Ch. 786Beginner Village

After choosing Insightful Eye, Luo Jun explored the Beginner Village and learned that its Village Chief could help him reach the outside world by restarting a Teleportation Array. When the village’s looping space prevented him from leaving, he gathered ten Energy Crystals, only to receive a new quest to find herbs for the ill scholar who could operate the array.

  • Luo Jun chose Insightful Eye as his Newbie Blessing and met a girl who directed him to the Village Chief.
  • The Village Chief gave Luo Jun three potions and explained that he needed ten Energy Crystals from Crystal Spiders to reactivate the Teleportation Array.
  • Luo Jun tried flying in several directions but discovered that the surrounding jungle, mountains, and sky formed a looping space that returned him to the Beginner Village.
  • Luo Jun asked the Village Chief where to find Crystal Spiders, searched the jungle, and gathered ten Energy Crystals by midnight.
  • Luo Jun dragged the sleeping Village Chief out of bed to turn in the crystals and learned that the scholar who operated the Teleportation Array was ill.
  • Luo Jun received a quest to find more than a dozen herbs for the scholar’s medicine and headed back into the forest.

Ch. 787Newbie Guide Must Be Read!

Luo Jun completed the village quests, learned how they connected, and repaired the Teleportation Array before leaving the mountain village. He arrived at Harbourn Port, where Griffin Knights stopped him and ordered him to register as a traveler from the Lost Land.

  • Luo Jun rescued the blacksmith’s daughter, recovered the apothecary’s backpack, and used the resulting maps and herbs to complete the village quests.
  • Luo Jun cut down enough Spirit-Disturbing Trees to restore the Teleportation Array, then received a cloak and the Village Good Sword before departing.
  • Luo Jun examined the sword’s damage rules and concluded that the Game world’s equipment limited his power more than fighting barehanded did.
  • Luo Jun teleported to a lighthouse overlooking Harbourn Port and flew toward the city.
  • A city tower fired a fireball at Luo Jun, and Griffin Knights confronted him for flying in restricted airspace.
  • The Captain recognized the abandoned Teleportation Array and told Luo Jun to register at the town center because he had no identity in the Oran Empire.

Ch. 788Ran into Someone Familiar

Luo Jun registered in Harbourn Port, reunited with Mu Lanshi, and discovered that leveling required an appraisal at the Training Ground. After reaching level twelve, he learned that reaching the Imperial Capital—and possibly finding others who entered the game—required level thirty.

  • Luo Jun registered at Harbourn Port’s town hall and learned that Lost Land residents returned through ancient Teleportation Arrays and needed new identities.
  • The knight captain told Luo Jun that the latest Lost Land arrival was a powerful mage called Miss Mu, who had joined the Rose Mercenary Group.
  • Luo Jun found Mu Lanshi at the Training Ground, where she explained that accumulated experience had to be converted through a Level Appraisal.
  • Mu Lanshi paid for Luo Jun’s appraisal and upgrades, which raised him to level twelve and cost one gold and fifty-five silver.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi ate at a tavern and discussed the Empire’s provincial capitals, Teleportation Arrays, and where other arrivals might be.
  • Mu Lanshi told Luo Jun that anyone traveling to the Imperial Capital had to reach at least level thirty.

Ch. 789Mercenary Guild

Luo Jun learned how the game world restricted abilities and joined a mercenary mission, where he revealed he had already defeated the target monster. Meanwhile, Mu Lanshi accompanied the Rose Mercenary Group on an A-rank mission, and a black shadow suddenly rushed toward them.

  • Mu Lanshi explained the world's game-like rules, level restrictions, and the limits placed on powerful abilities, while Luo Jun shared what he knew about Insightful Eye.
  • Luo Jun asked to join Mu Lanshi's all-female Rose Mercenary Group, but she said he would need to use the Guild's pickup-group system instead.
  • Luo Jun registered as a D-rank mercenary and joined a pickup group led by a disdainful red-haired C-rank warrior for a hunt against a Heavy Armor Black Tortoise.
  • Luo Jun returned with the bone hammer from a Mystic Armor Dragon Tortoise, astonishing the group, then offered to split the mission reward in exchange for a favor.
  • Mu Lanshi joined Margaret Golden Rose and the Rose Mercenary Group on an A-rank mission in Treasure Bay, where a black shadow suddenly sped toward them.

