Bitten by a Dog
After leaving the Great Hall, the Hogwarts professors prepared to search for the Troll's trail.
These mindless creatures, Troll, could very well pose a threat to the students' lives. The professors need to find and subdue Troll quickly to avoid causing any unnecessary trouble.
At this moment, Snape, sensing a conspiracy from the Troll incident, is rushing to the Fourth Floor Forbidden Area Corridor to stop the guys who are after the Philosopher's Stone.
Quirrell is very likely a Death Eater, Troll may have been the one who put it into the castle to divert people's attention.
Although Snape couldn't be sure, he was certain that Quirrell, who usually stuttered, had his eye on the Philosopher's Stone.
What a foolish and arrogant fellow! Does he really think no one notices his little tricks? Snape needs to stop him before he does something stupid. Dumbledore tells him to keep a close eye on Quirrell and find out who's behind it all.
As for stealing the Philosopher's Stone? Snape didn't believe Quirrell could steal Philosopher's Stone right under Dumbledore's nose.
When Snape arrived at the Third Floor Corridor, he saw that someone had already opened the wooden door leading to the Fourth Floor Forbidden Area Corridor. He rushed over, trying to block Quirrell.
However, when Snape broke into the Fourth Floor Forbidden Area Corridor, he found that Quirrell was nowhere to be seen. To make matters worse, the wooden door where Three-Headed Dog was kept had been opened at some point.
Damn it!
Could Quirrell have already stumbled into the traps set by the professors?
Snape strode over to check the situation inside, but the Three-Headed Dog, hearing the noise in the corridor, burst through the half-closed wooden door and pounced on Snape.
Snape was startled and quickly waved his wand, trying to drive away the Three-Headed Dog that was lunging at him. The Charms did make the Three-Headed Dog's biting head back, but this guy had three heads.
In the rush, Snape had no way of keeping an eye on Three-Headed Dog.
Thus, Albert's Prophecy came true.
One of Three-Headed Dog's heads bit Snape's leg, and the intense pain completely contorted the Potions Professor's face. He was also pulled to the ground by the force of Three-Headed Dog's pull.
Snape was thrown so hard Venus, and the intense pain left him momentarily dazed.
The next moment, Snape heard hurried footsteps behind him. It was Quirrell. The Defence Against the Dark Arts Professor looked at the scene in surprise and stammered, "Careful, how... how did you get here?"
"Damn it!" Snape used magic on the Three-Headed Dog to make it release its legs. He immediately struggled to his feet, erected a magical barrier in front of him, and repelled the Three-Headed Dog that lunged at him again, quickly leaving the Forbidden Corridor.
"Severus —are you alright?" Quirrell reached out to help Snape up.
"What the hell are you doing?" Snape immediately locked the wooden door to the Forbidden Corridor, checked his wounds, and stared at Quirrell with a grim face. "Don't think I don't know what you're up to."
"But—but, Severus, I—I don't know—I know you—" Quirrell seemed terrified by Snape, and he was stammering.
"You know exactly what I mean," Snape said grimly. "Whom are you loyal to, the Dark Lord, or some Death Eater? Forget your foolish idea; you'll never be able to steal the Philosopher's Stone under Dumbledore's nose."
"I don't--"
"Don't think I don't know your little tricks." Snape was certain that Quirrell had his eye on the Philosopher's Stone, and that he had been tricked by him, almost having his leg bitten off by Hagrid's big dog.
"I—I—"
Snape ignored Quirrell and limped away.
Quirrell watched Snape's departing figure and quickly followed after him.
The two were completely unaware that their every move was being watched by someone. In particular, when Albert passed by, he felt a great sense of pleasure seeing Snape limping. He went straight to the Third Floor, entered the men's restroom, took out his pocket watch to check the time, and waited for the person to arrive.
A moment later, there was a rhythmic knocking on the bathroom door. Albert took a deep breath, opened the door, looked at the man outside who looked exactly like him, and raised his hand to make an OK sign.
The two passed each other, Albert walked straight outside, where he saw his roommates waiting for him in the hallway. Fred and George were eating Pumpkin Pie, and Lee Jordan was holding a piece of Honey Roasted Pumpkin. The three of them were talking about Troll.
Well, no matter how you look at it, this whole thing is definitely strange.
When they returned to the Common Room, they found a large group of Gryffindor students crammed there. Percy Weasley glared angrily at the four who had just walked in.
