Background

Di Jun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi established the Heavenly Court, proclaimed themselves Heavenly Emperors, and pursued dominion over the Primordial Era. Their ambitions intensified the Demon Clan's conflict with the Witch Clan, particularly after the ten Golden Crows caused widespread suffering and Houyi shot down nine of them. 35

The clan's strategy against the Witch Clan later centered on Kunpeng's discovery that resentful Human Race souls could damage Witch Clan bodies, which were otherwise exceptionally difficult for demons to break. This led Di Jun to regard the Human Race as both a resource and an obstacle to Demon Clan supremacy. 98