Ch. 790Treasure Bay

Mu Lanshi helped the Rose Mercenary Group defeat Pirate Ghosts and find their mission treasure, then discovered a hidden passage that might lead to more pirate riches. Meanwhile, Luo Jun leveled up and sought an A-rank mission, which the receptionist offered to arrange with the Wolf Fang Mercenary Group.

  • Mu Lanshi and the Rose Mercenary Group defeated a Pirate Ghost captain and recovered the longsword required by their A-rank commission.
  • Mu Lanshi detected a hidden passage behind the cave wall, and Golden Rose led the group inside to investigate further.
  • Luo Jun and his seven companions collected rewards for completing six C-rank missions, then raised their levels at the Training Ground.
  • Luo Jun reached Level 26, but the guild promoted him only to C-rank because he lacked enough mission experience.
  • The receptionist offered to arrange for Luo Jun to join the Wolf Fang Mercenary Group on an A-rank mission, and Luo Jun accepted.

Ch. 791Meeting a Fellow Townsman?!

Luo Jun joined Wolf’s mercenary group for a dangerous expedition to Treasure Bay, while Mu Lanshi’s party discovered the remains of the legendary ogre Bloodfang Trul and an energy-absorbing array. As the group prepared to leave, Mu Lanshi learned that several teammates also came from the Lost Land, and the array suddenly activated.

  • Luo Jun passed Wolf’s test, joined the expedition as a temporary member, and vanished before Fox could give him supplies.
  • Golden Rose led her team down a dangerous passage in Treasure Bay, where they found a sealed chamber containing Bloodfang Trul’s skeleton and a mysterious array.
  • Mu Lanshi inferred that the array absorbed and stored energy, so Golden Rose decided the team should report their discovery to the guild.
  • Mu Lanshi told the group she came from the Lost Land to find fellow townsmen, and the red-robed mage, the Purple-haired Rogue, and the Fierce Female Warrior revealed they came from there too.
  • The magic array beneath Bloodfang Trul’s skeleton suddenly lit up.

Ch. 792Pirate King

Mu Lanshi and the Rose Mercenary Group watched the magic array revive Bloodfang, who emerged at level ninety and slaughtered most of the mercenaries. After Bloodfang reached level ninety-one and attacked the last survivors, a figure suddenly appeared to take the laser beam head-on.

  • Black smoke from the defeated pirate squads charged the remaining gemstones and completed the magic array.
  • The array revived Bloodfang, whose power rose to level ninety, and the group fled through another passage.
  • Bloodfang caught and killed the Purple-haired Rogue, absorbed her data, and used his staff to drain and kill several mercenaries.
  • Golden Rose and the Fierce Female Warrior stood their ground while Mu Lanshi received a hidden mission to defeat Bloodfang.
  • Bloodfang’s fire attack killed most of the Rose Mercenary Group and left Mu Lanshi unconscious, while Golden Rose and the Fierce Female Warrior survived.
  • Bloodfang absorbed the fallen mercenaries’ data, reached level ninety-one, and fired another laser at the remaining survivors as an unknown figure appeared in front of them.

Ch. 793What Are You Babbling About?

Luo Jun arrived in time to kill Bloodfang and save Mu Lanshi, astonishing the mercenaries who witnessed it. After discovering that Golden Rose and Gloria both remembered similar village origins, he questioned whether their memories concealed where they had truly grown up, and their recollections began to trigger intense pain.

  • Golden Rose saw Luo Jun withstand Bloodfang’s laser attack and mistakenly concluded that he was an immensely powerful figure hiding his true level and stats.
  • Bloodfang began casting a lightning spell, but Luo Jun rushed through him and killed him before he could finish.
  • Luo Jun urged Golden Rose and Gloria to revive the unconscious Mu Lanshi, and Gloria used an Awakening Spray to bring her back.
  • Luo Jun gave Mu Lanshi Bloodfang’s level-eighty gold staff, and she learned that her mission to defeat the hidden boss had been completed.
  • Golden Rose and Gloria said they had both come from the Lost Land and described similar memories of a small village.
  • Luo Jun asked whether they had really grown up in that village, prompting Golden Rose and Gloria to suffer violent headaches as they searched their memories.

