Carelessness
Late at night, lights were still on in the windows of Gryffindor Tower. The few people in the dormitory were still awake, playing Wizard Card together.
With the increase in the number of card types, the gameplay of Wizard Card has become more diverse, giving players more room to play freely.
"Time Difference." Albert finished his tea, glanced at the pocket watch beside him, and said to the people around him.
"Are you really going?" Lee Jordan was still somewhat hesitant. Although he knew Fred and George's abilities, he still didn't have much confidence.
"Aren't you going?" Fred asked back.
"Go, why not go?" Lee Jordan muttered. He knew that Albert and his friends had never been caught by Filch when they went out for a stroll at night.
"Come on, I'll give you confidence," George said with a smile.
"What confidence?" Lee Jordan leaned closer suspiciously, only to see George pull out an old piece of parchment, wave it around, and say, "This is one of our Secret Weapon."
"Alright, stop fooling around, let's get going." Albert picked up his wand and tapped George's head lightly. A colorless, transparent film immediately enveloped his entire body, and George Weasley vanished before everyone's eyes.
"This is our second Secret Weapon," Fred explained with a smile.
"And what about the third Secret Weapon?" Lee Jordan asked curiously.
"We won't tell you," Fred and George said in unison.
"So, there's a third Secret Weapon?"
Albert also used the Disillusionment Charm on himself, and after his body also disappeared, he said to the others, "The Disillusionment Charm should last for a few hours. I think that should be enough time."
"Aren't you excited? Aren't you thrilled?" Fred nudged Lee Jordan with his elbow.
"I'm George, and Lee Jordan is here."
"I'm really excited. By the way, where are we going?" Lee Jordan asked. He was indeed a little excited, after all, this was his first time going out at night.
Hmm, no, that's not right either. I went out with Albert once before.
However, that time it was to find those two troublemakers, Fred and George.
"I'm going to the library. You can have Fred and George show you around. We'll meet in that room on the Seventh Floor; it's the Common Room," Albert said.
"What's that room on the Seventh Floor?" Lee Jordan felt that these three guys hadn't told him many things.
"You'll find out soon enough," Albert said.
"Don't you need any help?" George asked. "To find that book about the brain or something?"
"No need, I plan to use the Summoning Charm directly," Albert explained. He had just realized that he didn't know how to use the Summoning Charm before, but now that he did, finding the book wouldn't be too difficult.
In the novel, Hermione was able to use the Summoning Charm to get books related to Horcrux, which means that the books in the library can actually be summoned using the Summoning Charm. Although they were chained, as long as you know where the book is, it's easy to pry open the chains that are locking the book.
"Didn't you say you couldn't use the Summoning Charm?" Fred looked at Albert with a puzzled expression. He remembered that just a month ago, Albert had brought up the fact that he couldn't Summoning Charm!
"You can learn it if you don't know how!" Albert said with a half-smile. "This spell is actually pretty good, quite useful."
"Practical?" Fred couldn't help but mutter. He turned off the oil lamp in the dormitory and followed Albert out of the dormitory.
As the four of them passed through the Common Room and emerged from the entrance, George, who was lagging behind, suddenly said, "Filch is patrolling the fifth floor."
"How did you know?" Lee Jordan asked suspiciously.
"Who's there?" the Fat Lady asked, looking at the empty corridor.
"Let's get out of here first," Albert muttered, stepping forward toward the secret passage leading to other floors.
"We'll distract Filch for you," Fred said, his eyes gleaming. "I brought Dungbombs."
"I have Super Glue here," George said, equally eager to try.
"You're all asking for it," Lee Jordan muttered.
"Inflatable Screaming Skeleton." Albert handed something to Lee Jordan and reminded the group, "Don't go too far."
"We know our limits," George said.
"We won't let Filch bother you while you're looking for your book." Fred's tone was equally excited. During the start of the semester, Filch had given them a lot of trouble because of what happened last semester.
"I have a feeling the castle's going to be lively tonight," Lee Jordan muttered. He didn't refuse Albert's offer and stuffed the Inflatable Screaming Skeleton into his pocket.
