We Understand
On Saturday morning, Albert didn't wake up until almost eight o'clock.
He hasn't slept in for a long time.
Sitting on the bed, Albert scratched his head, recalling what had happened last night. He found it hard to believe that he had actually spent hours chatting with Isobel in bed. Thinking about it now, it really was unbelievable.
He finally understood why his roommates in high school in his previous life could exchange messages with others all night long.
"It's rare to see you sleep in."
Fred looked at Albert, who had just gotten out of bed and was still sleepy-eyed, and couldn't help but laugh. "George was just betting with me that you might sleep until noon."
"How is that possible?" Albert covered another yawn, his gaze shifting downwards to Tom, who was engrossed in eating breakfast. He shook his head in disbelief. Fat Cat Tom's weight showed no signs of decreasing, indicating that completing his weight loss task was a long and arduous journey.
Yesterday, Nia wrote a letter, expressing her concern that Tom was not doing well at school and was being bullied by other cats or kids. She suggested that she should take some photos of Tom and send them back to Nia.
Tom was having a great time at Gryffindor. Everyone knew that this fat cat was Albert's pet. There's a saying that a dog relies on its master's power, and a cat naturally had to rely on its cat dad.
In Gryffindor, everyone gives Albert, this genius, a certain amount of respect.
Tom is now the darling of Albert's dorm, and gets along well with Fred, George, and Lee Jordan.
If Albert doesn't prepare dinner for Tom on time, Fred, George, or Lee Jordan will prepare it for him, and occasionally they'll play with him with a cat toy or brush his fur.
This guy is living a very comfortable and carefree life now, often wandering around the castle.
"This is an idea that George and I got from the Strong Laxative last time." Fred handed his notebook to Albert, who took it and looked at the words on it.
"Skiving Snackbox?"
"That's a good idea." Albert then looked at the Weasley Twins ' concept and drawings.
"The Skiving Snackbox will be a two-tone candy, with different colors at each end."
"Eating one half will cause a fever. On the way from the classroom to the hospital, swallow the other half, and the fever will immediately subside, thus achieving the effect of skipping class," George explained to Albert, outlining his and Fred's new idea.
"It's really good," Albert agreed.
"However, we've encountered some problems." At this point, Fred and George both showed a hint of embarrassment and helplessness. "We haven't found anything that can make someone get a fever if ingested."
Albert immediately understood why Fred and George had been talking to him so much. Hadn't they already rolled their eyes at Lee Jordan? "Don't limit yourself to magical plants. You can also try the properties of some Magical Creatures, such as the toxins of certain Magical Creature." Albert's knowledge of these things was actually quite limited. He could only offer some suggestions to the Twins; the rest was up to them to do their own research.
"You still have plenty of time to find new inspiration and materials. Pay more attention to what the professors teach in class. There are many things that can be used to develop joke props, but you often overlook them." Albert knew very well that his two roommates had lost interest in studying.
He himself felt quite helpless.
Without sufficient knowledge as a foundation, even if you come up with something, you won't be able to put it into action. Just like the Twins who want to make Skiving Snackbox, they don't have enough knowledge reserves.
If Fred and George had extensive knowledge of Herbology and Care of Magical Creatures, they could obtain the appropriate formula immediately; at most, it would just take a little longer to make the antidote.
"When are we going to break into the Fourth Floor Forbidden Area Corridor?" Lee Jordan asked after the three finished talking. They had been training with Albert for a long time and were eager to try out the traps set up by the professors.
All three were convinced that Albert had a way to deal with the big dog.
"Easter," Albert said without hesitation; he had already booked the time. He turned to Lee Jordan and said, "Let's finish this year's Wizard Card Competition by the end of March if possible. I remember we're going to Hogsmeade next month, and everyone will be starting to prepare for exams, so there's not much energy to waste on this."
"That's not a problem."
The four of them quickly packed their things and went downstairs to the lobby for breakfast.
Albert had barely sat down when he received several belated replies.
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan were also pretending to check the food on their plates, as if they were afraid of becoming victims of the laxative incident themselves.
However, the laxative incident has come to an end since Bloody Baron ordered Peeves to stop adding laxatives to food.
As for who gave the laxative to Peeves, even Bloody Baron didn't know.
After all, Albert and Peeves had an agreement that Peeves couldn't leak their information, otherwise they wouldn't provide Peeves with anything interesting anymore.
Peeves naturally didn't want to miss such a good opportunity.
Albert gave him all sorts of interesting things, though the portions were a bit small. That little packet of Ba Shu Bean brought Peeves a lot of joy.
Peeves stopped adding laxatives to food, not because of Bloody Baron, but because Albert had run out of the Ba Shu Bean he had kindly provided.
This will also provide some respite.
Although Peeves likes to be naughty, he also knows very well that everything should be done in moderation.
"What's wrong with you?"
With a sausage in his mouth and a copy of today's Daily Prophet in his hand, George followed Albert's gaze toward the High Table.
"Nothing."
Albert had already looked away; he could sense that Professor Quirrell seemed quite pleased.
What could possibly make him so happy?
Albert thought about it carefully and could roughly guess a few possible reasons.
Professor Quirrell has already gotten his hands on a dragon egg and is planning to use it to bribe Hagrid? "Speaking of which, when did Hagrid get his hands on the dragon egg?" Albert asked absentmindedly as he stuffed the last piece of bread into his mouth, just as he saw Hermione Granger walking towards them.
"Albert, there's something I'd like to talk to Albert about alone," Hermione said, taking a deep breath.
"What is it?" Albert looked at Hermione with a puzzled expression. Noticing her serious gaze, he nodded in agreement. "Oh, okay, let's go over there."
After saying that, Albert turned to his three roommates and said, "You guys go to the library first, I'll come find you later."
"No rush, you guys take your time talking." All three of them gave Albert a knowing look.