Ch. 794Were We Summoned Here?

After completing the pirate mission, Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi investigated why Golden Rose, Gloria, and many otherworlders had become mercenaries in the [Game] world. They suspected the world had been deliberately summoning players since the Sky-Piercing Tower appeared, and Luo Jun suggested its secret might offer a way to leave.

  • Golden Rose and Gloria recalled hometowns in other worlds, then returned to normal after their bodies flickered; Golden Rose made a grave marker for her fallen teammates.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi turned in their missions, gained substantial experience, and reached levels thirty-six and thirty-one before celebrating at a harbor restaurant.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi identified Golden Rose and Gloria as Polluters from [Empire] and [Wasteland], and discussed how rare it was for Otherworlders to reach another Otherworld.
  • Luo Jun proposed that the [Game] world had deliberately summoned Otherworlders for years, possibly because the Sky-Piercing Tower appeared, and that players were stronger than local NPCs.
  • Luo Jun suspected the newly opened Gate in the Main World was recruiting powerful Cultivators and suggested that uncovering the Sky-Piercing Tower's secret might let them leave.

Ch. 795Magic Cultivation

Luo Jun collected the Blood Fang reward with Mu Lanshi and used a top-tier Skill Book Blind Box to obtain the Grandmaster-level Meteor Fall From Sky spell. After learning its demanding prerequisites, he decided to pursue it and began training Earth Magic in Harbourn Port, where the local guild could only advance him to advanced level.

  • The Mercenary Guild rated Blood Fang an A-rank threat and awarded Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi one thousand gold coins, two pieces of Epic Equipment, and a top-tier Skill Book Blind Box.
  • Luo Jun used Dice of Heavenly Secrets to obtain the Grandmaster-level Fusion Magic spell Meteor Fall From Sky, which required Flame and Storm Magic at master level and Earth Magic at Grandmaster-level.
  • Mu Lanshi explained how foundational skills, Skill Points, and skill evaluations worked, and Luo Jun decided to learn Meteor Fall From Sky despite its steep requirements.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi went to an Earth Magic Guild in Harbourn Port, where Luo Jun paid the membership fee and spent Skill Points to raise Earth Magic to level ten.
  • The guild advanced Luo Jun's Earth Magic to advanced level but told him he needed certification from the main guild in the Imperial Capital to reach expert level or higher.

Ch. 796Thrombosis Assault Team

Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi reached the Imperial Capital, learned how the Sky-Piercing Tower assault worked, and discovered that the Thrombosis Assault Team had advanced to the Fiftieth Floor under the Ice Queen’s leadership. After improving their skills and stocking up, they headed for the tower to find their friends and seek work.

  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi paid to teleport to the Imperial Capital, where they saw the Sky-Piercing Tower and learned about its monsters, floors, and assault groups.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi earned B-rank mercenary evaluations and received Skill Potions before asking the Mercenary Guild about joining the tower assault.
  • The receptionist told Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi that the Thrombosis Assault Team was on the Fiftieth Floor and that its new captain, the Ice Queen, had reached S-rank.
  • Luo Jun used both Skill Potions to raise his magic skills, while Mu Lanshi helped him pay for training at the Three-Element Magic Guild.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi bought supplies and left the Imperial Capital for the Sky-Piercing Tower, arriving at its enormous surrounding fortress near nightfall.

Ch. 797Sky-Piercing Tower

Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi entered the Sky-Piercing Tower, where Half explained the danger of delayed floor conquests and the mutations of surviving floor lords. On the first floor, they met a young mercenary team and learned its members were locals of the Oran Empire whose ancestors had come from the Lost Land.

  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi accepted several guild missions and spoke with Half, who explained that surviving floor lords eventually mutated and that mutated lords offered exceptional rewards.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi entered the Sky-Piercing Tower and arrived in a town on its first floor, where a young mercenary team killed a group of attacking Goblins.
  • The team’s captain offered to guide Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi toward the upper floors, and the group walked through town together.
  • Luo Jun learned that the young mercenaries were born in the Oran Empire, though the mage said their ancestors had come from the Lost Land.

Ch. 798The Enemy Might Be Stronger Than Imagined

Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi learned that a mysterious Ascension-level expert might have come from the [Game] world and gained years of enhancements there. They rushed to the Forty-Ninth Floor to find the Thrombosis Assault Team, while the team appeared back at the Mercenary Guild headquarters.

