Getting Into the Swing of Things
The Werewolf incident caused a great stir at Hogwarts, with everyone discussing it and wondering if there really were Werewolf in the Forbidden Forest.
Some say they saw the Minister of Magic and Auror outside the school, while others say the professors are clearing the Forbidden Forest to prevent Werewolf from lingering around Hogwarts.
This incident did not affect the normal progress of the Wizard Card Competition. The number of spectators was even greater than last time. Nevertheless, the task of "mini-event" was still not completed, which made Albert a little frustrated.
However, there is good news: the Wizard Card Competition are getting better and better.
Some students unfamiliar with Wizard Card became curious about the competition, especially seeing the players using their own cards, which stirred a sense of unease within them. Unlike the Exploding Snap that explode automatically in the game, Wizard Card require more strategic thinking, and many Ravenclaw students developed a strong interest in this Wizard Card.
"Where did they get these cards? I've never heard of this kind of card game before," a Ravenclaw student couldn't help but ask his friend who had dragged him over to watch the game.
The man didn't speak, but pointed to a sign next to him that clearly read, "Please keep quiet during the competition."
I see. No wonder everyone was so quiet.
What are you all doing crowding here?
Professor McGonagall entered the Great Hall, her attention immediately drawn to a table crowded with people. She walked over and saw that everyone was watching four people playing cards.
When did the school get such a club, and why is it so popular?
Professor McGonagall's appearance drew the students' attention, and everyone made way to look over.
"Professor, is there something you need?" Albert noticed Professor McGonagall's arrival and raised an eyebrow to ask.
"Easter is coming soon, so everyone should stay away from the Forbidden Forest to avoid any accidents," Professor McGonagall said after a moment of hesitation, staring at the Wizard Card.
By connecting this to yesterday's Werewolf incident, it's not hard to guess what exactly happened.
"Because of Werewolf?" Albert asked, voicing the question on everyone's mind.
"Yes, there might be other Werewolf in the Forbidden Forest, so don't take any risks." Professor McGonagall nodded seriously and said, "If you get bitten by Werewolf, you're really done for."
"It seems the rumors about Werewolf in the Forbidden Forest are true!" Albert muttered to himself.
"Mr. Anderson, what are you doing?" This time, it was Professor McGonagall's turn to ask.
"We are holding our First Wizard Card Competition," Albert answered honestly.
"The Wizard Card, do you mean this?" Professor McGonagall asked again.
"Yes, these are the Wizard Card, inspired by the Chocolate Frog cards. If the professor allows, we can make you a card that's uniquely yours," Albert suggested, winking. Among these Wizard Card, there wasn't Professor McGonagall card. Because no photos were taken, and considering the possibility of trouble from the professor, none of the Hogwarts professor cards were included in the tournament Card Set.
Professor McGonagall paused for a moment, then looked at Albert again, and glanced at the Wizard Card on the table. She said softly, "Tell me what happened when you have time. I can tell you that you cast some profound spells on these cards."
The Wizard Card employed a lot of Transfiguration, and although the usage was still a bit rough, Professor McGonagall was impressed by Albert's talent in Transfiguration. Some of the spells were even taught in Advanced Class, and those students didn't use them as well as Albert.
Professor McGonagall left, neither agreeing nor refusing.
Albert didn't mind, thinking that Professor McGonagall would agree, since most wizards couldn't refuse to appear on the Chocolate Frog card.
Despite a minor hiccup, the competition continues. This time, the number of participants in the elimination rounds is far fewer than last time, but the competition is progressing more slowly. The contestants who have survived a round of eliminations are all quite skilled. The mindless actions that occurred during the last competition have decreased significantly, and everyone is now thinking carefully about how to use card tactics to defeat their enemies.
Playing Wizard Card requires a bit of luck, but it also demands attention to certain details during the game. In a battle between experts, a single mistake can lead to a comeback, and this applies equally to these participants.
Shanna, whom Albert favored, lived up to expectations and successfully passed the elimination round. Angelina's luck was as good as ever, and she also advanced. Truman was also there; he won easily and was a contender for the championship.
The others were so-so, Albert felt the championship might be decided among the three of them, as long as they didn't meet before the final.
"It seems the final will have to wait until next month." Albert glanced at his pocket watch, indicating that everyone could leave.
After the competition, many people came to ask Albert about Wizard Card, and suddenly the number of people interested in this Wizard Card game increased significantly.
Albert pushed Lee Jordan forward to explain, while he himself slipped away from the crowd and made his escape.
During lunch, Lee Jordan looked at him with a resentful expression.
"Fourteen people have expressed interest in joining our club, including seven Ravenclaw, three Hufflepuff, and four Gryffindor," he reported to Albert.
"That's good," Albert replied without hesitation.
"It's good, but... why don't you explain the rules of the game to them yourself?" Lee Jordan's dissatisfaction deepened as he spoke of this.
You bunch of bastards, you ran away really fast.
"We're just giving you a chance to practice!" Albert said with a laugh.
"I don't need this opportunity," Lee Jordan protested. "Absolutely not."
"No, buddy, you need to." Fred and George exchanged glances, put their hands on Lee Jordan's shoulders, and said earnestly, "Think about the second, third, and even fourth Wizard Card Competition. Someone will need to host them, and you are the best candidate. You need to get some practice. How can we let the other students laugh at us?"
Lee Jordan was stunned, seemingly confused by what the three men had said.
"Speaking of which, the First Wizard Card Competition went even more smoothly than I expected," Albert subtly changed the subject. "I plan to make a photo album, which will be passed down by the administrators of the Wizard Card Club throughout the generations, as a historical legacy for the Wizard Card Club." Albert continued.
That's a good idea.
The three nodded in agreement. If Wizard Card really became famous, the Wizard Card Club at Hogwarts would be regarded as the origin of Wizard Card and would attract the attention of students, which would effectively increase the popularity of Wizard Card among students.
