The General Affairs Hall, standing in the center of Outpost County, has a history of nearly fifty years and has endured several foreign invasions and the baptism of war.
However, whether due to natural disasters or man-made calamities, the General Affairs Hall, though repeatedly ravaged, has stood firm to this day, just like the subjects within the county.
Generations of Clerks, in their offices within the General Affairs Hall, have witnessed the fifty-year changes of Outpost County.
It can be said that the General Affairs Hall is the sole official symbol and central hub of Outpost County.
Although its role is limited, it is, after all, the only official institution established here by the Kingdom of Locke.
However, today, this three-story building that has weathered countless storms, after a change of occupants to a unlucky fellow who enjoys napping, has finally met a tragic end, collapsing with a roar.
And the culprit behind all of this is a useless Lord.
It was this useless Lord who, unintentionally and passively, released his entire body's mental power and magic elements, causing countless magic elements in space to resonate.
And the number one accomplice of this useless Lord is a Magus even dumber than a moronic Noble. He believed the lies of a certain old fox and foolishly attempted to test someone else's mental power.
This then resulted in a very rare "Elemental Detonation," commonly known as mana self-destruction.
When a Mage's cultivation reaches a certain level, they can use their mental power to instantly ignite all their magic power, using themselves as the center and trigger to cause other elements in space to resonate.
Because most elemental types repel each other, this can also cause an elemental explosion.
The common folk also refer to Elemental Detonation as a mana bomb, similar in concept to a human bomb, but one is a conventional weapon and the other is a magical weapon.
Both are self-destruction, disregarding their own lives as long as they can kill the other party.
Elemental Detonation is a very rare occurrence. Historical records on the Saint Cassis Continent only mention a handful of cases, all involving Mages in extremely dangerous and desperate combat situations, as a last-ditch effort for mutual destruction.
The barren Outpost County has encountered this extremely rare situation twice in just a few days.
The first time was when Allen's mental power surged after consuming the Evil Dragon Egg. Old Laixi, out of curiosity, touched Allen, and the master bedroom of the Old Castle exploded.
Allen didn't do it intentionally, and neither did Old Laixi.
If Allen hadn't been tough and Old Laixi hadn't possessed the skill to instantly release a shield, they would likely have graves by now.
As for the second time, which happened today, it also occurred in Outpost County, but in a different location – the General Affairs Hall.
Both were historical buildings in Outpost County, both unique symbols of the county. Allen destroyed them both.
This time, Allen still didn't do it intentionally, nor did Xiulunte, but Old Laixi did.
Having suffered a loss last time, Old Laixi immediately sold Allen out to Xiulunte, under the guise of letting him test Allen's mental power, but actually harboring malicious intent and plotting against him.
Completely unaware, Xiulunte, like Old Laixi back then, touched Allen out of curiosity.
And then... there was no then.
The General Affairs Hall collapsed with a roar. The earth elements on the ground, the water elements in the small fountain, the wood elements in the stables, and so on.
It was like pouring a large basin of cold water into a pot of boiling oil, followed by a cup of highly concentrated sulfuric acid, and then igniting a barrel of gunpowder nearby...
At the center of the mana storm, Allen felt dizzy and slightly deafened due to the sudden explosion of mana within his body. His body only sustained minor external injuries.
A tiny wooden splinter stuck in his face, his clothes tattered and his face blackened, the Knight looked miserable only from the outside.
As for Xiulunte, who was half a meter away from him... he was dead!
Lying on the ground, Xiulunte's black robe was in tatters, his face was bloody and mangled, his arms and legs were twisted at unnatural angles, and his face was filled with terror and despair.
Xiulunte, who had just advanced to Magus, encountered Allen, whose mental power had also reached Magus standards.
The former, after being forced to read and meditate continuously, had accumulated mana over several days, which he then squandered in a flash sale today, instantly exhausting it.
The latter, after more than fifty years of diligent cultivation of mental power, and the elemental mana accumulated through recent meditation, imitated Allen's blood-spitting sale, also squandering it all.
However, Xiulunte actually vomited blood.
The commonality between the two was that the mana within their bodies completely dissipated.
The difference was that Allen's mana dissipated outwards in an explosion.
The unlucky Xiulunte's mana dissipated inwards, meaning it backfired.
That's why Allen was alive, and Xiulunte was dead.
"You old bastard Laixi, I'll f*** your mother!" Allen's roar echoed from the ruins.
Carefully pulling the wooden splinter from his face, Allen angrily searched for the old Butler's figure.
However, when he saw Xiulunte standing up from the debris, covered in dirt and looking bewildered, Allen's anger subsided. He felt that someone was even more unlucky than him.
Because he didn't know what mental journey Xiulunte would go through after understanding what happened, it was anyone's guess.
I was taking a nap, all my subordinates are almost dead, I was dreaming, my subordinate Mage self-destructed, I was about to wake up, my bed collapsed, I just got up, and the house fell down...
Xiulunte probably thought he was still dreaming, and foolishly patted his own face.
After a while, Xiulunte looked at Allen with unfocused eyes, then noticed the thoroughly dead Xiulunte, and then looked back at Allen, his eyes filled with confusion.
Allen shrugged innocently, indicating he knew nothing.
Xiulunte shook his head vigorously, and only then noticed the nearly a hundred Knights outside the collapsed main entrance, lying there completely naked.
"Who is it?" Xiulunte's fury filled his chest, and he roared like a wounded beast, "What happened? Who attacked this place?"
Allen pointed at Xiulunte's corpse and said innocently, "This idiot, for some reason, self-destructed!"
"Self-destruct?" Xiulunte was dumbfounded.
As a high-level Qi Warrior who had been fighting on the front lines for years, he had already keenly sensed the anomaly in space.
Unless a legendary Saint-level Mage cast a forbidden magic domain, no one could completely drain the elements from space, except for one situation.
That was what the equally miserable-looking guy opposite him called "Mage self-destruction."
Looking at the heralds and sentinels groaning on the ground, Xiulunte already believed it by half, because he knew Hales had advanced to Magus and was fully capable of pulling off such a heart-stopping stunt.
However, he couldn't understand why Hales would self-destruct when he was perfectly fine.
With red eyes, Xiulunte walked up to Allen and pointed at the nearly a hundred naked knights outside, asking, "What's going on with them?"
"I don't know. Those knights were like lunatics, they stripped naked and tried to assault Hales. Think about it, how old is Hales? He couldn't take it, and finally, unable to bear the humiliation, he just went boom, self-destructed." Allen spoke vividly, even making several particularly lewd gestures with his hands in between.
Xiulunte didn't believe his nonsense at all. He roughly pushed Allen aside, a blood-red Qi glow appearing all over his body, and shouted into the distance, "Sakre!"
Sakre's face darkened. Why are you calling me instead of the main culprit?
"Go and call the Second Young Master." Old Laixi continued with a somewhat grim expression, "This kid has such a powerful killing intent. Nana, hurry."
Dina ran over like a wild dog that had slipped its leash, shielding Allen and warily watching Xiulunte, who had activated his full Qi.
Clenching his fists, Xiulunte had no mood to pay attention to Dina and Allen, his blood-red eyes fixed solely on Sakre.
However, when Dina approached him, Xiulunte clearly felt his internal Qi becoming like a water tank with a large hole, unable to be maintained.
Sensing the anomaly in his internal Qi, Xiulunte's face changed drastically. He slammed his fists towards Dina and Allen.
"What the hell! Why are you attacking now when you were fine just a moment ago?" Allen dodged to the side.
Dina sneered and met his fist with her own.