  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi learned from a mercenary team that the cleared-floor tombstones could teleport them through the Sky-Piercing Tower, and they set aside their Crimson Silk Flower quest.
  • Luo Jun reasoned that the killer who ambushed Zhao Gongming might have entered the Main World while the [Game] Gate was unstable and could have spent years gaining power in [Game].
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi used the tombstone to teleport to the Forty-Ninth Floor, where Luo Jun spotted the lord's tombstone far across the swamp.
  • Mu Lanshi revealed that she had bought an Escape Scroll, and she and Luo Jun crossed the stone bridge toward the distant tombstone.
  • At the Mercenary Guild headquarters, the receptionist saw the Thrombosis Assault Team arrive and remarked that they had been in the Sky-Piercing Tower.

Ch. 799First Encounter with the Fiftieth Floor

Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi reached the newly opened Fiftieth Floor, where a mysterious call drew Luo Jun toward an ancient palace. As they investigated the desert, a giant scorpion ambushed them, while the Main World team prepared to search for the newcomers below.

  • Duan Feilan and Zong Zhiyong learned that two newcomers from the Main World were looking for their team, and they reported the news to the others.
  • The Ice Queen sent Shi Lei, Mu Ning, Duan Feilan, Sakura, and Thomas to search the Forty-ninth Floor while ordering them to return that night.
  • Luo Jun used his ability to get a guild mercenary to let him and Mu Lanshi pass through the tombstone to the Fiftieth Floor.
  • Luo Jun and Mu Lanshi surveyed the sand-filled floor and spotted an ancient city and palace, then Luo Jun heard a mysterious call from the palace.
  • Luo Jun pulled Mu Lanshi away as a bus-sized black scorpion erupted from the sand, revealing over fifteen thousand Health Points and no displayed level.

Ch. 800Mysterious Voice

Mu Lanshi and Luo Jun killed a powerful monster on the Fiftieth Floor, but a teleportation mishap left Luo Jun behind as she returned to the Forty-Ninth Floor. After Shi Lei and the others joined her, they climbed back to the Fiftieth Floor, while Luo Jun entered the ancient palace and lay on an altar at the command of a mysterious voice.

  • Mu Lanshi killed the Giant Scorpion by detonating an Explosive Light Sphere inside it, then returned to the Forty-Ninth Floor with Luo Jun.
  • Luo Jun was left behind when Mu Lanshi teleported away, and she met Shi Lei and the others beside the tombstone.
  • Shi Lei used his Mana Points to take the group to the Fiftieth Floor, where Mu Lanshi led them toward the ancient city to find Luo Jun.
  • Luo Jun killed a legendary Death Worm and entered the palace, where a mysterious voice ordered him to lie on an altar.
  • Luo Jun lay on the altar, and the two statues beside him raised their weapons to strike as Shi Lei and the others heard battle sounds nearby.

Ch. 801Boss Unlocked Early?

Mu Lanshi’s group entered the palace and was forced to face a level-ninety-two, four-armed Lion-headed Humanoid whose attributes were hidden and whose health was enormous. The group coordinated a powerful attack, but it barely reduced the monster’s health, leaving them in a desperate battle.

  • Shi Lei led the group through the desert using the Floating Technique, and they found a huge pit and no sign of Luo Jun at the ancient city.
  • The palace doors shut behind the group, and they discovered the corpses of elite Official Conquest Army members in a circular hall.
  • A force sealed the hall and pushed the group inside, where the Dog-Headed Humanoid statue pointed out a Lion-headed Humanoid that began to move.
  • Mu Ning used her Insightful Eye and saw that the monster was level ninety-two with a health bar more than ten times longer than Shi Lei’s.
  • Shi Lei drew the monster’s attention while Mu Ning, Thomas, Ying, and Mu Lanshi helped Duan Feilan land a charged spear strike that removed less than one-tenth of its health.

Ch. 802Familiar Mask

Shi Lei's group discovered that the Dog-Head Colossus had low mental resistance and Duan Feilan controlled it, but they remained trapped in the Fiftieth Floor boss room. Meanwhile, Luo Jun received the Midnight Mask and reunited with Midnight, who revealed that the game world was a predecessor of [Chaos] and that the Fiftieth Floor held the key to leaving.

