Final Boss
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan were utterly astonished when they saw Albert emerge from the eerie mist on a broomstick.
Although the three of them couldn't figure out what was going on for a while, Albert flying out on a broomstick undoubtedly proved that the trick was very effective.
The three surrounded Albert and bombarded him with questions.
Albert didn't hide anything and directly told his roommates about his experiences and observations in the fog.
The three fell silent upon hearing this, secretly relieved. If they hadn't waited for Albert to come out and had instead run blindly into the fog, they would all have been in deep trouble.
"What are you planning to do? Are you going to enjoy the fun of navigating this Magical Mist, or are you going to fly over on broomsticks?" "Let's ride broomsticks! Don't waste time on our adventure!" Fred said righteously.
"That's what I think too," George immediately agreed.
"You guys really shouldn't give it a try, the challenges are really exciting," Albert suggested with a smile.
"Why didn't Gryffindor consider the Flying Broom?" Lee Jordan changed the subject.
"Didn't you read ' Quidditch Through the Ages '?" Albert smiled and shook his head. "The book has an introduction to Flying Broom."
"Ahem, I think we should go over there first!" Lee Jordan added, "I don't really want to use the Silver Arrow. How about we switch? That antique broom feels unsafe!"
Albert couldn't help but roll his eyes, but he didn't refuse to exchange brooms with Lee Jordan; it didn't really matter to him which broom he used.
"It's your Flight Technique that are terrible, not the broom that's bad!" George muttered.
"You're so talkative!" Lee Jordan glared at him.
As it turned out, Lee Jordan's Flight Technique were indeed terrible. He actually fell off the broom while flying upside down, and Fred had to pull him up so that the four of them could fly through the fog successfully.
"Did you almost wet your pants in fear?!" George couldn't help but chuckle at the disheveled Lee Jordan, only to be glared at by Albert and shut up obediently.
Are you alright?
"I thought I was going to get stabbed to death by those Stone Cone just now," Lee Jordan muttered under his breath.
"He's not dead yet, is he?" Albert patted Lee Jordan on the shoulder to comfort him. He'd get used to it after a few more times; this Inverted Corridor was really thrilling.
"I don't want to do it again."
"Don't be silly, we'll have to do it again when we get back." Fred chuckled maliciously.
"Alright, let's go!"
After turning a corner, Albert felt that everyone was going downhill, and they didn't encounter anything exciting along the way, until they came to a spacious room.
As soon as they entered the room, blue torches suddenly lit up on the surrounding walls. The room was very spacious, with a very tall stone statue inside. When Albert and his companions stepped into the room, the huge stone statue moved, giving them a feeling of entering a boss room in a game.
"Hey, hey, stop joking around, are you telling us to beat this big guy?" George couldn't help but exclaim.
There was no way around it; every time the giant stone statue moved, the ground beneath its feet would tremble.
Albert's expression wasn't good either; after all, being hit by this behemoth was no joke.
"Don't just stand there!" Albert cursed inwardly, pulling the stunned group back into the corridor. Luckily, the room wasn't enclosed, or these dazed guys would probably be in deep trouble.
"What are you all spacing out for? Do you want to die?" Albert snapped irritably.
"The upside-down corridor earlier was one thing, but this is no joke. If someone gets hit by that thing, they could really die," Fred said, looking at the giant, motionless stone statue.
"Can we use the Disillusionment Charm, or ride a broomstick...?"
"Quiet!" Albert shouted, as he could tell that none of the three wanted to face the enormous stone statue in the room.
Is there any good way?
"This level is also a test for Gryffindor. You should see that door on the other side, right? I reckon you have to defeat that giant statue before the door will open," Albert continued.
The three looked at each other, hesitant. They loved adventure, but that didn't mean they wanted to die. If they were stepped on by the giant statue, they would probably be turned into mincemeat.
"I won't force you," Albert said calmly. "Anyway, I'm definitely going to go in and see what treasures Gryffindor has left behind."
"Fight it!" Fred said through gritted teeth.
"Right."
"What do you suggest we do?"
As friends, the three wouldn't let Albert face the giant statue alone.
The three of them managed to pass the first challenge by using tricks, but this one was clearly beyond their capabilities. If they couldn't overcome the obstacles set up by Gryffindor through their own strength, what right did they have to obtain the treasures inside?
After Albert gave a brief explanation of the tactics, the four of them re-entered the room. The Giant statue regained its mobility, and the huge sound it made when it moved created a strong sense of oppression.
Albert waved his wand and cast an Exploding Charm on the giant stone statue, rendering it immobile. This was a simple tactic devised by the four of them; this big guy didn't have a brain.
The Exploding Charm exploded on the giant statue's leg, but the spell's power was insufficient to sever it.
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan then used Obstruction Jinx to abruptly stop the other leg of the giant statue, causing it to lose its balance and crash heavily to the ground with a loud thud that shook the entire room.
"A stone statue is just a stone statue, it just looks a bit scary."
A few minutes later, Albert used the Exploding Charm to blow the statue's head and limbs to pieces, finally rendering it unable to move.
"It was a bit big, but I didn't expect it to be so easy to deal with!" Fred breathed a sigh of relief as he looked at the fallen statue.
"No, this level is actually very difficult. The body of this giant stone statue is very sturdy, and it is probably enchanted," Albert analyzed. "My Exploding Charm is very powerful; it can kill an Acromantula in one go. I used the Exploding Charm many times before it finally stopped."
"You mean..."
"Ordinary spells probably won't have much effect on it," Albert said to Fred. "If you don't believe me, you can try using the Cutting Curse or the Shattering Charm."
The three of them tried the Shattering Charm on the giant stone statue, and just as Albert had said, the statue's body was extremely sturdy, and their Shattering Charm had no effect.
The three of them turned to Albert in unison and said, "We also want to learn the Exploding Charm."
"Let's master the basics first. This spell is one of the more difficult ones." Albert didn't refuse, but he didn't agree either. He didn't want his roommates to be too ambitious, and besides, this spell was a bit dangerous. If it were used on students carelessly, who knows what might happen.
"Let's go in and see what good things Gryffindor left here." Albert took the lead and walked towards the door.
After the four men knocked down the giant stone statue, the door opened automatically.
Incidentally, that stone door cannot be entered without defeating the giant stone statue guarding it, unless powerful magic is used to blast the stone door open directly, which is obviously more difficult than defeating the guard.
