Terrible Experience
Regardless of whether Harry Potter would be "saved" by the House-elf, the game continued, and raindrops began to fall after Lee Jordan loudly announced that Slytherin Team was in the lead.
"As expected, it rained."
Albert swiftly pulled his wand from his pocket, opened the umbrella, and held it over Isobel's head to keep the cold rain out.
There was a brief commotion in the stands, but most students chose to get wet and continue watching the Quidditch Match.
"I really don't understand why everyone is so enthusiastic about Quidditch Match," Albert murmured to himself.
"Don't you like it?" Isobel turned to look at her boyfriend's profile, then at the umbrella held above their heads. She pulled her wand from her cloak and transformed her handkerchief into an umbrella. Then, she used Engorgement Charm to enlarge the umbrella and attached it to the steps behind them, so Albert wouldn't have to keep holding it up to shield them from the rain.
"Beautiful Transfiguration," Albert praised. "By the way, I remember when I was in first grade, I spent a lot of time learning how to use Summoning Charm to conjure an umbrella. Looking back now, there were actually many alternatives."
For example, the Shrinking Charm and the Engorgement Charm.
As for Transfiguration, don't be fooled by Isobel's casual transformation of a handkerchief into an umbrella. This kind of Transfiguration is actually very difficult, especially since the size difference between a handkerchief and an umbrella is huge, which increases the difficulty many times over. Even among wizards who graduated from Hogwarts, very few can achieve this level of skill.
Of course, Albert could easily do it now, but he couldn't be as precise as Isobel; summoning the umbrella was obviously much easier for him.
Of course, if you don't know either of the first two, you can only carry a shrunken umbrella and restore it to its original size when you need it, which is a bit low-class.
Isobel looked at Albert with a strange gaze, as if asking him why he wanted to use Summoning Charm to summon the umbrella in the first place.
Anyone would probably be curious; this kind of thinking is just too bizarre.
"Probably because it's practical!" Albert put the wand back in his pocket. "After all, it rains a lot in Britain, and if you can summon an umbrella, you don't have to worry about getting wet in the rain. Actually, I quite hate getting wet in the rain."
As he spoke, Albert pointed to the group of spectators below who were getting soaked in the rain and said gently.
Isobel suddenly realized that Albert's words made a lot of sense. It was indeed true. Many students, because of the sudden rain and not having brought umbrellas or raincoats, could only watch the game while getting soaked.
Getting caught in the rain in winter is really not a pleasant experience.
"I've noticed that wizards are indeed much stronger than Muggle," Albert said softly, looking at the still enthusiastic audience below. "If it were an ordinary Muggle, being caught in the rain for half an hour in this awful weather would definitely land them in the hospital."
Although some students eventually need to go to the Medical Room for treatment by Madam Pomfrey, the vast majority of students are able to hold on.
The rain intensified. A few students in the stands opened their umbrellas, but most were soaked to the bone and shivering from the cold rain.
However, cheers could still be heard through the rain as Gryffindor finally scored.
"So, it's because there's just too little entertainment in the Wizarding World?" Albert murmured softly.
"Are there many fun things to do in Muggle?" Isobel asked curiously. Her understanding of the Muggle World was very limited, and Muggle Studies.
"There are many. Muggle are very good at enjoying life. They have invented a lot of interesting things. Sometime when you have time, I will take you on a tour of the Muggle World."
"Okay!" Isobel smiled sweetly. She knew that Albert wanted her to learn more about the Muggle World, not just the Wizarding World. Sometimes, it doesn't hurt to travel around and see more.
Just then, the game was paused, and the Gryffindor Team huddled together whispering, seemingly discussing how to deal with the erratic Bludger. However, they didn't seem to have come up with a good solution, because when the game resumed, Harry Potter was still the only one dealing with the Bludger alone.
The rain was getting heavier and heavier, and a chill began to spread across the court. Even the large umbrellas couldn't completely shield them from the torrential rain. The two sat close together, trying their best to keep each other dry.
Albert looked at the audience and was once again impressed by their dedication.
If this Quidditch Match continues into the night, will this group of people also get soaked until night? Just as Albert was maliciously thinking this, a gasp and a gloating whistle came from the field. Harry Potter was still hit in the arm by that crazy Bludger, rolled off the broom, and rolled around in the mud in a sorry state.
The whistle blew immediately, and Madam Hooch landed to check Harry Potter's injuries. After she saw the Golden Snitch, she blew the whistle again, declaring Gryffindor the winner.
The match was finally over, saving the spectators from spending several hours in the cold rain.
"It seems Gryffindor!" Isobel asked, looking at Harry surrounded by the crowd. "Did you guess this all along?"
"Yes, after all, he's the savior Harry Potter. Under normal circumstances, he wouldn't lose to the Slytherin Team." Albert said mysteriously, "Alright, you go back to the castle first. I need to go over there and check the situation."
"I almost forgot, you're still a reserve player for Gryffindor Team. See you later." Isobel shrunk his umbrella back to its original size and followed the crowd away.
Albert watched Isobel leave before walking onto the field, where he saw Fred and George desperately trying to push the wild Bludger back into the box.
"I bet it's been enchanted. We'd better have Madam Hooch come and check it out," Fred complained as he saw Albert approaching.
"Is Harry Potter alright? I think he was hit by Bludger," Albert said calmly, looking in the direction the crowd was gathering.
"It's all Wood's fault. He said it was either catch the Golden Snitch or die on the field," George complained angrily.
"Wood is the captain, it's normal for him to say things like that." Albert saw Lockhart walking towards them and tried to calm them down. "He's under more pressure than you two. No captain wants their team to lose."
As Albert spoke, Lockhart pushed through the crowd to stand in front of Potter, took his wand out of his pocket, and pointed it at Harry's arm.
"What does he want to do?" Lee Jordan walked over, looking disheveled as well; his morning dressing up had been a complete waste.
"Probably to treat Harry's arm," Albert said, shaking his head. "I think he'll only make things worse."
As it turned out, Lockhart was completely unable to heal Harry's arm, and the Gryffindor's heroes was eventually carried horizontally into the School Hospital.
"What has Lockhart done?" Fred noticed Harry's arm was bent at an odd angle.
"Lockhart probably... removed Harry Potter's broken bone." Albert turned his head to look in another direction and saw Marcus, the captain of Slytherin, yelling at Malfoy, saying something about how the Golden Snitch was right above his head and he couldn't even see it.
"I think Marcus probably regrets it now!" George sneered. "As a Seeker, having a rich dad isn't enough, but they clearly don't realize that."
Malfoy turned his head and looked over, glaring fiercely at the gloating group of four.
"Let's go back and have a banquet." Angelina called out to the group, "We need to figure out how to get some food and have a proper celebration."
"Leave this to us," Fred said, patting his chest. "We can go to the kitchen and get something to eat. By the way, do you have any Butterbeer?"
"I didn't buy any last time," Albert said after thinking for a moment. "However, I can provide you with some candy."
Fred and George went to the kitchen and got some cakes, candies, and a few bottles of Pumpkin Juice, then went with the other players to visit Harry at the School Hospital.
"Aren't you coming in with me?" Lee Jordan stopped and looked at Albert was planning to stay outside, with a puzzled expression.
"No need, they'll be out soon anyway."
Lee Jordan stared suspiciously at the entrance to the School Hospital, only to hear Madam Pomfrey's reprimanding voice coming from inside. Winning the game had made them a little carried away, and they'd forgotten whose territory the School Hospital was.
