Background

Allen was formerly a machine gunner in an international mercenary group. He was killed by a shell during a mission, then awakened on the Saint Cassis Continent in the body of the Grand Duke of Locke’s youngest son. 1

Before Allen’s transmigration, the body’s owner was notorious as an untalented and disappointing noble. Although he possessed unusually high elemental affinity and photographic memory, he could not release magic; he also abandoned both magic and martial training after repeated beatings from his parents. 5 39

Sent to the remote Outpost County, Allen was publicly treated as a useless aristocrat. His early actions there gradually overturned that image, with observers recognizing his skill at deception, traps, and surviving dangerous confrontations. 6 23

Appearance

Allen is a handsome, East Asian-featured man with a heavily trained physique. As Bloody Hoof Chieftain, he adopts the harsher visual style of a barbarian leader rather than noble dress. 1 65 177

  • Usually broad-shouldered and muscular, with numerous visible scars from repeated combat. 177
  • Wears animal-skin clothing and plant-dye face paint when appearing as a barbarian chieftain. 177
  • Bears a blood-red dragon tattoo across his back. 177
  • Carries a God of War banner during major tribal ceremonies. 177
  • In battle, his activated Battle Ring can manifest four translucent elemental arms from his back. 413 442

Personality

Allen is irreverent, confrontational, and largely unmoved by insults concerning his former reputation. He frequently uses crude humor, intimidation, and deliberate provocation against enemies stronger than himself. 6 586

His confidence is rooted in survival experience rather than blind faith in titles or institutions. He distrusts the continent’s religious explanations for power, dislikes being called the Child of Chaos, and seeks practical explanations for magic, Battle Qi, and ancient powers. 38 280 506

Despite his ruthless methods, Allen is protective of those he accepts as his own. He prioritizes Dina’s rescue over his own injuries, repeatedly risks himself for the Bloody Hoof Tribe, and treats the tribe’s strength as inseparable from its people. 543 584

Abilities & Skills

Dragon Power

Allen possesses overwhelming physical strength without relying on Battle Qi or conventional elemental magic. Its origin is associated with the Evil Dragon Egg he consumed and its later interaction with ancient elemental power. 39 280

  • Easily defeated Sakre, Old Zak, and Big Babylon in physical contests after discovering the power. 39
  • Threw a knight’s greatsword more than 800 yards, beyond a Magus’s normal casting range. 39
  • Allows him to fight high-level Qi Warriors despite having no Battle Qi. 233
  • Combines with his Battle Ring and ancient power to sustain prolonged close combat. 233 442

Close-Quarters Combat

Allen considers himself a warrior first and favors fighting at close range, particularly against opponents capable of pressuring him. 65 259

  • Former mercenary experience gives him practical battlefield instincts and familiarity with chaotic brawls. 1 345
  • Practices the sixteen forms of the Enemy Capture Fist. 65
  • Uses improvised attacks such as groin kicks, elbow strikes, heart chops, and disarming techniques. 235
  • Can rapidly adapt after losing weapons, including continuing fights barehanded. 233
  • Defeated the six-winged knight Torrtai in close combat by exploiting the limits of Spirit-Piercing Magic defenses. 543

Barbarian Battle Ring

Allen’s unique Battle Ring does not fit established magical or physical-power classifications. It enhances his perception and movement rather than simply increasing raw strength. 88 106

  • Heightens his senses and reactions beyond his normal state. 106
  • Lets him maintain stealthy, sustained assassination attacks without quickly exhausting himself. 106
  • Reduces the fatigue formerly caused by prolonged combat after his ancient elemental power develops. 233
  • Later manifests four elemental arms capable of wielding additional weapons. 413 442

Ancient Elemental Power

Allen carries an ancient, chaotic elemental power that contains characteristics of all five major magical branches but does not follow their standard casting methods. 177 280

  • Was acquired during the Bloody Hoof chieftain succession ceremony amid a vision of gods and the Savage Ancient Plains’ history. 177
  • Can be replenished unusually quickly alongside his Mental Power, including through brief sleep. 233
  • Initially resisted Allen’s attempts to cast conventional spells; Hathaway advised meditation and experimentation rather than incantations. 280 468
  • Supports the manifestation of his elemental arms and Saint Tier magical power. 413 591

Mental Power and Magic Nullification

Allen possesses exceptionally high Mental Power, which supports his resistance, deception, and use of magic-nullifying equipment. 444 529

  • Pretended to be under Amon Sol’s mind control in order to gather information before attacking. 444
  • Uses the Magic Nullification Staff to create a magic-nullifying space proportional to his Mental Power. 529 543
  • Neutralized Torrtai’s Spirit-Piercing Magic body defenses long enough for the Triangular Bayonet to penetrate them. 543

Tactical Leadership

Allen leads through opportunism, intimidation, and an emphasis on weapons development rather than traditional military doctrine. 178 485 583

  • Consolidated tribal support by making Bloody Hoof Camp a place of worship, training, and beast allocation. 178
  • Used himself as bait to trap Quake and the Grand Knight Battle Group. 583
  • Employs Steel Golems, Arcane Repeating Guns, Magic Cannons, Dwarven workshops, and alchemical laboratories to equip his forces. 583
  • Ordered the Spirit-Piercing Magic Cannon fired against Shabak’s gate, demonstrating its destructive capability. 485 486

  • Magic Nullification Staff — Generates a magic-nullifying zone based on Allen’s Mental Power. 529 543
  • Triangular Bayonet — A Dwarven-made weapon designed to create deep, difficult-to-treat wounds; Allen attaches it to the Magic Nullification Staff. 543
  • Coiled Serpent Staff — A weapon gifted by Hermes that fires a death-ray-like force, converting a target’s life energy into Nether Power. 475 572
  • Spirit-Piercing Staves — Modified by Allen into a rapid-fire weapon system capable of releasing hundreds of intermediate and advanced spells. 541
  • Magic Cannon — A battlefield weapon operated by Bloody Hoof forces; its explosive shot destroyed Shabak’s southern wall and gate. 485 486

  • Dina — His loyal maid and longtime companion. Allen makes rescuing her from the Ice Palace an immediate priority; Dina ultimately breaks free of Helen-Lena’s control herself. 1 543
  • Claire — Allen’s father, the Grand Duke of Locke. Their relationship is blunt and informal, with Allen commonly calling him his “cheap old man.” 1 411
  • Hathaway — His fiancée and a powerful mage. Their relationship develops from mutual misunderstanding into cooperation, with Allen supporting her advancement to Archmage. 245 280 537
  • Consylate — A veteran Blood-and-Necromancy mage who joins the Bloody Hoof Tribe and becomes one of Allen’s foremost magical allies. 173 175
  • Old Laixi — Allen’s former butler and prospective magic teacher; he helps Allen investigate his totem and ancient powers. 38 39
