Fire Prevention, Theft Prevention, Peeves Prevention
At the end of January, there was still no sign of the weather warming up.
When he woke up in the morning, the sky was still overcast, with occasional snowflakes falling. As he walked toward the Great Hall, listening to Fred and George's conversation, Albert had a feeling that something bad was about to happen.
Albert ate bread with corn chowder, chatting with Lee Jordan about registering for the Wizard Card Competition. Suddenly, he saw Charlie hurrying towards them, clearly looking for Fred and George, who had been put in solitary confinement several times.
"You've missed several Quidditch practices already," Charlie said, glaring at his brothers. "There's not much time left until the next Quidditch Match. We lost once, and if we lose again, we'll be out of the running for this year..."
"Charlie, we didn't do it on purpose." George put down his spoon, looked up at Charlie, and his face was full of helplessness.
"It was out of necessity," Fred quickly chimed in. "If we had a choice, we would rather train at the Quidditch Pitch than face Snape."
For some reason, this sounds particularly convincing.
"Alright, but you can't miss the next training session." Charlie was thus persuaded by the two.
Few students are willing to be confined by Snape, even Slytherin students face considerable pressure when dealing with their headmaster.
"We'll train hard," Fred and George said in unison.
"Guys, you'll never guess what I just saw!" Wood came running up, panting, ready to tell everyone some interesting news.
"What do you see?"
"I just ran into Marcus Flint. For some reason, his lips were inexplicably swollen like sausages. You didn't see him? He was covering his lips with his hand, looking like he was too embarrassed to show his face. Oh, I can't help but laugh."
"Where is he?" Charlie also wanted to go and see what his old rival was up to.
"He ran to the School Hospital with his mouth covered." Wood finally stopped laughing, raised his hand to gesture to everyone, and vividly described Marcus Flint's unfortunate state.
There's nothing more satisfying than seeing someone you hate go down in deep trouble.
Just then, the surroundings suddenly fell silent. Albert followed everyone's gaze and saw a Hufflepuff girl covering her mouth with her hand and fleeing the Great Hall at a rapid pace.
After a brief burst of laughter, everyone whispered among themselves, wondering who had played the prank.
After finishing the steak on his plate, Albert glanced at George, who was sitting opposite him with an equally expressionless face. George seemed to sense Albert's gaze, shrugged, and innocently indicated that they hadn't done it.
"You actually succeeded?" Albert was very Fred about how Fred and George managed to add the substance to Marcus Flint's food.
"It was Peeves who did it, it has nothing to do with us!" Fred said innocently, indicating that they really didn't do it and that neither of them had the ability to do so.
"You convinced Peeves?" Albert asked, raising an eyebrow.
"We promised to give Peeves some fun little gadgets," Fred blinked his innocent little eyes. "Anyway, we're going to play pranks on students, so it doesn't matter who we prank, right?"
Albert was speechless. What he said was indeed true. To Peeves, Hogwarts students were not divided into the Four Houses; they were all students anyway.
As it turned out, Albert was right. In the following days, many people found their lips inexplicably swollen into funny sausage-like shapes while dining in the Great Hall.
The inability to find a reason made the students of Hogwarts very uneasy, and everyone was afraid that one day they would suddenly be the ones to suffer misfortune.
Professor Sprout even inspected the school's kitchen, but it was clearly not a problem with the House-elf.
One day, everyone finally discovered the reason.
There was nothing they could do; after all, Peeves was humming a strange little tune and sprinkling weird seasonings into their meat patties.
Many people have witnessed students who ate the meat patties with added toppings develop lips that swell up like sausages shortly afterward.
Then, the matter completely exploded.
People started to denounce Peeves, but it was no use; Peeves ' pranks were nothing new.
Filch wanted to use this opportunity to expel Peeves, who was always at odds with him, from Hogwarts, but he ultimately failed.
Throughout Hogwarts ' history, there have been many wizards who tried to get rid of Peeves, but none of them succeeded, let alone Filch was unable to use magic.
"How much of that stuff did you give Peeves?" Albert glanced at Fred, who had fallen for it again, and asked in a low voice when no one was looking.
He just got into some bad luck too.
Fortunately, after Albert discovered that many people had fallen ill, he prepared anti -Anti-Swelling Potion in advance, and nipped the problem in the bud if any abnormalities occurred.
"That's the only bottle left, and it should be almost empty," George said uncertainly.
"We didn't expect that bottle of seasoning to last so long," Fred, equally frustrated. He had also accidentally eaten food with added seasoning several times in the past few days.
It's entirely their own fault.
When Peeves goes crazy, it's simply unbearable.
"Don't forget, according to the agreement, you still have to provide Peeves with a bag of Dungbombs," Lee Jordan reminded him irritably, his lips also swollen.
"Aren't you worried that the professors will investigate who gave Peeves that bottle of seasoning?" Albert looked at the Twins with a helpless expression. Now Peeves' methods of adding seasoning to food have become more sophisticated, making it completely impossible to guard against.
However, it turned out that Albert's worries were completely unnecessary.
The Hogwarts students never suspected any of the other students; they were all nearly driven mad by Peeves. They always had to be extremely careful when eating, lest they find something Peeves had tampered with.
Madam Pomfrey was also driven to the brink of madness. Students with swollen lips were appearing one after another at the School Hospital. The head nurse asked Professor Snape to prepare a large amount of Anti-Swelling Potion and specifically reminded everyone that if they encountered this situation again, they should go to the School Hospital to get Anti-Swelling Potion.
Now everyone knows that to get rid of sausage lips and avoid embarrassing themselves, all they need to do is use a small amount of Anti-Swelling Potion after realizing they've been affected, and they no longer need to guard against the Peeves's tricks.
The School Hospital naturally has a lot of Anti-Swelling Potion, but those can only be used after one has been infected. There are actually quite a few wizards who know how to concoct such potions, but many of them are not very good at Potions, as evidenced by the fact that they dare not drink the Potions they concoct themselves.
As a result, Anti-Swelling Potion suddenly became popular in the Hogwarts black market.