  • Shi Lei's group tested different attacks against the Dog-Head Colossus until Mu Lanshi and Mu Ning realized its weakness was mental resistance.
  • Duan Feilan used the Dominion Headband to control the Dog-Head Colossus, but it could neither open the Great Door nor damage the inactive statues.
  • Luo Jun sensed changes after the statues finished working on him, then found and equipped the Midnight Mask from his inventory.
  • Midnight spoke to Luo Jun through the mask, and he told her how he had followed a mysterious Feather Transformation into the game world.
  • Midnight explained that the game world was a predecessor to [Chaos] and revealed that clearing the Fiftieth Floor was key to leaving.

Ch. 803They're Back, All of Them!

Ziye explained that conquering the Fiftieth Floor could let people leave the world, while the mysterious Feather Transformation cultivator might escape unless Luo Jun found and controlled him first. After Ziye's connection was cut off, Luo Jun entered the Fiftieth Floor's dungeon with Ailongtan and discovered that Shi Lei, Mu Ning, Duan Feilan, Thomas, Sakura, and Mu Lanshi were already challenging its lord.

  • Ziye told Luo Jun that conquering the Fiftieth Floor could open a way out, but killing the mysterious cultivator there would destroy the item he wanted.
  • Luo Jun decided to search for the cultivator and control him, while Ziye warned that pollution would soon endanger the other people in the world.
  • Ziye helped Luo Jun store four Mythic Treasure Items in his mask, but the lord's activation disrupted her connection and transported Luo Jun into a sealed corridor.
  • Luo Jun found that his displayed name had changed to Midnight and summoned Ailongtan, whose attributes appeared in a game interface.
  • Luo Jun and Ailongtan reached the lord room's door and learned they could join the ongoing challenge or open it to provide rescue.
  • Luo Jun inspected the challengers and recognized Shi Lei, Mu Ning, Duan Feilan, Thomas, Sakura, and Mu Lanshi inside.

Ch. 804Numerical Monster Appears

Shi Lei and his companions defeated one Imperial Guard, but the next Elephant Head Monster overwhelmed them with its immense Health Points and nearly killed Duan Feilan. The sealed door opened as the remaining statues revived, and while the group fled, Mu Ning froze at the entrance until an unknown figure intervened.

  • Duan Feilan used the Dominion Headband to make the Lion Head Monster attack itself, and the group looted its corpse after it died.
  • The Dog-Head Colossus activated a towering Elephant Head Monster whose two-row health bar revealed it had millions of Health Points.
  • Shi Lei failed to hold the Elephant Head Monster’s attention, and Mu Ning’s Banishment had no effect; the group rescued Mu Ning from its attack while Duan Feilan struck the monster from above.
  • The Elephant Head Monster caught Duan Feilan in its trunk and squeezed her until the great door opened and an unknown person ordered the group to run.
  • The Dog-Headed lord and the other ten statues began reviving, so Shi Lei carried the injured Duan Feilan toward the exit while Mu Ning froze and a half-Lizardman attacked her.
  • An unknown figure dropped from above and kicked the half-Lizardman in the face.

Ch. 805The True Numerical Monster Appears!

Night saved Mu Ning and the others from the monsters in the Fiftieth Floor’s palace, while Mu Ning sensed that his health bar was impossibly vast. After the group reunited with the disguised Aishiliya posing as Luo Jun and reported back to headquarters, they discovered the equipment taken from a dead monster had vanished.

  • Night defeated the Lizard Monster with one kick, giving Mu Ning and the others time to escape the palace and leave the lord’s tracking range.
  • Mu Ning revealed that Night’s health bar had filled her entire field of vision, leading Shi Lei to estimate that Night could have far more than ten million health points.
  • The group returned to the Forty-Ninth Floor and found Luo Jun, who claimed Night had saved him from a Giant Sandworm and traded him a Transformation Technique skill.
  • After the group departed, the supposed Luo Jun revealed that she was Aishiliya in disguise, while the real Luo Jun was still on the Fiftieth Floor as Night.
  • At headquarters, Shi Lei reported the powerful guards and their equipment drops, but Duan Feilan noticed that the equipment and materials taken from the dead Lion Head Monster had disappeared.
