Poor Man's Superman
Mister Blue hid in the distance, his enormous head bearing the immense power of the Hulk Serum as he greedily watched everything from afar.
Abomination had kicked him away, and a drop of Hulk Serum had landed on his head, causing his brain to undergo a dramatic transformation. But the higher his intelligence became, the less willing he was to leave.
Mister Blue could not bear to leave these strange creatures behind.
With his intelligence, he had processed all the information from the moment he first saw Duva and the Xenomorphs through hundreds of millions of calculations—there was no need to doubt it. He possessed memory and computational abilities at that level, far surpassing conventional strong AI.
Mister Blue had noticed the ultimate aesthetic beauty of the Xenomorph as a weapon. Every curve of its body had been born for better combat.
He had also realized that there were different types of Xenomorphs and had vaguely worked out some possibilities, making him even less willing to leave.
Then, relying on his vastly enhanced eyesight, he saw Abomination's Chestburster emerge. His entire body began to tremble.
It was not just fear. It was excitement.
"There are monsters like this in the world? I understand now—why that man attacked while holding that egg, and why the spider that crawled out of it died for no apparent reason after latching onto Blonsky's face..."
"Everything was for parasitism. Everything was to obtain Blonsky's power!!"
If that had been all, Mister Blue would have been surprised, but not enough to risk his life by remaining here. That changed when he personally witnessed the newborn Xenomorph's tongue-like Inner Jaw effortlessly pierce through Abomination's skull, which could withstand missiles.
Combining it with all his previous deductions, Mister Blue confirmed a hypothesis.
"These things can parasitize different hosts and obtain the host's power. No, their genes? But an organism's genetic fragments are incomparably complex. How do these creatures rapidly select useful genes? And what standard do they use to determine what is useful and what is not?"
Did they merely extract genes beneficial for combat? Or was it even more outrageous than that... did they seize every outstanding gene at once, discard all inferior genes, and burst from the host's chest with potential far greater than the host's?
Mister Blue did not dare be certain. That speculation was too insane. If it were true, then without question, these unknown creatures were perfect creations.
He could hardly imagine how that mysterious man had acquired these creatures, or how he could control them. A psychic link like Professor X's? Or do these creatures, like birds, imprint on the first person they see and regard that person as their mother? Mister Blue's heart pounded wildly.
As a researcher, he naturally had ambitions of his own, but at least one thing was an absolute instinct—the pursuit of ultimate beauty in his field of expertise.
In Mister Blue's eyes, Abomination, Hulk, all of them were rejected products of the Creator compared to the Xenomorphs. They were utterly unworthy of mention.
The stronger, more exceptional, and more infinitely promising a lifeform was, the more the Xenomorph born from its chest would surpass it in a stronger, more perfect form after parasitizing it. How could they compare? A person's potential was something most people could never fully realize, because time and energy were limited. It was impossible to learn and master every ability one should have been capable of learning.
But Xenomorphs were different. Born after seizing all of a host's superior genes, their potential was maxed out. After developing for a period of time and evolving into mature forms, they could surpass their hosts.
It was too terrifying, too suffocating, too... beautiful! "Mine, it's mine!! These perfect creatures should belong to me—Samuel Sterns, humanity's greatest biologist!" Mister Blue's huge head finally stopped expanding. His intelligence had increased by roughly five hundred times in an extremely short period.
But intelligence was intelligence. When he truly faced these unprecedented monsters, hysterical greed and desire nearly drove him mad.
"And that black-haired man—he could withstand attacks from the dying Blonsky. There's something abnormal about his body too! Could he have some kind of connection with these lifeforms? Could that be why he can control these beautiful creatures?"
Even with Mister Blue's exceptional intelligence, the lack of information and the unknown field caused his brain to stall. This logical dead end nearly suffocated him.
Mister Blue suddenly saw Duva turn his head and look in his direction.
Their eyes met.
He found me! The thought surfaced in Mister Blue's mind.
"Looks like that big-headed baby made it through. I just wonder who's smarter, him or the other Samuel Sterns."
Duva glanced at him. While mentally communicating with the Abomination Xenomorph, he also observed Mister Blue's changes.
The comic version of Mister Blue, Samuel Sterns, was known as one of Earth's eight smartest people. He had only gained his tremendous intellect after accidentally being exposed to Gamma Ray radiation.
But the Mister Blue before Duva had increased his intelligence because Hulk Serum had dripped onto his brain.
Duva could now be certain of one thing: the universe he was in was not purely the movie version.
Given the complexity of Marvel's infinite multiverse, blindly defining the entire universe before thoroughly exploring this one could easily get him killed at a critical moment.
Maintaining caution toward everything was the safest mindset.
Besides, even if this really were the movie version, it would not be safe. Those Multiverse-level gods beyond the universe stood high above, stirring up trouble across the entire multiverse—some loaned out power, some planted traps. Who knew what sort of thing tainted with multiversal power might leap out from some forgotten corner?
Not to mention the Ultra-Universe conceptual entities beyond the multiverse, which were even more dangerous.
By the time things evolved into the seventh multiverse, all kinds of true big shots had taken turns making their moves, elevating Marvel's entire power scale into an omnipotent concept.
After casually sending out a Courier Xenomorph to watch Mister Blue in secret, Duva raised his head and looked into the distance.
The commotion here had already spread. He had expected someone to arrive soon.
But he had not expected it to be neither Blade, Iron Man, S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, nor any other heroes or criminals. Instead, the one who came was a... well, Superman? He wore a blue-and-gold bodysuit and floated in the air without relying on any physical medium. His expression was cold and stern, and golden light flickered in his eyes, gathering immense energy as though ready to fire at any moment.
It could be said that aside from lacking a cape and underwear on the outside, this guy really did resemble the Superman next door in every way.
With just one look, Duva remained outwardly calm, but inwardly felt immensely strange. He had not expected this guy to be the first to arrive.
One of the eleven Eternals who had been stationed on Earth for thousands of years, burdened with the mission of nurturing the Celestials and indirectly destroying Earth and exterminating humanity... Ikaris!
