Reaching a Consensus, a New Course of Action
The improved version of the Mysterious Heaven Skill was not perfect, nor did it directly resolve the conflict between the two sides. It merely bypassed the conflict in a rather clever way, a fact that both Han Li and Di Tian were well aware of.
More generally, this cultivation technique is suitable for two types of people: those who have nothing, since they don't need to hunt Soul Beast to continue cultivating steadily.
The other type is the genius, who pursues ultimate strength.
Those currently in the Soul Master system are temporarily excluded by Han Li.
The reason is simple: the Spirit Hall's people already make up the majority of the Soul Master, and they have the original version of the Mysterious Heaven Skill, which is enough to exploit their Faith Power.
Even if the Soul Master outside the Spirit Hall were given the latter two versions of the cultivation technique, they would most likely not have much affection for Han Li.
Although it's easy to see from a potential perspective that the vision described in the improved version is much stronger than the existing system, even knowing that the potential is even greater, hunting Soul Beast is still the shortcut.
If no restrictions are imposed, once more people grow up, the Soul Beast will find themselves in an even more disadvantageous situation.
But no matter what, something has changed, and at least there is a glimmer of hope. If we continue to improve it, even if Han Li cannot become a god, there is still a certain possibility of completely solving this problem.
Seeing that Di Tian had fallen silent, Han Li did not urge him. This was the limit of what he could do at the moment, and it was the result of his continuous modification of the Mysterious Heaven Skill with the help of his authority since he obtained it.
Should we invest even more effort?
It's unlikely.
This doesn't directly improve oneself; it's an improved version created to demonstrate sincerity, and we shouldn't put the cart before the horse.
Instead of continuing to struggle with this, it's better to speed up the process of becoming a god, and then directly adjust the rules to adapt to him.
"Can we get our hands on this cultivation technique beforehand?"
The cultivation technique was already in Di Tian's hands, and he had memorized it, but he still sought Han Li's consent, which was due to Di Tian's personality.
The conditions proposed by Han Li were quite tempting, and he agreed to them, but he was not sure whether his lord would agree, so he tried to secure some benefits in advance.
"Of course, no problem."
Han Li smiled and nodded; this was the bait he had offered.
Humans have entered a state of universal cultivation, so the Soul Beast should naturally be given some compensation. Besides, the cultivation speed of Soul Beast is really slow compared to that of humans.
Putting aside the fact that most Soul Beast have no intelligence, they need to communicate with the cultivators to practice their techniques. Han Li has only offered possibilities, which are unlikely to be effective in the short term and require time to accumulate.
If Di Tian can take on this task, that would be the best outcome.
Di Tian gave him a deep look and then put away the cultivation technique.
He knew that Han Li had more to say, but continuing would not benefit either of them, so it was not advisable to talk about it for the time being.
Han Li understood what he meant and smiled more sincerely.
He mentioned it more than once, and Di Tian and the others had no choice at all. He was essentially holding everyone hostage, especially the Soul Beast Race.
We have to help the Soul Beast Race, whether we want to or not.
Otherwise, even if Han Li had a falling out with the Divine Realm, as long as he shouted "The Silver Dragon King is here," they would prioritize putting aside Han Li's affairs and turn their attention to the Soul Beast Race.
"Take this. Once you've made your decision, you can use this to contact me."
Han Li remembered something, and several plaques engraved with his Martial Soul and the character "soul" appeared in his hand. He threw them at Di Tian.
"Whether or not to meet is up to you."
The conditions he offered were quite lenient.
"Good."
Di Tian took the item and, upon discovering it was just a simple Jade Token, put it away.
"You should reciprocate, aren't you going to give me a gift in return?"
Han Li glanced at the unmoved Di Tian; the Ferocious Beast of the Star Dou Great Forest weren't very polite.
"A gift? What do you want?"
Di Tian was taken aback; he couldn't quite follow Han Li's train of thought.
"Give me ten or eight of those Soul Bone Soul Beast that failed their tribulation, they're useless to you anyway."
"Don't be angry. Under the current rules, the transformation of Divine Armor is indeed inseparable from this thing. It won't do any harm for my people to improve their strength. You don't want to ruin everything because of this, do you?"
Despite Di Tian's unfriendly gaze, Han Li spoke without any psychological pressure.
"You just captured two Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast."
Di Tian took a deep breath and looked at Han Li.
"They have a grudge against me. That little rabbit that transformed into human form fell in love with someone from the Clear Sky Sect and then I killed it. And that Blue Silver Emperor from before was the same. It has nothing to do with what we're talking about. Even if they didn't come looking for you today, they would both be dead."
"Five First Level God are a significant shortage. Do you expect me to go and kill a few more Soul Beast?"
Han Li shook his head and looked at Di Tian with a helpless expression.
He was just telling the truth. Soul Bone are of no use to the Soul Beast Race; they are just for collection, and people simply don't want human Soul Master to get their hands on them.
"Good."
Although Di Tian was very reluctant, he still agreed. He had already withdrawn his cultivation technique, and he felt indebted to the other party. Moreover, he did not want to be at a disadvantage in future matters because of this, and he hoped that they could get along equally from now on.
