Misunderstanding
The next morning, when Albert woke up, all three beds next to him were empty.
Albert was busy all night and didn't lie down to sleep until the middle of the night, so Albert woke up particularly late today.
However, all the efforts last night were worthwhile. The mastermind behind the attack Tom Riddle, and his Horcrux diary have been dealt with by Albert in a way that was simpler than expected.
In short, he launched a surprise attack on Tom Riddle, who was controlling Ginny Weasley, and stole Tom's Diary, hiding the Horcrux in the Room of Requirement, temporarily ending the recent series of attacks at Hogwarts.
Nothing is more cause for celebration than this, even if I sleep in, it doesn't matter, since I don't have to go to school on Sunday anyway.
The school was temporarily safe, which greatly relieved Albert. He no longer needed to be tense all day, worrying that he would be attacked by the Basilisk at any time.
After all, until Albert finds a way to deal with the Basilisk's eyes, this will always be a big problem for Albert.
Now that Tom Riddle's Diary is in hand, Albert can decide how to deal with that guy.
When Albert went downstairs for breakfast, Albert noticed that the hall was still very calm. Most of the Gryffindor students were still immersed in the joy of defeating Slytherin and no one noticed that Colin Crevy had been attacked and was now lying in the hospital room like a dead man.
Ginny, however, acted rather strangely when she woke up in the morning and discovered that Tom's diary was missing.
After all, no one wants their privacy to be known by others.
At noon, Albert went to the library to find Fred, George, and Lee Jordan. These three guys weren't doing their homework properly; they were acting all mysterious all afternoon, and nobody knew what they were up to.
"We're preparing a Christmas present for you; you're sure to have an unexpected surprise," Fred said mysteriously when Albert asked.
"Surprise? I think it's more like a shock."
Albert had absolutely no interest in or expectations of the three's Christmas gifts.
Don't you have homework?
Looking at these guys slacking off, Albert cruelly warned, "If you don't hand in that paper on Cross-species Transfiguration by tomorrow, Professor McGonagall will definitely put you in solitary confinement until you finish your assignment."
"I'm sure you wouldn't mind if we could learn from you!" The three looked at Albert with anticipation.
"I don't mind, but... I don't need to write that paper." Albert suddenly smiled maliciously.
"Why."
The three people were speaking loudly, attracting the attention of the surrounding students.
"Because I've already written it before," Albert said without hesitation. "Professor McGonagall thinks I don't need to spend any more time on this paper."
"And what about your thesis?"
"With Professor McGonagall." Albert smiled with amusement.
"Waaah, how could this happen?"
"You all should work hard!"
Before Mrs. Pince could look at him, Albert got up and left the library.
As I passed the Girls' Washroom on the second floor, I saw three figures sneaking out of the Girls' Washroom.
"You..."
Albert stopped and stared speechlessly at the trio he had caught red-handed. As if to confirm, he looked up at the sign above and whispered, "It's definitely the Girls' Washroom."
"We..." Hermione hesitated.
"Alright, stop talking here." Albert raised his hand to stop Hermione from arguing, and after leading the three of them out of the corridor, he reminded them, "You probably don't know, but a few years ago there was a Slytherin boy who came up with a lame excuse and tried to sneak into the Girls' Washroom to peep. He was caught red-handed by the girls, and now there are no girls in the school willing to talk to him."
Harry and Ron were speechless, their mouths agape like toads.
"Although I don't know what you're doing in there, if you don't want to be looked at differently, you'd better... stop going into the women's restroom," Albert kindly reminded you. "Otherwise, people will think you're doing something shady in there."
"That..."
Harry and Ron, realizing what had happened, were utterly embarrassed. Being caught by Albert coming out of the women's restroom was... so embarrassing that they wanted to dig a hole and bury themselves right there.
"Um... this place has been abandoned."
"You guys probably don't want to be seen as perverts by the girls, right?" Albert patted Harry on the shoulder and said, "This is just a friendly reminder."
Watching Albert's departing figure, Harry and Ron were completely bewildered. They wanted to tell Albert that he had really misunderstood, but he didn't give them the chance at all.
"He won't tell Percy about this, will he?" Ron looked at Harry anxiously. "If Fred and George find out, I'll be the laughingstock of the whole semester."
"Don't worry, he won't," Hermione reassured her. "Albert is a good man and won't spread what happened today. He's just 'for' our own good, worried that we'll be looked at differently because of it."
Harry fell silent; he had had a similar experience.
Last year, he, Neville, and Hermione lost 150 points due to Norbert's problems, which was the most difficult time for him since arriving at Hogwarts.
"I'll go explain it to him."
"This..."
"We borrowed the Moste Potente Potions' from Albert," Hermione interrupted. "Perhaps Albert can offer us some assistance."
"He borrowed that book?" Harry was a little surprised; he remembered Mrs. Pince saying that the book was lost.
"That's true to some extent." Hermione said, then quickly chased after Albert's departing figure.
"I think Hermione trusts Anderson a lot," Harry said to Ron in a low voice.
"You have to admit, he's much more reliable than that idiot Lockhart." Ron recalled what he had heard from Fred not long ago, and then connected it with what Professor McGonagall Professor Flitwick that morning about the attack last night.
Those amulets will be very popular! "You're right, I always felt that Anderson knew quite a lot." Harry recalled Albert's speculation about the Chamber of Secrets of Secrets, and thought that maybe the other man knew more about these things than they did.
On the other side, Hermione jogged to catch up with Albert and explained why the three of them had come out of the Girls' Washroom.
"This morning, Professor McGonagall told Professor Flitwick about the attack that happened last night," Hermione said in a low voice. "So, we've decided to start brewing the Polyjuice Potion first. I think that's the safest place. That Girls' Washroom has been abandoned for many years because of Myrtle, so I don't think anyone will go in there or find out that we're secretly brewing the Polyjuice Potion."
"Who was attacked?" Albert asked, feigning confusion.
"Colin Creevey," Hermione replied. "We think it's best to get Malfoy to confess as soon as possible; he's very likely taking his anger out on Colin because he lost the Quidditch Match."
"Has the first Muggle-born wizard victim appeared yet?" Albert looked up at Hermione and reminded her, "I remember you were also born into Muggle family, so you'd better not be left out."
"If you want to brew Polyjuice Potion, that's a good place, but you should be on the safe side. I've heard that Potter has an Invisibility Cloak. You can use it to fool other people so they don't think that Potter and Weasley have a penchant for peeping into the Girls' Washroom."
