An Unexpected Invitation
Out of caution, Albert used Secrecy Detector and Honesty Detector to poke the envelope a few times before opening the letter to make sure there was nothing strange or Dark Magic inside.
He usually handles items sent by strangers in this way.
Of course, before opening the envelope, I would remember to put on Dragonhide Gloves, for who knows what might be inside.
This is a letter from United States, sent by a wizard named Nicholas. Albert certainly doesn't know him. This person should also be an alchemist, because he mentioned Sera Harishis in the letter.
The other party directly invited him to the United States, but did not explain the reasons in detail, leaving Albert somewhat confused when he read the letter.
Furthermore, the sender also reminded Albert at the end of the letter not to use an owl to send the reply, because the American magical world forbids the use of owls Muggle send letters, as doing so would likely attract the attention of Muggle.
Owls in United States are out of work? Are you kidding me? How did this letter get here? Albert was a bit confused.
In addition to the invitation letter, there were two tickets in the letter.
Yes, train ticket.
Tickets for Platform Seven and a Half at King's Cross Station.
As far as Albert knew, Platform Seven and a Half was located between Platforms 7 and 8, from where one could board the long-distance train bound for Wizarding Village on the Europe continent.
That's right, go to Europe, not United States.
Didn't that guy invite me to United States?
Why is this kind of ticket included?
What puzzled Albert even more was that, in addition to this, there was another Floo Network ticket, a Floo Network license ticket to the United States.
The specific time was 11:40 AM on July 18th, at fireplace number seventeen.
Moreover, the ticket didn't mention any specific location, let alone tell Albert where to get off or where to use the International Floo Network. It was completely nonexistent, which was utterly baffling.
All right!
Does this mean that Sera should take him there?
Albert opened the letter Sera had sent him. It said nothing at all, only that she was going to United States to visit her friend Nicholas and invited Albert to go with her to United States to meet the famous alchemist.
Was it just a simple meeting? Albert was skeptical, since neither Sera nor Nicholas had provided details in their letters.
Generally speaking, the shorter and more vague the letter, the more important it is, especially in this situation, where they should at least give themselves a brief explanation.
Otherwise, the situation would be very abnormal.
What exactly is the reason? Actually, staying at home during summer vacation is quite nice. In this hot weather, running around is really pointless, it's not like we're on vacation.
However, whether it was Bard or anyone else who approached him, they clearly had their own motives.
Expanding his network? Or was it really necessary to get to know Nicholas? Albert wrote his doubts on a piece of paper, then put it in an envelope and sealed it.
There aren't enough owls.
He sighed, and instead of letting Shera deliver the letter immediately, he stuffed it into the drawer, intending to deal with it tomorrow.
While a direct refusal wouldn't be out of the question, Albert still thought it was better to ask, as it might trigger some kind of mission.
Outside of Hogwarts School, the probability of triggering panel quests is consistently low, and the quests themselves are quite difficult.
The next morning, Albert was awakened by the hooting of an owl.
When he opened his eyes and sat up, he found a brown owl in his room, Shera on the owl stand.
Albert was surprised that the two owls were staring at each other without fighting.
Albert walked to the desk, first handing Hermione's letter to Shera, then taking out two more letters and placing them on the desk.
I doubt anyone else has a problem like his! The owl landed on the letter addressed to Bard Brood.
Albert picked up the letter and handed it to the owl, letting it take the envelope and leave.
After putting the letter for Sera back into the closet, Albert washed up and went downstairs to have breakfast when he heard scratching at Nia's door.
Albert gently knocked on the door, but there was no response from inside. Albert then quietly opened the door and let Tom out of the room.
Nia was still sleeping, but her sleeping position wasn't very good.
Albert closed the door again, and the two of them, the cat and the man, went downstairs for breakfast.
Daisy was frying bacon, while Herb was flipping through today's newspaper. Hearing footsteps, he looked up and greeted Albert.
"Last night, someone sent me a letter inviting me..."
"Invited to you... again by those so-called experts and professors?"
Daisy, who had just placed the fried bacon on a plate, stared at her son, clearly sensitive about the matter.
Daisy wasn't too keen on her son running around, and although they had a lot of faith in Albert's abilities, they were still a little worried about his young age.
"Well, I haven't decided yet. I'll talk about it when I'm sure," Albert said vaguely. He didn't like bacon; it was really salty, and he never ate it on its own except when making bacon sandwiches.
"Son, I have great faith in your abilities, but we're still a little worried about you always running around like this." Herb put down his newspaper and said seriously, "If you want to go out, take that mirror with you, and remember to contact us on time every day."
Daisy stood with her hands on her hips, glaring at her husband with displeasure. She had thought Herb would stop Albert, but she hadn't expected him to indulge his son like this.
So now Albert likes to run around during summer vacation.
"Don't stay out too long, Mom will worry," Herb added.
"Um."
Albert weighed the cat food and poured it into Tom's plate.
Tom looked at the food in his bowl, grumbled a couple of times in dissatisfaction, and then started eating.
As Albert returned to his seat, preparing to make himself a bacon sandwich, he suddenly saw an owl fly in through the window. This very old owl seemed to have exhausted all its strength during its journey and almost collapsed onto the table, dying instantly.
"This owl is very old, they are abusing it."
Herb promptly picked up the food and, looking at the exhausted old owl on the table, protested to Albert.
"It really should be retired," Albert nodded in agreement.
The Weasley family ' owl, what was it called again?
Albert doesn't remember.
He put the owl in a place to rest and provided it with some water and food.
The letter was sent by the Twins, reporting (showing off) their latest achievements and attaching several finished products. Finally, they asked Albert to take some time to help them solve some problems they encountered.