"Then there's no problem. I hope we can have a pleasant collaboration in the future."
Han Li extended his right hand with a smile, seemingly unconcerned that they might disagree.
Di Tian hesitated for a moment, then extended his right hand and shook hands with him. It was just a polite response and did not mean that he agreed.
"You should leave now. I will contact you later."
Di Tian looked at the seven elders of the Spirit Hall not far away.
"Well, you'd better act quickly and come to a conclusion sooner so that the Silver Dragon King can recover faster."
"Since you have the ability to guide people through space, I won't wait for you here. I'll wait for your Soul Bone on the outer perimeter."
Han Li glanced at the several Ferocious Beast not far away, ignoring their hostile stares, and instead greeted them with a smile.
"Knew."
Di Tian raised his hand somewhat irritably and pointed out of the forest, the meaning quite clear: get lost.
"See you later then."
Han Li didn't care about his attitude. He waved to the several Ferocious Beast and turned to walk towards the Spirit Hall group.
With the initial establishment of diplomatic relations completed and the objective achieved, it is indeed time to leave.
"Xiao Li."
Han Li walked back into the crowd, shook his head, and led the few people who were still somewhat on guard towards the outer perimeter.
Meanwhile, several Ferocious Beast surrounded Di Tian's location.
"Boss, what did that kid say to you?"
"That's it? Boss, aren't we going to take them down?"
"Should we just let them leave like that? Should we chase after them and kill them?"
The reactions of the various Ferocious Beast differed, but they all found Di Tian's actions somewhat strange.
"Shut up, let's go back first."
Di Tian glared at the group with some impatience. After confirming that he wouldn't be observed, he tore open a Space Rift with his right hand and stepped inside first.
"Also, give me all the Soul Bone you've collected."
Di Tian seemed to remember something and added another sentence.
The several Ferocious Beast looked at each other, some puzzled, and followed. Had their leader changed his ways? And what did he need the Soul Bone? Meanwhile, the group from the Spirit Hall, after leaving the core area, all turned their attention to Han Li.
Han Li connected with everyone through Mental Sharing, speaking what he had already prepared, but it didn't quite relate to what they had been talking about before.
Di Tian's movements were not slow, but of course, he wasn't fast enough to actually catch up with Han Li and the others on the outskirts of the Star Dou Great Forest.
Instead, after Han Li and the others returned to the town hotel, he avoided the sight of most people and walked out of the Space Rift again.
Under the somewhat wary gazes of Qian Daoliu and Broad Hill, he tossed a few Soul Bone to Han Li, snorted coldly, and disappeared again.
"These days, it's really rare to have Ferocious Beast rushing to deliver Soul Bone to Soul Master's door."
Broad Hill hesitated for a long time before finally uttering a sentence, but he didn't ask Han Li any more questions. He had seen many strange things happen to his own disciple, so he was used to it. Besides, if he wasn't going to tell him, there must be some other reason, and he was too lazy to ask.
"These Soul Bone are all of very high quality."
Qian Daoliu stared at the pile of shimmering, colorful Soul Bone on the ground, feeling somewhat dazed.
He was prepared for a big battle before he came, but he only managed to take one hit and then just watched the whole thing. Now, looking at the Soul Bone in front of him, it all seems so unreal.
"Hmm, it's really good. This Torso Bone is perfect for Sister Xiu'er, Bing'er, Sister Yan... Di Tian still has some in stock, huh?"
After some careful selection, Han Li picked out several Soul Bone that were quite suitable for the group and nodded in satisfaction.
Aside from the absence of dragon-type Soul Beast, this collection even includes Soul Bone from several major Ferocious Beast races, demonstrating a great deal of sincerity.
Unfortunately, there were no External Soul Bone, not even broken ones.
"Master, if any of our uncles are still lacking something, they can ask you to get it."
Han Li smiled and pushed the remaining Soul Bone in front of Broad Hill.
"I regret now that I filled up all the Soul Bone slots so early."
Broad Hill looked at the remaining Soul Bone, which were at least 50,000 years old, and couldn't help but twitch his lips. The Soul Bone he had seen recently were so numerous that they could be sold in bulk.
Qian Daoliu also had an "out of sight, out of mind" expression, and closed his eyes. He was thinking of robbing him.
"Once the Spirit Hall and Xiao Xue have delivered the Soul Bone they promised me, I can also get a set for Tao Ge and the others."
Han Li, however, said it cheerfully, showing no sign of heartache.
Broad Hill glanced at her older brother, who had already walked to the window, smiled secretly, and gave Han Li a thumbs up.
My good apprentice is focused on a simple and frugal lifestyle, no problem, it's just that my elder brother might not be able to accept it.
"By the way, what are you planning to do next?"
Broad Hill put away the Soul Bone and asked with some anticipation, though he already knew the answer.
"You and your senior uncles should try the God Exam first, and see if you can obtain the inheritance. Xiu'er and the others will have the same arrangement. As for our Grand Uncle-Master, we have already made an appointment to go together."
Han Li dropped his joking expression and became more serious.
