A False Alarm
The afternoon Potions Class was an ordeal for the students. No one could help but tremble with fear whenever they had to face Snape's gloomy face, and some students were even driven to the brink of mental collapse.
Many students were afraid of Snape, afraid that he would watch Snape while they were brewing Potions, and also afraid that he would call on Snape to ask questions during class.
In the entire Wizarding World, there are very few wizards who are truly skilled at brewing Potions, and even fewer Potions Master like Snape. So it is unrealistic to expect everyone to become Potions Master like him.
The two afternoon classes went relatively smoothly. Snape taught everyone how to concoct Hair-Growing Potion. In Albert's opinion, this potion was a godsend for middle-aged balding men. If this potion were improved and sold in the Muggle World, it would probably be snapped up like crazy.
"Anderson, stay after class." Snape stood behind Albert watching him brew Potions, and after a long while, he suddenly said softly.
"Hmm!" Albert replied casually, giving Fred and the others a reassuring look. Although Albert was indeed a little nervous in front of Snape, he was certain that Snape couldn't see through his thoughts.
After all, he was already a level 3 Occlumency user. Even if Snape pulled out his wand and used Legilimency on him, he might not be able to extract the memories he wanted from Albert.
When the bell rang, the students in the classroom breathed a sigh of relief and hurriedly handed in their potion samples before fleeing the Potions Classroom as if escaping.
"Did you add too much Ginger Root to the Hair-Growing Potion?" Snape asked, staring at Albert's potion sample.
"Added twice, five tablets in total," Albert said, pursing his lips. "The Hair-Growing Potion is clearly more effective now."
Snape stared at Albert for a long time, a strange light seeming to gleam in his eyes. Then, he took a folded piece of parchment from his pocket and handed it to Albert, saying in a peculiar tone, "Looks like you're quite famous now, aren't you?"
Albert was momentarily stunned, but he still reached out and took the parchment Snape handed him, only to hear Snape say, "Do you know what happened last night?"
"You mean a Slytherin student got caught wandering around at night?" Albert looked up from the parchment, a pleasant smile playing on his lips. "That's a real shame."
"Now take your cleverness and get out of my sight." Snape gestured for Albert to leave.
Albert shrugged, stuffed the parchment into his pocket, turned and left the gloomy, cold Potions Classroom, hurrying forward. He soon caught up with the three people who had deliberately slowed their pace to wait for him.
"That Old Bat didn't do anything to you, did it?" Fred asked worriedly, recalling what had happened not long ago.
"What could possibly happen?" Albert said with a smile.
"What does Snape want with you?" George asked curiously.
"He gave me a letter of introduction!" Albert pulled out the parchment and explained, "A pharmacist is interested in me, probably to see if we can establish a correspondence."
"You have quite a few pen pals," Fred asked, glancing at the parchment. "They actually want you to write for 'The Practical Potioneer'?"
"It's probably because of Hertok Dagworth!" Albert guessed. If Dagworth had mentioned him to someone else by chance, it wouldn't be surprising if the Editor-in-chief of "The Practical Potioneer" had used Snape to verify the truth of the matter.
It is well known that many academic journals have connections with Hogwarts professors.
"Your future is bright," Fred couldn't help but remark. "The only question is when you will become Minister of Magic."
"The Minister of Magic is a complete disaster." Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes at the three of them, looking disgusted. "Anyone who wants to jump in can go ahead."
They couldn't help but laugh.
"The Hair-Growing Potion today is pretty good. By the way, it seems you added Ginger Root slices twice." The four chatted as they walked toward the library on the fifth floor.
"Hmm, five tablets. If it can eliminate that awful spiciness, I think the Hair-Growing Potion would definitely be a bestseller in the Muggle World."
"The Muggle World?" Lee Jordan looked at Albert in astonishment. He knew his roommate did have the idea of selling Potions to Muggle, but the idea was too strange! "There's no good way to cure baldness in the Muggle World," Albert explained with a smile. "A bunch of rich people would fight tooth and nail to buy it, since they're not short of money."
The three looked at each other, offering no comment on Albert's idea.
Most wizards rarely need to use Muggle money, even though they know they can use Muggle money to exchange for Galleon from Gringotts. In fact, most Pure-blood wizard don't even know what Muggle coins are, let alone think about making money this way.
"You should first look up information about the Flobberworm in the ' The Complete Book of Venomous Fungi '," Albert said to Fred and the others. "I need to write a letter to Hertok Dagworth."
Albert was prepared to discuss with the Potions Master whether the Hair-Growing Potion could be further improved or diluted to ensure that it would work slowly on Muggle without arousing suspicion.
Of course, Albert also wanted to buy dried Mandrakes roots through Dagworth. Ever since he learned that Mandrakes roots could be used to make powerful amulets, he couldn't wait to try it out.
"Found it!"
Shortly after, George interrupted Albert's thoughts by placing the page of information about the Flobberworm in front of everyone.
"Let me see." Fred skimmed the text, muttering to himself as he read, "When harvesting, be careful not to inhale too many Flobberworm spores, or you'll become delirious... It's best to wear Dragonhide Gloves to avoid skin contact with the spores, which can cause redness and swelling... You need to take the whole plant, roots and all, otherwise the Flobberworm will easily wither and rot..."
As a poisonous mushroom, there are indeed many precautions to take when picking Flobberworm, and if you are not careful, you may really have bad luck as a result.
As for the Flobberworm cultivated in the school's greenhouse, they are naturally safer.
Well, the best way to catch Flobberworm in the wild is by Food Lure Method.
"It seems the difficulty is higher than expected!" Albert put away the letter he was writing halfway through and joined in reading the information they had found. He thought for a moment and said, "The Food Lure Method is a bit difficult for us. Now we can only try our luck in the forest during the rainy season."
If you can't find it, you'll have to buy it from a pharmacy.
Moreover, anything related to dragons is expensive, and Dragon claw powder is no exception.
If the cost of buying dried Mandrakes roots were added, Albert would probably shrink his wallet significantly. He couldn't help but sigh, realizing that he didn't have enough Galleon.
Looks like I need to find a way to earn more Galleon.
