Knowledge?
After ending his Riddle Bet with Katrina, Albert didn't go to the stadium to watch the Gryffindor vs. Ravenclaw Quidditch Match. Instead, he went straight to the Room of Requirement on the Seventh Floor. He planned to write down the one hundred riddles and their answers posed by the Eagle Ring, so he wouldn't forget them later.
Rapid memorization is ultimately unsustainable. Unless Albert is frequently questioned by the Eagle Ring like Ravenclaw student, it is simply impossible for him to retain the general content after a long period of time.
As the saying goes, a bad pen is worse than a good memory.
This proverb from my past life still holds a lot of truth.
It took Albert quite a bit of time to organize and record these one hundred riddles and answers. By the time he put down his Fountain Pen and stretched, it was already past noon.
In every Quidditch Match, unless it ends early, a large group of people generally don't eat lunch until the match is over.
As for dinner?
Quidditch Match rarely last into the night. Just how incompetent must the two Seeker be to fail to catch the Golden Snitch for hours? Matches that last all day are ultimately rare.
Albert put away his notebook, rubbed the muscles in his cheek, and turned his gaze to the Eagle Ring on the old wooden board in the corner of the library. He took a deep breath, raised his hand, and tapped the board twice. The Eagle Ring spoke a riddle: You are not in the past or the future, I can see you now, where are you? "In the mirror," Albert answered immediately.
"That makes sense." As soon as Eagle Ring finished speaking, a door opened out of thin air.
"It's a success!"
Albert clenched his fist excitedly, raised his wand, and stepped into the doorway. He found himself in a huge, circular marble Chamber of Secrets, brightly lit by burning blue torches.
"The Eternal Fire?" Albert examined the torches on the wall. For a moment, he suddenly had an urge to take one down and study it.
"Where is the treasure trove of Ravenclaw's knowledge?" Albert murmured.
This is a windowless, empty Chamber of Secrets, fitting the description of a place with bare walls.
It wasn't empty; strange symbols were carved into the marble walls.
"Ancient Runes?"
In fact, Albert had already noticed the Ancient Runes on the walls the moment he entered the Chamber of Secrets.
There was no other way; besides the Eternal Fire, the only thing that could attract Albert's attention here was the Ancient Runes on the walls. He walked towards the wall, ran his hand over the carvings, and began to carefully translate the actual content of the Ancient Runes.
The Ancient Runes Professor Broad and Professor Smith showed him were indeed copied from here.
However, in Albert's memory, the script used by wizards a thousand years ago should have been Ancient Runes, and English, which borrowed from Latin, was introduced to Britain later.
So... I shouldn't be reading the text on the wall from a translation perspective. Is its existence merely for recording something?
Or is there some secret hidden in the Ancient Runes? It took Albert a full half hour to read through the Ancient Runes carved on the wall in front of him and copy them into his notebook.
The writing on the wall was probably about the founding of Hogwarts, and it was similar to the documents Albert had seen in the library.
Hogwarts was originally established to protect wizards from persecution.
After all, Muggle are afraid of magic, and they persecute wizards because of their fear of magic. What's worse, a thousand years ago, during the Dark Ages, Britain was in the midst of the terrifying Viking Age.
The fact that Hogwarts Castle is located on a mountain by a lake, and Hogwarts the exact location of the school is unmarkable by magic, shows that the Four Founders had already considered the possibility of enemy attacks when they established Hogwarts, which is why they set up a series of defensive measures in the castle.
Albert hadn't forgotten that the armor and knight statues of Hogwarts Castle could be manipulated by Charms when necessary. This meant that a hundred or even a thousand fearless soldiers, combined with the castle's terrain and defenses, would have been an unassailable force, even for the infamous Hogwarts Castle at the time.
However, this already known Hogwarts history is not what Albert wants. The Ravenclaw Knowledge Vault must contain much more than this! Damn it!
At the very least, you should leave me some books, or something else.
Did someone else manage to buy it all first?
Albert glanced at the Task Panel, "Find the Ravenclaw's Knowledge Vault," and sure enough, it was not completed.
Could it be that this isn't Ravenclaw's Knowledge Vault? Or is there some secret hidden in this Chamber of Secrets? Albert circled the Chamber of Secrets again, and apart from the Runes on the walls, there really was nothing else.
However, Albert made some new discoveries.
It's something like a jigsaw puzzle. Why is it called a jigsaw puzzle? Because the Runes symbols on it have been broken up.
Albert thought it might be a door, or something else, but he still couldn't understand it; in fact, he couldn't decipher it.
Exceptional intelligence is the greatest wealth of mankind.
And then? Albert pieced together the scattered Runes and read them aloud in Ancient Runes.
He felt that something was missing, but Albert himself couldn't quite put his finger on what it was.
If this is a treasure trove of knowledge, then what knowledge does it hold?
Albert couldn't figure it out for a moment. He felt it definitely wasn't Ancient Runes, because that was the script used in that era, and it certainly wasn't the Hogwarts history on the walls. So, what was left here?
That saying, "Exceptional intelligence is the greatest wealth of mankind"?
Or is it the Eternal Fire on the wall?
Albert took an Eternal Fire from the wall and examined it closely. It was somewhat similar in shape to the Olympic flame, and indeed, it was engraved with some Ancient Runes. In this respect, it wasn't that different from the Protective Bracelet that Albert made.
However, the effects produced by these Ancient Runes were quite surprising.
Albert knew this might be the power of magical writing.
But is this related to the treasure trove of knowledge?
If it's really related, then... what secrets are hidden in this treasure trove of knowledge?
Albert was very troubled; he simply couldn't understand what secret was hidden here.
"Never mind, let's write this down first!" Albert put the Eternal Fire back. It seems that neither Professor Broad nor Professor Smith have found the secret in the Chamber of Secrets.
As for the wizard who discovered the secret here before, he took away the things that were originally placed in this Chamber of Secrets?
This possibility is unlikely.
