Jiang Ning accepted Wang Qingtan’s marriage proposal, won the provincial Martial Examination, and returned to Dongling City as a Grandmaster. There he assessed the growing threat from the Heaven Response Alliance, confronted a mysterious Grandmaster, and began preparing for the Water Moon Sword Palace’s appeal for help.

• Wang Qingtan delivered her father’s proposal that she marry Jiang Ning, and Jiang Ning asked her to wait three years before they decided, though they later agreed to marry.
• Jiang Ning absorbed the Glass Treasure Flame with Wang Qingtan’s help, gained a Glass Treasure Body, and endured her recurring nightmares as Bai He Song and Lu Zhao backed away from their plans involving her.
• Jiang Ning awakened the Ice Coffin Woman with his Heavenly Eye, learned she was a disciple of the Spirit Treasure Heavenly Lord, and received the Ice Coffin and a secret art before she departed.
• Jiang Ning advanced his martial training, completed his Third Blood Exchange, and won first place in the provincial Martial Examination before he and Wang Qingtan spent the night together and set out for Dongling City.
• Back in Dongling City, Jiang Ning reunited with Wang Shouyi and Xiao Doubao, helped his sister Jiang Li, and learned from Zhao Yulong that powerful sects were using the Heaven Response Alliance to crush their opponents.
• Jiang Ning decided to delay action against the sects until he and his subordinates grew stronger, broke through Five Animal Frolics Fist and Water Fire True Force, and drove off a mysterious Grandmaster who had wounded Zhao Yulong.
• After Zhao Yulong warned that the unknown Grandmaster could threaten a Grandmaster Banquet, Jiang Ning canceled it and told Xiao Emei he needed greater sincerity before helping the Water Moon Sword Palace.
• Jiang Ning continued advancing his Water Fire True Force while Wang Qingtan joined him, Wang Qinghan brought Xiao Doubao to visit, and Linglong and Old Turtle gained strength from his blood.

Jiang Ning aided Shishan County through famine and rain, then used an attack on an execution to justify confronting the Five Swords Sect and seizing its wealth. After defeating the sect, he brought Wang Qingtan to the Divine Maiden’s vision, where she was refused the inheritance because of her familiar aura.

• Linglong awakened her bloodline, summoned rain over Dongling County at Jiang Ning’s order, and declared herself the Nu River Dragon God.
• Jiang Ning advanced his cultivation, aided the Water Moon Sword Palace, and sent his allies and troops to Shishan County to confront the Five Swords Sect.
• In famine-stricken Shishan County, Jiang Ning uncovered hidden grain, destroyed the Xu and Mu Families, and helped Bai Luoyu organize relief.
• The Five Swords Sect attacked during the executions, and Jiang Ning let its members escape so he could use the assault as grounds to pursue the sect.
• Jiang Ning took the Water Moon Sword Palace’s treasures and received a mysterious water bead from the Divine Maiden’s vision as his Yin Spirit began transforming.
• Jiang Ning and Feng Xiaochen’s forces stormed the Five Swords Sect, where Jiang Ning defeated its Supreme Elder, captured Yang True Disciple, and killed Old Ghost of the Yellow River.
• Jiang Ning divided the sect’s seized wealth among his soldiers, the fallen soldiers’ families, the national treasury, and the Water Moon Sword Palace.
• Wang Qingtan told Jiang Ning that her memories were worsening, and the Moon Palace Divine Maiden refused her inheritance because she carried a familiar aura.

Jiang Ning killed the four Grandmasters who ambushed him, seized control of Divine Sword Villa, and grew stronger through new techniques and treasures. He reached Yang Lake as factions gathered around the opening Grotto-heaven Secret Realm, where his latest breakthrough gave him a new understanding of space.

• Jiang Ning completed his Fifth Blood Exchange, advanced Swimming and Wind Thunder Step, and killed Shangguan Guyun, Spirit Snake Gentleman, Xiao Hongyuan, and Water Blue Immortal Aunt when they ambushed him.
• Jiang Ning returned to Dongling City, joined Zhao Yulong in an assault on Divine Sword Villa, and mortally wounded Sun Ming after defeating Shangguan Feilong and his Divine Sword.
• Jiang Ning subdued Sword Nine, gave it to Xie Xiaojiu to help her master Sword Intent, and advanced his blade arts while collecting Divine Sword Villa’s Solar Term fragments.
• Jiang Ning made Shangguan Feilong and Shangguan Jincheng swear allegiance with his Essence Blood, then left the villa for Yang Lake after developing his Divine Sense.
• Jiang Ning visited Luo River Lake, saw the Human Emperor Sword inside the Great Demon White Dragon, and traveled on to Yang Lake, where Zhong Yue explained the gathering factions and the Grotto-heaven Secret Realm.
• The Vermilion Bird Envoy and other Heaven Response Alliance envoys planned to kill Jiang Ning inside the Grotto-heaven, while Jiang Ning met Long Xingyun and Jin Chan among the gathered martial artists.
• Jiang Ning reached Wind Thunder Step’s limit and broke through amid the spatial ripples, gaining the Space Rhythm Trait and realizing that his movement art had reached Connecting Heavenly Human.

Jiang Ning entered the Shangyang Grotto-heaven, overcame its trials and rivals, and became its sole victor and True Disciple. After returning, he refined his gains, completed Bone Forging, and advanced to the Sixth Blood Exchange, while resolving to reclaim what Qingyun Sect had taken.

• Jiang Ning entered the Cave Heaven World and passed the first trial round by defeating or outlasting his opponents, then broke through to a Pure Yang Body and Golden Elixir.
• Jiang Ning crossed the Mysterious Yin Sea, found Heavenly Stars Yang Stones, and forged Divine Bones while defeating Wang Yuan and resisting the Qingyang Sect disciples.
• Jiang Ning destroyed the Fire-Bathing Divine Tree and let the Nether Wind kill the three Spirit Envoys, then absorbed the Tree Heart and broke through to Unity of essence, qi, and spirit.
• Jiang Ning disrupted Xie Yang’s Four Spirit Array as Long Xiaofeng fought the other trial-takers, and the two sent everyone else out before Jiang Ning was declared the sole survivor and received a Direct Disciple’s Identity Token.
• Jiang Ning continued tempering his bones in Shangyang Grotto-heaven, then returned to the Tower Ship and surrendered the Flying Swords to Elder Han Qiu.
• Jiang Ning refined the Divine Wind Fan, made little progress on the Ice Coffin, and focused on completing Bone Forging.
• Jiang Ning formed Divine Bone, completed the Sixth Blood Exchange, and discovered Divine Radiance particles in his blood after growing a new set of teeth.
