What Exactly Did You Do?
"What does the Grey Lady want with you?"
Isobel and Albert walked side by side through the castle courtyard, casually chatting about what had just happened.
"I did that lady a small favor," Albert said vaguely, not intending to tell anyone about the Diadem now. He had promised Dumbledore not long ago that he would keep it a secret.
Dumbledore added another Fifty points to Albert, plus a Special Contribution Award.
Albert was fairly satisfied with this. He didn't really care about the score; he gave the Diadem to Dumbledore more for his Special Contribution Award.
He really wanted the mission reward, but it wasn't easy to get three Special Contribution Award while in school.
Of course, Albert didn't want anyone else to know about Ravenclaw's Diadem, otherwise Voldemort might come to Hogwarts next semester and cause him trouble if he found out.
Albert didn't want to confront Voldemort directly. After all, defeating Voldemort was Harry Potter's mission, not his.
"A small favor?" Isobel looked at Albert suspiciously, raising an eyebrow slightly, but didn't ask any further questions. She wasn't a very curious person, and she also knew very well that it would be difficult to get an answer if Albert didn't want to talk about it, nor could she see through his true thoughts. Even if she could, Isobel wouldn't do it, otherwise their relationship would probably be over.
No one wants to be seen through by others.
As a smart woman, Isobel knew how to maintain their relationship, and she also knew that Albert knew what to do.
"It's not the right time yet. I'll tell you when the time comes," Albert said mysteriously.
"Hmm, I'll wait." Isobel lowered her eyes and casually changed the subject. "By the way, any news about Professor Smith?"
"Unfortunately, no. I've asked many people, but there's no news about Professor Smith. It seems he... has completely vanished." Albert's tone carried a strange sense of relief. It must be said that this matter was handled cleanly and efficiently, leaving virtually no clues.
"Oh, what a pity." Isobel breathed a sigh of relief after hearing this.
If someone goes missing, the best course of action is to not find them.
The two chatted for a while longer, talking about the Wildsmith Family. They used the family name as a reference, and after exchanging information, they both found that they knew very little about each other.
Both of them came to the same conclusion: Professor Broad did not tell them anything else in detail either, and they both received summer invitations from Professor Broad.
"If he wanted to tell us, he definitely would. If he didn't want to, asking him again would be pointless." Isobel's tone was calm, showing she didn't care about the matter at all. As a genius, she was equally confident.
Albert didn't intend to delve into the matter, nor did he particularly care about such things.
After all, he's a man with superhuman abilities.
"Oh, right, do you remember the Rune Stone Divination from back then?" Albert suddenly said. "That thing was pretty accurate. I did Divination for myself back then, and the result was the same as yours. In the end, it really came true."
"Perhaps it's just a coincidence!" Isobel didn't really believe in Divination.
"No, it's not a coincidence. Some people can indeed get some omens through Rune Stone Divination." Albert lowered his voice and said, "The Bronze Book has a section on Rune Stone Divination a crystal ball, it can predict some things."
"It seems you've learned quite a bit from that book." Isobel's tone carried a hint of envy. She had also read the book and could understand some of it, but she couldn't grasp the deeper meanings like Albert did. In his words, her Ancient Runes weren't up to that level; she could only see the surface.
"I have indeed learned some things. Unfortunately, there are still some parts that I don't quite understand." Albert took a talisman off his person and handed it to Isobel.
"A gift for me?" Isobel examined the little trinket in his hand. It was a small, delicate object— Griffin resting on its back.
"It looks good."
"The latest research findings," Albert said, "Unfortunately, have reached a bottleneck. Help me see if there's anything we can do to break through."
"I will," Isobel reminded him with a smile. "Someone is calling you."
"I know." Albert saw the Twins waving at him. "I'm off! They always think we're on a date."
"Oh!" Isobel responded, then asked, "What's your answer?"
"How do you expect me to answer?" Albert walked over to his roommates before Isobel could speak.
"A talisman?" Isobel put it away and turned to leave.
What did you do?
Albert had just walked over when he heard George's question.
"What did you do? What do you mean?" Albert raised an eyebrow.
"That unlucky Kenneth Toller discovered you had two Special Contribution Award while wiping down the trophies in the Trophy Room." Lee Jordan's tone was very excited, and everyone around turned to look at him.
"How come I didn't know?" Albert rolled his eyes at Lee Jordan and said irritably, "He probably saw it wrong!"
The three seemed about to say something more when Albert interrupted them.
He turned his head slightly in the direction Isobel had gone and said, "Please, didn't you see..."
"I remember she was in Fourth Year!"
"Oh, I didn't expect you to be..."
"We were just discussing Rune Stone Divination. Last time, Professor Trelawney Sybill Trelawney's Rune Stone Divination for us came true!" Albert said casually. "And, she's only a year older than me."
The four looked at each other, not understanding Albert's meaning for a moment.
"I'm a year older than you," Albert said irritably.
"And then?" Fred asked, puzzled.
"If I were born before September and she was born at the end of September, we would be in the same class."
All three of them were stunned, their minds unable to process it for a moment, but after thinking about it carefully, they realized that was indeed the case.
"You've been so rambling that I almost forgot what I was going to say."
What's up?
"We're temporarily leading by a narrow margin. What did you do to add a hundred points all of a sudden?" Fred said in a low voice. "Everyone's talking about it now."
"The Slytherin people are furious," George said gleefully. "I also heard they went to Snape to protest."
"They believe there's something fishy going on," Lee Jordan added.
"A conspiracy?" Albert said irritably. "How come I don't know about a conspiracy? Also, don't just pin things on me for no reason. I'm not a professional scapegoat."