"What the hell are you guys doing!" Percy took a deep breath, suppressing his anger.
"What the hell?" Fred pretended not to understand. "We're not doing anything."
"Don't be angry, Percy, have a candy." George pulled a candy out of his pocket, forced it into Percy's hand, patted him on the shoulder and said, "We just went to the bathroom on the way and drank too much Pumpkin Juice."
"It's just a Troll, no need to be so nervous. Those idiots' stench can be smelled from far away, we can easily avoid them," Lee Jordan casually reassured him.
"I reckon the professors have already solved the problem," Albert said casually. "There's really no need to make a fuss over it."
Percy was left speechless by the comments from the four people.
A Troll.
Well, what a damn Troll.
Percy, however, didn't quite understand why they completely disregarded the Troll.
Everyone crowded into the Gryffindor Common Room, discussing how the Troll had managed to break into Hogwarts Castle and cause such a Common Room.
Angelina walked over, looked at Albert and the others, and said with a smile, "I heard that you ate your fill in the hall before coming back."
"That's not true." Albert promptly denied it and changed the subject, saying, "They'll bring the food over soon, since everyone's still hungry."
Albert's words soon came true; the house- House-elf did indeed bring the unfinished food from the Great Hall to the Gryffindor Common Room.
Students who weren't full immediately rushed over, filling their plates with their favorite foods. They ate and chatted, making the Common Room even noisier.
Just then, the door to the Common Room reopened, and Hermione Granger walked in.
Albert watched Hermione's retreating figure, smiled, raised his glass, and took a sip.
"What are you laughing at?" Shanna asked.
The door to the Common Room reopened, and Harry and Ron walked in.
"Where do you think they went just now?" Shanna followed Albert's gaze and noticed Harry and Ron as well, frowning as she asked.
"Maybe he'll become Champion who defeats Troll," Albert joked.
"Champion who defeated Troll?" Fred, hearing Albert's words, looked at Harry and Ron walking towards them and raised an eyebrow slightly. "Ugh, you two didn't actually go and fight Troll just now, did you?"
"I just defeated that Troll," Ron announced proudly.
"Okay, okay, Champion who have defeated the Troll, please don't come any closer, thank you." George blocked Ron a few steps away with a look of disgust. "The smell on you will affect our appetite."
"Nonsense," Ron said angrily. "We don't smell at all."
"Go take a shower quickly. If you want something to eat, I can save some for you," Fred said, wrinkling his nose.
After Harry and Ron left, Albert suddenly said, "I bet they definitely encountered Troll, and had close contact with Troll. The smell was unbearable."
"I really don't know why they like dealing with those stinky bastards," Lee Jordan muttered. "Did they actually defeat that Troll?"
"Who knows?" Albert said nonchalantly. "Just a Troll."
The next morning, while having breakfast, Albert noticed Snape's unusual behavior; the Potions Professor was limping away from the hall.
"What happened to his leg?" George swallowed the bread in his mouth and looked up at Snape's departing figure.
"He was probably bitten by a dog!"
Watching Snape limp away, Fred said gleefully, "I hope he's in a lot of pain."
"The Three-Headed Dog bite wound won't heal quickly; that guy's probably going to be in pain for a long time," Albert announced cheerfully.
"So even Snape couldn't escape Albert's sharp tongue, that's terrifying," Lee Jordan teased, feigning shock.
The four looked at each other and couldn't help but laugh.
Taking advantage of the brief time before class, the group sneaked through the secret passage to get in front of Snape and once again witness the Potions Professor's unfortunate state.
They even deliberately whispered about what was wrong with Snape's leg when they passed Snape.
Watching Snape limp away, the four of them immediately felt cheerful.
"Speaking of which, how did Snape get bitten by the dog?" George suddenly said.
"Perhaps Snape wants to get past that three-headed dog?" Fred tentatively guessed. "He wants to steal that thing Dumbledore left in the castle."
"So, it really was him who let that Troll in to divert people's attention?" Lee Jordan shared his guess with everyone.
"I'd rather it was Snape. If it really is him, he'll definitely be kicked out next semester," Albert said, shaking his head.
The other three didn't understand at first.
"That idiot who went to steal it will definitely get caught and will naturally be expelled by the headmaster," Albert said matter-of-factly. "If Snape really had his eye on that thing, he won't see him again next year."
At that moment, everyone was silently praying that Snape was the one who tried to steal the headmaster's things.
