Within Reach, Beyond Use
I really don't know how the Weasley Twins managed to Filibuster Firework into the mouth of such a Fire Salamander.
Just as Albert was sighing, he suddenly heard a "whoosh" and the poor Fire Salamander suddenly leaped into the air, as if someone had attached a flamethrower to its mouth, constantly spewing sparks out and frantically darting around the Common Room. The crackling sound immediately attracted everyone's attention.
With a series of loud bangs, the Filibuster Firework, exploded in the Fire Salamander's mouth. Incredibly, the Reducto didn't kill the poor Fire Salamander.
At this moment, the Fire Salamander was still darting around in mid-air, constantly spitting out beautiful orange-red stars from its mouth, attracting the attention of countless students.
What are you guys doing?!
Percy, who had just come down the stairs, yelled at Fred and George at the top of his lungs. The poor Fire Salamander finally seized the opportunity, escaped the Twins ' clutches, and slipped into the fire to hide.
"Don't be angry, Percy, everyone found it funny." Someone tried to smooth things over, not blaming Fred and George for bothering them, but Percy still scolded the Twins harshly for several minutes in a hoarse voice.
After the excitement subsided, people continued to sit down to read, chat, and do their homework.
At that moment, it was still pouring rain outside the window. Fred and George sat down next to Albert and talked about their new ideas for making fireworks.
"You should write them down; it will make things easier when you're making improvements," Albert interrupted mercilessly. "Also, the Charms paper is due tomorrow. Don't blame me if you get locked up by Professor Flitwick for not doing your homework."
"Wait, where's your Charms homework?" Fred saw that Albert seemed to be leaving, so he and George each grabbed one of Albert's shoulders.
"Go ask Lee Jordan for it yourselves. I'll come back later and bring you some midnight snacks." With that, Albert got up and left.
"That guy's off on another date," Fred muttered.
"What a guy who forgets his friends for the sake of a pretty girl," George complained.
When Albert arrived at the Room of Requirement, Isobel was already there, seemingly writing a paper. Albert didn't disturb her and found a place to sit down and study Nicolas Flamel's notes.
"What are you thinking about? You were distracted just now." A girl's voice suddenly rang in my ears.
"It's nothing, it's just that I feel Nicolas Flamel's notebooks are still a bit too difficult for me." Albert put down the notebook in his hand and sighed softly.
The notebooks Nicolas Flamel gave to Albert were all good, but unfortunately they weren't very useful. Many of them couldn't be converted into Panel Skill, and advanced use of Charms wasn't something that could be mastered casually.
After all, one needs to master the Charms first, and then learn its advanced applications; even using the panel requires a certain amount of experience.
The advanced application of each Charms is never easy to master, and Albert has never forgotten how long it took him to practice the advanced application of the Patronus Charm.
Nicolas Flamel's notes to him mostly deal with these things, like having a delicious steak in front of you, you can see it and touch it, but you can't eat it, which is really frustrating.
"You should be content. Nicolas Flamel spent hundreds of years achieving this; how could you possibly learn it all in a few months?" Isobel reached out and patted Albert's head, which was leaning on his shoulder, as if comforting a child. "You're already very capable, managing to understand the content in such a short time. Don't rush things; you have plenty of time to study it. Or do you hope to become as capable as Dumbledore when you grow up?"
"If that were the case, it wouldn't be bad," Albert muttered to himself. "Then I wouldn't need to work hard for the rest of my life; I could just lie down and wait to die."
"Don't you think that's too tiring?" Isobel said softly.
"Here, take a look too. The contents of this notebook are quite useful." Albert handed the notebook to Isobel. "I've seen these before with Nicholas."
Over the years, Nicolas Flamel was indeed very secretive and protective of his whereabouts, and the knowledge in this notebook was used to create Safe House.
He had been to Nicholas's house several times, but those residences were heavily guarded and very difficult to find, let alone break in.
Of course, Albert also had a solution: to use Fiendfyre to burn the house down completely. If the people inside didn't escape, they would naturally be burned to death, since Fiendfyre is something that can basically devour everything.
The safest part of Safe House is that it's hard to find or discover. Once it's found, even the safest place isn't safe anymore.
"We can use our new home later," Albert suddenly said. "The next period of time won't be peaceful."
"You mean the Lord Voldemort?" Isobel raised an eyebrow slightly.
"Hmm." Albert casually changed the subject. "By the way, what were you doing just now?"
"Write Lockhart's thesis." Isobel said, sounding a little irritated. "The topic is: how to help the village get rid of the wolves."
"Do you think there really is Charms that can turn Werewolf back into human form?" Albert suddenly looked up and asked, recalling Lockhart's description in "Wanderings with Werewolves".
"I don't know." Isobel shook her head; she didn't believe Lockhart's description was true. In fact, if such Charms existed, it would probably be famous by now.
However, Albert knew that Lockhart's book was plagiarism, but such a spell might have existed before. Why "before"? Because that unfortunate soul had been cursed by Lockhart with Memory Charm, forgetting all his memories. So now, the only one who could possibly know this spell was Lockhart, but the possibility was extremely slim. Albert never believed that Lockhart was capable of mastering this Charms.
"Never mind, I'll ask Lockhart when I have the chance!" Albert thought to himself.
"What's wrong?"
"Nothing."
"Tell me if you have something to say, you always look like you want to say something but don't."
"Hmm, it's nothing. Are you hungry? Would you like to go to the kitchen and get something to eat?" Albert suggested.
"Eating too much can easily lead to weight gain."
"I don't mind, and you're not always exercising."
"All right."
Putting away their notebooks, the two left the Room of Requirement together and headed to the kitchen. On their way, as they passed through Sixth Floor Secret Passage, the light from the wand startled the couple who were kissing.
It was Percy Weasley and his girlfriend Penelope Krivat.
An awkward atmosphere immediately filled the corridor.
"Remember to keep it a secret," Percy muttered to the two of them, then grabbed the girl and ran off.
"It seems we've disturbed them," Albert said, looking at the girl beside him with a hint of helplessness. "I didn't expect them to be on a date here."
"After all, not everyone can use the Room of Requirement like we can," Isobel said softly, turning back to watch the two figures disappear into the distance.
"But then again, every time I meet them, they're kissing."
"Have you encountered this many times?"
"When taking a shortcut, I sometimes bump into couples on dates in the passageway." Albert moved the portrait aside and stepped out. "Of course, I usually don't disturb their dates."
