In the following days, Albert did not go to the woods to the north again, nor did he encounter Louise again.

Nia's skiing lessons weren't going smoothly; she often fell, and sometimes she would even drag Albert along to roll around in the snow.

Similar scenes are frequently seen on the Snow Slope near the town. It's not just Nia who does this; other travelers who aren't skilled skiers do the same.

Everyone's situation was similar, so no one felt embarrassed. Experienced skiers would take the cable car to other skiing spots.

"Failed again!"

Nia reached out and helped Albert up from the snow, muttering softly.

"Maybe I'm not good at teaching people to ski. I'll have Dad come and teach you!" Albert readily took the blame, reached out to shake the snow off Nia, and gently comforted her.

"You must think I'm stupid!" the girl pouted unhappily. "So, you don't want to teach me anymore."

"Alright, keep practicing!" Albert said with a sigh.

"Balance is very important when skiing, just like ice skating and cycling," Albert told Nia. "At the beginning, you don't need to rush. Any similar sport requires taking it one step at a time. It's unrealistic to expect to succeed in one step."

"Mmm!" The girl nodded, and soon after, she and Albert fell down together.

"Feel sorry."

"Are you alright? Are you hurt?"

"No."

"That's good."

I don't know how many times this kind of conversation has been repeated.

Actually, Albert doesn't know how to ski either. His skiing skills were upgraded through experience, and he was only at level one. His skiing technique was also very average. When he was teaching Nia, he was just passing on his own skiing feel to her.

Albert had thought Nia's balance was terrible, which was why she often fell. Now it seemed most likely that it was his teacher who was incompetent.

Around noon, Daisy and Herb returned from skiing and came over to the Snow Slope to check on the situation, only to find the two siblings had fallen together.

"I probably really can't teach anyone to ski!" Albert said to Herb helplessly. He had been teaching Nia for several days, but Nia still hadn't learned.

As it turned out, Albert's guess was correct; he was indeed not good at teaching. Daisy taught Nia how to ski in just half an hour.

Although her skating wasn't very smooth, Nia did learn it, which frustrated Albert and made him doubt his teaching abilities.

"It seems I'm really not cut out to be a teacher," he muttered to himself.

"To celebrate Nia learning to ski, let's go to that French restaurant we went to last time. The food there is really good!" Herb led the family of four toward the restaurant.

As for the other member of the family, the Fat Cat Tom, he was lying on the soft cushion sleeping with his paws tucked in.

The food at that restaurant was indeed quite good, very authentic France cuisine, but it was a bit pricey.

Many national cuisines undergo strange changes in taste when they are introduced to other countries in order to adapt to the tastes of other people.

Aside from going to the country itself, it's difficult to find authentic food. Most uninformed people even believe that that's how cuisines from different countries should be.

The four of them ate and chatted about skiing. Herb discovered some nice spots while skiing and planned to take them there to take pictures.

However, Albert believed that Nia needed to practice skiing more, so he postponed the matter.

In fact, Albert wasn't very interested in skiing. Most of the time, he only spent time and effort to improve his skills because he felt he should know how.

"We meet again, Mr. Anderson!"

Just then, someone walked over and greeted him in a familiar tone.

Albert looked up abruptly at the newcomer, a moment of surprise on his face.

The Anderson family looked at the beautiful girl in front of them with suspicion, but soon realized that she was looking for Albert, and they all turned to look at Albert.

"The food at this restaurant is quite good," Albert said casually. "Are you alone?"

"They're over there," Louise smiled at a plainly dressed couple not far away.

Albert nodded slightly in that direction, but showed no intention of going over to get to know the other person.

However, Mr. Delacour walked over on his own.

"Nice to meet you, Mr. Anderson. I hope you won't find it presumptuous." The other man spoke broken English, which seemed to be uncommon.

"It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Delacour." Albert greeted him formally in French, because the other man's English was so poor that he had a hard time understanding him.

"Muggle sports are just as fun," Mr. Delacour said to himself. "Last time, I learned it in a few days. Last winter, when Hertok came to France, I invited him to come skiing here, but he didn't seem to like it much."

Albert sensed something unusual.

"Don't look at me like that. I've known Hertok for several years, and I've heard he thinks highly of you. If you were a few years older, I would certainly welcome you to pursue my daughter Louise. She's very beautiful, isn't she?" Mr. Delacour winked at Albert.

This guy was a natural at making friends, Grawp and even trying to sell Albert his daughter, which earned him several eye rolls from Louise and his wife.

Albert opened his mouth, but for a moment he didn't know what to say.

"You seem unaware of your own fame?" Mr. Delacour suddenly said, probably noticing Albert's surprised expression.

"Have no idea."

"I've read some of your papers; they're very impressive. Many people think you might be the next Dumbledore," Mr. Delacour said with a hint of joking.

Albert didn't take it seriously and let the other person continue.

"I heard that Hertok is researching a potion that can restore Werewolf?"

"I don't know," Albert said calmly. "However, it's not easy for Werewolf to completely transform into a normal human. What you're talking about is likely an inhibitor that makes the Werewolf's transformation less dangerous."

"I think so too," Mr. Delacour nodded. "That condition is incurable. By the way, do you know about the bet between Hertok and Mr. Damocles?"

"I remember they seemed to have a pretty good relationship!"

"Um?"

"It's hard to imagine that Mr. Dagworth would agree to such a bet." Albert didn't quite believe it. He knew that Mr. Dagworth had already achieved too much glory and wasn't very interested in many things except Potions.

"I don't know Mr. Damocles very well," Mr. Delacour, looking at Albert with curiosity.

"Mr. Dagworth probably wants to Mr. Damocles a hand," Albert said after a moment's thought. "After all, another Order of Merlin wouldn't be of much use to Mr. Dagworth, while Mr. Damocles obviously needs that Order of Merlin."
