious classroom. The environment was very similar to the Transfiguration Club, with chairs arranged in a semi-circle.
Yes, Albert also met an acquaintance.
"You can sit anywhere," Katrina said, walking toward Isobel and leaving Albert standing at the door.
Although that's what they say, there are actually only sixteen chairs.
Several people were eyeing Albert, but he ignored their stares and went straight to a quiet spot to sit and wait for the party to begin.
As 3 o'clock approached, the members of the Charms Club gradually arrived. The club had more members than the Transfiguration Club, totaling sixteen.
Albert also spotted a few familiar faces, including Terence Higgs from Slytherin, the Slytherin substitute Seeker who had confronted Albert last semester. Higgs played by the rules, and Albert had a good impression of him.
The other one is Gabriel Truman of Hufflepuff.
"So you were invited too." Truman saw Albert as soon as he entered the classroom and came over to greet him with a smile.
"Professor Flitwick isn't going to use ' Charm Innovation ' to explain it to us, is he?" Albert glanced at the academic journal in Truman's hand and asked tentatively.
"How did you know?" Truman, quite surprised.
Albert was speechless. He felt that the Charms Club and the Transfiguration Club were indeed very similar.
"Don't worry, you can borrow the magazine from Professor Flitwick." Truman patted Albert's shoulder reassuringly. "Besides, most of the time, we're practicing Charms."
Before 3 o'clock, Professor Flitwick arrived at Classroom 17 ahead of time. He stood on a very high chair and spoke to everyone face to face.
"First, we welcome a new member. His name is Albert Anderson." As Professor Flitwick read out Albert's name, he suddenly let out a scream, and his body then exploded, spewing out countless fireworks and ribbons, startling everyone.
The next moment, Professor Flitwick reappeared, and applause resounded throughout the classroom.
"Is this how all welcoming ceremonies are?" Albert asked in a low voice.
"No, you're special this time." Truman said with a big smile, and even clapped along with everyone.
Professor Flitwick clapped his hands twice to draw everyone's attention and then said, "Our topic today is the Silent Spell."
"I know you are still unfamiliar with the use of the Silent Spell," Professor Flitwick continued after everyone quieted down. "This is a course that you will basically learn in your sixth-year Advanced Charms Advanced Class."
"Of course, the Silent Spell is not as difficult as you imagine."
What are the benefits of mastering Silent Spell?
"Not reciting the spell aloud when casting a spell can achieve a surprising effect," Professor Flitwick said, answering his own question.
"Some wizards feel that using Silent Spell weakens the power of spells and are unwilling to use them," Professor Flitwick grinned. "It's common knowledge that this is just an excuse those wizards use to justify themselves."
Many people couldn't help but burst out laughing.
"Many wizards find the Silent Spell too difficult because they lack focus and willpower when using Silent Spell."
"By the way, let me tell you a secret," Professor Flitwick said mysteriously, "Skilled wizards are usually very good at Silent Spell; it's one of their essential skills."
"Now, everyone, try using the magic you are best at," Professor Flitwick said to everyone. "Don't make a sound, just silently recite the incantation in your mind. Also, there's no point in cheating. Begin."
While everyone was practicing, Professor Flitwick began to walk around among them, observing the students who were practicing silently, and occasionally offering a few words of guidance.
Albert noticed that Truman next to him had his mouth tightly shut and felt a little like laughing. The other man seemed to be resisting some temptation, preventing himself from whispering the incantation.
Albert tried his best to concentrate and eliminate all external influences, silently chanting "Lumos" while waving his wand.
Okay, he succeeded.
The situation didn't seem as difficult as he had imagined. Albert wasn't sure how much time had passed, but he did manage to light the wand without saying a word.
"You succeeded?" Truman's expression was replaced by astonishment as he stared blankly at Albert, never expecting that Albert would so easily succeed in using the silent Lumos Charm .
Although the Lumos Charm isn't considered a particularly difficult spell, it's certainly not something that can be easily mastered, especially for younger students.
"Hmm, it's not as difficult as I imagined. It just requires practice, and I need to practice a lot more." Albert found that he still couldn't use the Lumos Charm without making a sound.
