The Informed Person
Try to see things from another person's perspective.
If you were the designer of the Ravenclaw Knowledge Vault, you would naturally want more students to gain knowledge from it, and you wouldn't leave anything in the repository that can be easily taken away.
No one can guarantee that all the students found here are of high moral character.
Therefore, the real treasure must still be inside that Chamber of Secrets.
But where are the things?
Albert guessed that it must be hidden.
If Ravenclaw selects intelligent students through a screening process, with the first hurdle being the Eagle Ring —only those who answer the riddle correctly are eligible to enter—then why can't there be a second or even a third hurdle? The Chamber of Secrets should have a hidden door, or something similar, but what would be the key to open it?
Albert ate while pondering the problem, tapping his fork lightly on the plate as he carefully considered any clues he might have missed.
There were only two things in the Chamber of Secrets: the Eternal Fire, the Fiendfyre, and Ancient Runes.
What if Eternal Fire were used for illumination?
The possibility then lies in the Ancient Runes.
Professor Broad and Professor Smith probably had similar doubts, which is why they asked me to translate those things.
However, the wizards of the past used Ancient Runes.
What had he overlooked? Albert felt as if he had grasped something.
What's so special about Ancient Runes? That's right, Runic Script are a Enchanted Script.
And that saying, "Exceptional intelligence is humanity's greatest treasure," might just be the key to unlocking the secret door.
However, reaching that level is not easy. Albert once guessed that once his Runes skill reached level three, he might be able to make initial contact with that level.
If that's really the case...
Just as Albert was about to open the Skill Panel, a voice suddenly rang in his ears. It was the House-elf Kara, who looked at him anxiously.
"Kara, is something the matter?" Albert looked up and asked.
"Sir, is this food not to your liking?" Kara asked, slightly uneasy.
"No, it's delicious. I was just thinking." Albert's gaze fell on the plate in front of him. He hadn't eaten much of the food, so it's no wonder the House-elf said that.
As he spoke, he devoured most of the food in just a few bites.
Kara breathed a sigh of relief upon hearing Albert's reply and gave him a smile.
However, interrupted by the House-elf, Albert didn't rush to check his skills. He quickly finished his food and got up to leave the kitchen.
The castle was still empty; the Quidditch Match was not over yet.
It's already 3:30 in the afternoon.
Albert put away his pocket watch, walked to the window next to him, and looked out of the castle through the glass. The heavy rain had stopped.
Should we go?
He hesitated for a moment, then walked alone toward the Quidditch Pitch.
Because of the rain, the roads were muddy and slippery. As soon as he approached the Quidditch Pitch, Albert could feel a lively atmosphere. He pushed open the door and quietly walked up the stairs, his gaze falling on the several figures intertwined above.
A moment later, Lee Jordan shouted from afar, "Gryffindor scores! The score is now 140-180, Ravenclaw is in the lead."
The two sides have surprisingly fallen into a stalemate.
However, the score difference is not large; as long as Charlie can catch the Golden Snitch, Gryffindor will win.
"I thought you wouldn't come to the game."
Albert turned his head to look in the direction the sound came from. It was Isobel, who was walking towards them, holding a pair of Binoculars in her hand.
"Um."
Albert responded and turned his gaze back to the top of the court.
"It seems you've also discovered that secret." Isobel wasn't angry at Albert's attitude, but simply said something cryptic.
Albert suddenly turned around and stared at Isobel.
"You used Legilimency on me? No..." Albert didn't believe that Isobel could break through his Occlumency. Even if she really did use Legilimency on him, he couldn't possibly be completely unaware.
So, that means... she knows about that? "What secret?" Albert pretended not to understand.
Isobel glanced at Albert but didn't reply.
"You mean the Room of Requirement?" Albert wouldn't let the conversation fall silent, because that would mean he would have a hard time getting any more information.
"Yes." Isobel nodded almost imperceptibly.
"I didn't find what I was looking for," Albert said, frowning. He felt that Isobel could provide him with some information.
"No, I just found relevant records in the literature."
"Don't tell me you've never been inside?" Albert frowned.
"My Ancient Runes are not as good as yours!" Isobel glanced at Albert and said indifferently. "Understanding the Ancient Runes in there is very difficult for me."
"Perhaps Ravenclaw never imagined that Runic Script would eventually become a thing of the past!" Albert suddenly remarked. He felt that the knowledge in the treasure trove was meant for students, since only students and professors could possibly be at Hogwarts and discover its secrets.
"Looks like you didn't get anything out of it either!" Isobel's tone was filled with undisguised disappointment.
"Where did you learn that secret?" Albert asked curiously.
"And you?"
Both sides fell silent again.
The eerie atmosphere was finally broken by cheers from the crowd as the two Seeker battled for the Golden Snitch. The spectators all stood up, their eyes fixed on the contest, knowing that whoever caught the Golden Snitch would bring victory to their team.
However, as if by some unseen force, the game continued. While the two Seeker were vying for the ball, the Golden Snitch slipped away again.
Those who were originally ready to cheer for the victor could only turn all their emotions into a chorus of boos in dissatisfaction.
"Professor Broad and Professor Smith came to Hogwarts for this?" Albert felt that Isobel must know something; she knew the two professors and they were close.
"You don't know?" Isobel put down his Binoculars and looked at Albert, his tone slightly strange.
"Know what?"
"It's nothing." Isobel didn't seem to intend to answer Albert's question.
Albert looked deeply at Isobel, realizing he couldn't see through the man before him.
Is there something I haven't noticed? "You mean the invitation to join some loose organization?" Albert recalled the invitation from last Easter and Dagworth's talk about circles.
"You'll find out later." Isobel didn't answer, or rather, she wasn't going to answer; she turned and left.
"You guessed right? At least part of it." Albert muttered as he watched Isobel's departing figure. "She really is a woman full of secrets."
