After earning a Class D Great Merit, he returned to personal cultivation as news of unrest in Da Li Province and Xiao Qiushui’s upcoming banquet reached him.

• Xiao Qiushui came to Qingyuan Temple for Xiao Qiuyue’s remains, then attacked Jiang Ning, but Wang Shouyi and Zhao Yulong forced her to retreat after Qingyi was badly wounded protecting him.
• Jiang Ning visited the True Dragon Hall, refused its Dragon Transformation Pool baptism, and accepted a drop of Dragon Blood, which later helped him break through his Indestructible Vajra Body.

Along the way he reached the threshold of Heaven and Man as One, while the mysterious Ice Coffin kept reappearing and Xiao Wuque sent him two Grandmaster methods.

• Wang Qingtan lent Jiang Ning money and gave him jewelry in exchange for two favors, and Jiang Ning used the funds to buy Ancient Immortal Treasures and strengthen his cultivation.
• Jiang Ning broke through the Five Animal Frolics Fist’s sixth limit, gained his own Fist Intent, and supplied Taiyin Jade Liquid mixed with his blood to Xie Xiaojiu, Zhou Xing, and Feng Jiuge.
