Having found comfort with Isobel, Albert was no longer anxious about the dangers he might face in the Third Task.
Because he knew he could not possibly fail. Since he could not fail, the one who ought to be anxious was not Albert, but Fake Moody—or rather, Little Barty Crouch.
"Looks like you've been doing pretty well these past few days."
Fred, George, and Lee Jordan could all clearly sense the calm aura around Albert. This was the Albert they knew: confident and composed, as though everything was under control. The reassuring Albert had returned.
"How did the exams go?"
Albert sat in an empty seat beside the three of them, fixed himself some breakfast, and casually found a topic to talk about.
"The two blokes beside you have completely given up. I'd bet every one of their Final Exams will be a fail." Lee Jordan grumbled disdainfully. "They've even got the nerve to laugh at people for being nervous about exams. Professor McGonagall really ought to make them repeat the year."
"Hogwarts rarely has cases of students repeating a year." Fred and George exchanged glances, looking entirely unconcerned.
"At worst, we just won't get our Ultimate Wizarding Exam certificates. Anyway... we've already got our O.W.L. certificates."
The Weasley Twins quickly lost their swagger when Professor McGonagall shot them a displeased glare. The girls nearby covered their mouths and giggled at the sight.
"Anderson, once the Champions have finished breakfast, gather in the Meeting Room beside the Great Hall." Professor McGonagall came over to inform Albert that the Champions' relatives had been invited to watch the final.
"Did they come by Apparition?" Albert frowned. "I hope the wizarding way of travelling didn't make them uncomfortable."
"Don't worry, they're fine," Professor McGonagall reassured him.
"I'll head over once I'm done eating."