The group parted ways at the entrance to the secret passage on the sixth floor. Albert went to the library alone, while the Weasley Twins took Lee Jordan to the fourth floor to play hide-and-seek with Filch.
At that moment, Filch, who was patrolling the fifth-floor corridor, was unaware that he was being watched.
Filch has been in a good mood lately, especially after catching that Gryffindor student who was wandering around the castle in the middle of the night. The look of terror on the student's face when he caught him was just too wonderful. Putting the student in solitary confinement has kept him in a good mood ever since.
However, since that incident, students who dared to sneak out at night have almost disappeared.
"I wonder when we'll be able to catch another one."
Just as Filch was thinking this, he suddenly heard something fall to the ground downstairs. He immediately became alert and rushed towards the direction from which the sound came.
In fact, George and his group, who had just gone through the secret passage to the fourth floor, "accidentally" knocked a helmet off a suit of armor, which caused the noise they made to attract Filch's attention.
This trick is actually very effective, and it has always been effective.
Sure enough, Filch heard the noise and hurried up to the fourth floor. Albert stood in the corridor outside the library, watching Filch's departing figure before turning his gaze away, pushing open the wooden door of the library, and going inside.
Filch hurried down to the Armor Corridor with his oil lamp, his gaze falling on the armor on the floor. He looked up, glanced around, bent down to pick up a helmet, and whispered, "Hiding, are you? I'll catch you, Peeves!"
The next second, Filch froze, because he found that the helmet was somehow stuck to the ground. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't lift it off.
"Is it Peeves, or..." Filch looked around with his oil lamp in hand, when suddenly he heard footsteps running.
"Those little bastards," Filch muttered under his breath, threw off his helmet, stood up, and chased after the footsteps. Even if he were stupid, he could guess that someone was deliberately playing a trick on him.
However, Filch wasn't angry; on the contrary, he was overjoyed. He wasn't afraid of students wandering around the castle at night; he was afraid that no one would dare to come out at night.
"I'll catch you."
Filch's eyes gleamed dangerously in the darkness; he couldn't wait to see the terrified expressions on the students' faces after he caught them.
However, Filch was unaware that the footsteps he had just heard were actually deliberately made by Fred to attract Filch's attention.
The game between cat and mouse has officially begun.
Outsmarting Filch was undoubtedly one of Fred and George's greatest pleasures at Hogwarts. With the Filch's Marauder's Map at their disposal and the Disillusionment Charm, they had two safeguards: getting caught by Filch while wandering around in the middle of the night? That was out of the question.
"That's exciting. How do you think Filch will catch up with us? Will he take a shortcut?" Lee Jordan whispered to Fred as he followed closely behind.
"Of course we'll take the shortcut. He'll probably use the secret passage to get ahead and block us. Let's take the stairs and lure him further away." Fred said with a laugh as he threw Dungbombs down the corridor. "Don't worry, Filch can't block us."
Fifth floor, inside the library.
Albert had already crossed the rope in front of the Restricted Section and was walking around Restricted Section. He raised his wand and whispered, "The Advanced Occlumency Guide, Accio."
A moment later, a creaking sound was heard, and one of the large bookcases was pulled to one side by the chains.
Albert, who was about to walk over, was stunned and speechless.
The next moment, he realized that something terrible was about to happen.
"Arresto Momentum!"
He had already seen the book "Advanced Occlumency Guide" that had been summoned by the Summoning Charm, but because the bookshelf had tilted completely, it also knocked over the bookshelf in front of it, like a domino effect.
With a loud bang, Albert felt as if his heart was about to jump out of his chest, the sound echoing throughout the entire castle.
Albert never expected that the Summoning Charm would cause the book to pull the lock and even knock over the bookshelf! The Summoning Charm is really cursed!
"Reparo!" Albert waved his wand, trying to restore the bookshelves and books to their original state. In fact, his magic worked, and the overturned books and bookshelves began to return to their original positions.
But Albert dared not linger in the library and immediately fled, abandoning even the idea of finding "The Advanced Occlumency Guide".
