Silent Spell
For the next half hour, the members of the Charms Club practiced the Silent Spell diligently, and several of them successfully used the spell without making a sound.
Of course, a small number of people choose to cheat by quietly chanting incantations so that others will think they have succeeded as well.
However, you won't learn anything useful by doing this.
Albert had succeeded several times, but he himself had realized that it would be difficult for him to successfully complete the Lumos Charm with just a thought or a swing of his staff.
The Magical Power enhanced by the Wizarding Bloodline does not increase the success rate in this area, and the Silent Spell cannot even be found on the Skill Panel.
Silent Spell are a spellcasting technique, not a talisman. To learn and use them skillfully requires diligent practice, which is a rather difficult process.
One's own will is the key to whether the Silent Spell can succeed, and this process requires the user to concentrate highly.
Some say magic is idealism, and that's not entirely wrong.
"Magic is the miracle created by the distortion of reality by will."
Albert remembered seeing this viewpoint online in his past life, and he himself tended to agree with it.
From today's perspective, this argument still makes some sense.
Albert wasn't sure if his willpower was strong enough, but he felt that if he put in a little more effort, he shouldn't be any worse than anyone else, after all, he had successfully used the Lumos Charm silently several times.
At least one thing is certain: my situation is much better than that of the person next to me.
Truman's face was already flushed red, and his mouth was tightly closed, making him look constipated. If he were to bend over slightly, he would look even more like a constipated person.
"Why not start with simple spells?" Albert couldn't understand the other person's thinking. Everything needs to be done step by step. It's unrealistic to expect to become a fat man in one bite. Doesn't the person next to him understand this?
"Sigh!" Truman sighed helplessly, deflated like a punctured balloon. "Silent Spell are just too difficult for us now."
"It's not surprising that it's difficult, given that it's Sixth Year Advanced Class course." Albert nodded in agreement, though he was somewhat skeptical in his heart.
After all, he has a cheat code, so he is naturally confident. Even without the cheat code, he is still confident that he can master the Silent Spell, it just takes more time.
Albert understood Truman's thinking: too many failures can easily lead to a loss of confidence, and without confidence, it is even more difficult to succeed when trying the Silent Spell. Albert's advantage was that he believed he could succeed.
Seeing that everyone had almost finished practicing, Professor Flitwick spoke up to attract everyone's attention.
"I never expected you to master the Silent Spell in this one gathering," Professor Flitwick told everyone. "Today was just a simple trial, and I'm sure you've all realized that the Silent Spell is actually a rather advanced spellcasting technique. It can give us an advantage in a duel, which is very important. A wizard who has mastered the Silent Spell can seize the initiative and prevent the opponent from making a corresponding counterattack based on your spell. I've already mentioned this once, but why am I repeating it? Because this will definitely be on the test."
"Of course, I think what you are more concerned about now is how to master Silent Spell," Professor Flitwick said with a smile. "I have noticed that some of you can use spells silently, but you should also find that you cannot use them skillfully, and you cannot use some spells that you are not very familiar with without making a sound."
You were right.
Everyone listened quietly to Professor Flitwick, hoping to learn something useful from him.
"Not all wizards can cast spells silently, I don't deny that, but most wizards can master Silent Spell after a certain amount of training. The difference lies only in the extent to which they can use them." Professor Flitwick looked around at everyone and suddenly asked, "Mr. Anderson, could you share with us the key to your successful use of the Silent Lumos Charm ?"
Albert was stunned, never expecting Professor Flitwick to suddenly ask him to speak. After a moment of silence, he summarized. "First, you need to concentrate intensely when casting a spell; second, try it on the spells you are best at; third, believe in yourself."
"That's about it." Professor Flitwick nodded in satisfaction. "You need to succeed first to build your confidence. The more difficult the spell, the harder it is to succeed with Silent Spell. That's not strange, just like Wandless Magic."
When the Charms was talking about Wandless Magic, he raised his hand and made a few gestures. A piece of paper was then Levitation Charm and floated into the air in full view of everyone.
"Even Dumbledore couldn't use complex spells without a wand," Professor Flitwick said, ignoring the fluttering papers. "Silent Spell are simpler than Wandless Magic, but to use them with complex spells requires more than just strong willpower; it also requires a lot of practice. After the Christmas Holiday, we will study Silent Spell further, and I hope everyone will have a basic grasp of them by then."
"Professor, isn't it too early for us to learn the Silent Spell?" a Hufflepuff student asked.
"Too early?" Professor Flitwick's expression was strange as he repeated, "As far as I know, Africa magic students used to Wandless Magic, so... do you think you're learning Silent Spell too early?"
The group looked at each other, discussing the matter in hushed tones.
"Students at African Magic School can Wandless Magic?" someone asked incredulously. "How do those students do it?"
"Because they don't have wands, they naturally Wandless Magic," Professor Flitwick said matter-of-factly. "Of course, learning magic without a wand is much more difficult than for us."
Now they all understood why Professor Flitwick said that most wizards, with a certain level of training, could master Silent Spell.
Africa can master more difficult Wandless Magic, so why can't they master Silent Spell?
"As long as you're willing to practice in your spare time, you can basically master the basics of the Silent Spell," Professor Flitwick continued. "I hope you can give me a surprise then."
After saying this, Professor Flitwick asked everyone to take out their copies of "Charm Innovation" magazine, ready to begin the discussion at this gathering.
Professor Flitwick temporarily lent Albert's "The Charm Innovation".
For the remainder of the time, everyone continued from where they left off, discussing an innovative spell from "Charm Innovation".
Albert, a transfer student, said he was a little confused by what he was hearing.
