Know How to Enjoy Life

"Tom, Tom, where are you? It's time to go to sleep."

There was a gentle knock on the door of the second-floor room. Nia pushed the door open, quietly peeked in, looked at Albert sitting at the desk, and asked, "Is Tom here?"

"It should have gone to the Master Bedroom to enjoy the air conditioning," Albert said. They have air conditioning in two places in their house: the Master Bedroom where Daisy and Herb sleep and the living room.

As a cat who enjoys life, after the air conditioner in the living room was turned off, it naturally went to the Master Bedroom to enjoy the air conditioning, while only a fan was running in Albert and Nia's room.

"Oh."

Before leaving, Nia took one last look at Albert, then closed the door behind her. She went down the stairs and ran to knock on the Master Bedroom door. "Mom, is Tom with you?"

"Tom's here," Daisy said, pointing to the fat cat on the chair.

"Tom, it's time to go back to sleep."

The girl quickly picked up the Fat Cat Tom and went back to her room.

In the Wizarding World, magic that can create ice is quite rare. At least Albert hasn't discovered any magic that can create ice and cold air. Even the Freezing Charm "freezing," doesn't actually make objects freeze.

As far as Albert knew, the most effective creatures for creating cold air were Dementor. Wherever Dementor appeared, the surrounding temperature would become extremely cold, and even hot water in a cup could freeze into ice cubes in a short time.

If we could seal Dementor inside containers, we might be able to create magical versions of refrigerators and air conditioners.

Dementor- branded air conditioner—just thinking about it is exciting.

"I doubt anyone would dare to buy it!" Albert said self-deprecatingly.

After all, wizards generally keep their distance from Dark Creatures like Dementor.

Not to mention there's an air conditioner in the house that's equipped with Dementor.

In fact, Albert knew that Florin Fosco's ice cream shop used a modified version of Muggle refrigerator, just like Arthur's flying Ford car.

Magic can be quite useful sometimes.

As for the prohibition against casting spells on things made by Muggle? Old Fortescue didn't really care.

Anyway, I don't know the answer, and whether it's illegal or not is another matter.

Moreover, Old Fortescue had a wide network of connections, so basically no one would deliberately cause him trouble.

What are you thinking about?

Isobel's voice came through the Two-Way Mirror.

"I've been wondering how wizards manage to get through the hot summer without air conditioning or fans?" Albert looked at the girl in her pajamas in the Two-Way Mirror and smiled as he shared his thoughts with her.

"You're incredibly bold. I dare say no one but you would ever think of locking up Dementor and using them as a cooling device." Isobel covered his forehead, feeling exasperated by Albert's audacity.

However, having previously used the cursed Mandrakes as a weapon, the girl had no doubt that Albert would one day put it into practice.

Dementor Cooler—that sounds ridiculous.

"It'll definitely become a laughing stock in the Wizarding World!" "A small number of wizards will cast basic movement spells on the blades to achieve the effect you're talking about, like a fan," Isobel said after thinking for a while, trying to explain to Albert.

"Of course, you can also use the Weather Charm to create a windy environment."

"What about most wizards?"

"In fact, most wizards aren't particularly afraid of the heat; they're used to that kind of life," Isobel added. "Especially the Dark wizard, who live in gloomy castles and manors and exude a chilling aura."

Of course, Isobel was just joking when he said the last sentence.

But what she said also made a lot of sense: would Dark wizard be afraid of the heat? No, they aren't.

That's probably the lame joke of the Wizarding World! "Is Pearl Milk Tea good?" Albert changed the subject.

Talking about Dementor and Dark wizard at night is just too unromantic.

"That tastes great. Katrina really likes those chewy black pearls."

Isobel rested her chin on her hands, gazing at Albert in the Two-Way Mirror, and said, "However, I tried to make it several times using the tapioca flour you sent, but I couldn't succeed. Is Pearl Milk Tea a drink from where you're from?"

"I guess so. It's a very popular drink, and people usually add ice to it." Albert paused, then asked, "I'm curious, how do wizards get ice? Don't they need to preserve food?"

"Well... I'm not quite sure," Isobel said, shaking his head.

"Most wizards don't care much about making themselves more comfortable; they don't even know how to enjoy life as much as Tom," Albert said with a sigh. "They never use magic to improve their living conditions."

"I can tell you're someone who enjoys life," Isobel said casually.

"Nobody wants to freeze in the cold winter, and nobody wants to be hot in the warm weather," Albert muttered. "The wizards in the British magical world are a bit old-fashioned. I've heard that most wizards in United States are very familiar with Muggle life and know how to make a better living."

"I'm not very familiar with the United States Wizarding World."

"You can help me find some relevant magic and teach me when I go to school. It's so frustrating not being able to use magic." Albert couldn't help but complain about it again. "I don't even dare to tap my wand anymore. Hertok mentioned that toad Dolores to me. I don't want to deal with the Director the Ministry of Magic Misuse of Magic Office. That guy is a complete nuisance."

"Okay, but don't get your expectations too high." Isobel covered a yawn.

Just then, an owl flew in through the window. Albert thought it was Shera returning, but it turned out to be a gray night owl.

It tossed a letter on the table, ate some owl nuts from Shera's trough, and then flew away.

Fortunately, Shera wasn't there, otherwise the two sides would probably have started fighting.

Shera seems to have something to do today; she flew away on her own. I guess I don't know where she went to send a message back for me.

"Katrina's here, that's all for now, goodnight!"

Isobel took a piece of cloth, wrapped the Two-Way Mirror, and put it in the drawer next to him.

"Good night."

Albert put away the Two-Way Mirror and was about to open Sera's letter when another owl flew in. Shera had returned and brought him a letter.

Albert was somewhat surprised to learn that the letter was written by Hermione.

Hermione said in her letter that she had lost contact with Harry, and Ron had also been unable to get in touch with Harry.

Albert naturally knew what was wrong with Harry: the Malfoy family's House-elf had intercepted all of Harry Potter's letters.

"He might be in some trouble. Potter's family doesn't seem to like wizards very much. Maybe they won't let Potter reply to his letters and have locked up his owl. You know, underage wizards can't use magic." Albert wrote some advice to Hermione: "If you still can't get in touch with Potter, you could go to the Potter family. I think Hagrid should know where Harry lives."

"You can contact Hagrid and tell him that Harry is in a little trouble. I think Hagrid would be happy to go there himself."

After Albert, he did not give the letter to Shera, but planned to wait for his owl to recover its strength before sending it to deliver the letter.

Just then, another owl flew in and dropped a letter on his desk.

Albert picked up the letter with a strange expression, because the letter actually came from the United States, across the ocean.

I don't have many friends in the United States.
