You're Famous
Good morning, Nia.
Herb opened the door, looked at his daughter standing outside, smiled and stepped aside to let Nia into the room.
"Albert told me to wake you up after eight o'clock." Nia pouted a little unhappily. "He always thinks I'm still a child who needs to be taken care of."
"You're still a child," Daisy said, giving her daughter a good morning kiss and smiling as she asked, "Where's Albert?"
"He took Tom out for a walk," Nia complained. "He said he wanted to find a secluded place."
Nia was frustrated because in her family's eyes, she would always be the child who never grew up, even though when Albert was her age, her family was very at ease with him.
"Alright." Herb could tell that his daughter was in a bad mood, so he comforted her, "Once you go to middle school, no one will treat you like a child anymore."
"But I want to go to Hogwarts."
"That will have to wait until you receive your Hogwarts acceptance letter," Daisy reassured her. "Don't worry, it's only the beginning of the month. Albert hasn't received a letter from Hogwarts either."
Daisy didn't believe her daughter would be a witch. Nia hadn't shown any strange abilities since she was little, and she trusted her son's judgment.
After all, wizards understand wizards better! In fact, neither Daisy nor Herb wanted Nia to become a wizard, even though it was only for two years. They both realized that Albert had become somewhat distant from them.
The values and worldviews of the two worlds are ultimately slightly different. When Albert fully integrates into the Wizarding World, his connection with them will gradually become distant, and he may even lose contact with them completely.
"You can ask Albert to tell you interesting stories about the Wizarding World!" Herb said, taking Nia's hand. "Let's go down for breakfast; France food is really great." He quickly changed the subject after noticing his wife's disapproving look. "By the way, did Albert say when he'll be back?"
"No, he's been out for half an hour." Nia looked out the window and decided to have Albert teach her to ski later.
At this moment, in the woods north of the resort, Albert looked at Tom, who was frolicking excitedly, with a helpless expression. This fat cat, covered in fat, was indeed not afraid of the cold.
"Tom, don't run around. If you get lost, I won't be responsible for you." Albert took a few steps forward, trying to grab Tom's leash and pull him back.
Unexpectedly, the fat guy ran incredibly fast, and it managed to escape.
A short while later, Tom ran back on his own, as if he had encountered something terrible. He actually hid behind Albert's feet, but because he was too fat, most of his body couldn't be hidden properly, which made Albert laugh.
"Hmm, I didn't expect you to be such a coward." Albert reached out and picked up the fat cat, then looked up at the passengers parked nearby, a hint of surprise on his face.
Someone's skiing in the forest? Is he looking for thrills? The person stopped not far from Albert, took off his goggles and looked this way. He seemed to see something interesting, and suddenly froze.
Albert also looked at the newcomer, frowning slightly. He hadn't expected to meet anyone else here, and the way the other person was looking at him... was a little strange.
She was a very beautiful woman, Albert suspected she was the same woman he had seen the night before who appeared to have Veela blood. He had no intention of getting involved with her and took Tom back to the hotel for breakfast.
"Sorry, I think I startled your cat, Mr. Anderson." The young woman's tone was practiced, as if they had known each other for a long time.
"Do we know each other?" Albert stopped and narrowed his eyes slightly as he looked at the woman opposite him. He didn't remember ever having any interaction with her.
"I don't know you, but I've heard of you. After all, you're quite famous, Mr. Anderson. Albert Anderson!" The woman gave a confident smile and introduced herself, "My name is Louise Delacour, it's a pleasure to meet you here."
"I'm very famous!" Albert frowned slightly. He vaguely remembered the surname Delacour, it seemed to be...
"Are you the daughter of the helpful Mr. Delacour that Mr. Claude mentioned?" Albert asked, raising an eyebrow.
"The helpful Mr. Delacour you mentioned is my uncle," Louise Delacour said with a smile. "Uncle Claude once told Uncle Delacour about you. I was a guest at their house at the time and happened to see his memories together. Uncle Claude thought highly of you, saying you were a genius and would definitely become a very powerful wizard in the future."
After saying that, Louise Delacour looked Albert up and down and nodded, saying, "Uncle Claude is right, you are indeed very capable. You figured out who I was right away. By the way, your French is also very fluent."
Louise Delacour was genuinely impressed by Albert's ability to immediately recognize her, especially given his impeccable French. At least, she admitted she couldn't speak a foreign language that well.
Welcome to France!
For a moment, Albert felt himself become dazed, Louise Delacour became incredibly charming in front of him.
"I've heard that there are magic schools in France too." Albert turned his gaze away from Louise Delacour and changed the subject away from himself.
Albert always felt embarrassed when talking about his own affairs.
"Beauxbatons Academy of Magic!" Louise said cheerfully. "I studied there. Beauxbatons Academy of Magic is a beautiful school. I've heard that Hogwarts School and Wizardry in Britain has a similarly long history."
"Yes, that's also a school with a long history." Albert took out his pocket watch, glanced at the time, and gave the other person an apologetic smile. "I should go back now, otherwise my family will definitely worry. Let's talk another day. By the way, I think you should tone down your charm a bit. I heard that several couples broke up yesterday."
Albert picked up Tom, turned around, and left.
"What an unlovable guy!" Louise watched Albert's departing figure, a pleased smile playing on her lips. She had indeed released a little bit of her charm, trying to tease this genius.
Unfortunately, her irresistible charm seemed to have run into a snag with Albert!
"Delacour?" Albert muttered. The Veela bloodline is really unfair. The Veela's own flaws were not passed down to her offspring, but her advantages were.
Albert admitted that Louise was indeed a very charming woman, but he felt it was better to keep his distance from her to avoid embarrassing himself in front of her one day.
Those unfortunate men still suffering from their girlfriends' threats of breaking up are definitely the result of that person's perverse sense of humor.
