Listening to the High Priestess's words, Star-Lord Quill couldn't help but joke, "I still prefer to create people the traditional way."

Upon hearing this, the High Priestess Ayesha, whose body was entirely golden, exclaimed in surprise, "Perhaps one day, you will give me a history lesson, using the old traditions of your ancestors."

As soon as he finished speaking, a maid not far away couldn't help but reveal a mocking smile on her face.

Seemingly realizing that her words were a bit off, High Priestess Ayesha quickly added, "It's just for academic research."

Star-Lord smiled broadly upon hearing this. "I'd be honored. Well, in the name of academic research, I think that would be very..."

As he was speaking, Gamora, Thanos's daughter, glanced back at him.

Star-Lord also noticed Gamora and said, "... Repulsive."

He smiled and said to High Priestess Ayesha, "I think that's a bit too revealing. I'm not that kind of person."

Before she could finish speaking, Gamora, who was standing next to her, became impatient and stared directly at High Priestess Ayesha. "Stop arguing. You promised that this mission would be in exchange for a reward. Come on, let's take the reward and then happily set off."

As soon as he finished speaking, a small door not far from the Golden Hall opened, and two guards escorted a person in.

As the veil was lifted, Star-Lord and the others saw who it was: blue-skinned and covered in mechanical devices—it was Nebula Gamora's sister.

Seeing this, Star-Lord joked, "The family is reunited."

At this moment, High Priestess Ayesha, seated above in the hall, said, "I know Nebula is your sister, but to me, she is merely a bounty on Xandar."

She explained, "She tried to steal our batteries, but was caught by our soldiers."

"You can handle her as you see fit."

With that, Gamora grabbed Nebula and headed out of the hall.

"We are very grateful to you, High Priestess Ayesha." After expressing his gratitude, Star-Lord turned to leave with Rocket Raccoon and Drax.

Before he could even turn around, High Priestess Ayesha called out to him, "What bloodline are you, Mr. Quill?"

Star-Lord thought for a moment, "My mother is from Earth."

"And what about your father?" High Priestess Ayesha asked.

Star-Lord joked, "Anyway, they're not Native Americans. That's all I know."

Ayesha said slowly, "I see in you an extraordinary bloodline; this mixed blood combination is simply outrageous."

"This is utter nonsense!"

Clearly, High Priestess Ayesha had discerned something about him.

Star-Lord was somewhat puzzled.

Silence fell over the scene.

At this point, Rocket Raccoon also made a joke, "You know what? Not long ago he said you guys are all self-righteous villains..."

As soon as he finished speaking, gasps of surprise rang out, and the atmosphere changed instantly. The soldiers next to him immediately raised their Energy Gun.

Star-Lord first looked at Rocket Raccoon in astonishment, then subconsciously looked at High Priestess Ayesha, only to see her eyes staring straight at him.

The Sovereign People began to whisper amongst themselves, looking at them with grim expressions.

Sensing the tense atmosphere, Star-Lord quickly turned around and followed Gamora.

"Damn it, did I say something wrong again?" Rocket Raccoon said. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to..."

Before Rocket Raccoon could say anything, Drax grabbed him by the back of the collar and dragged him out of the hall.

"You should be glad you weren't killed by them..." Drax said.

"You don't need to tell me." Rocket Raccoon realized this as well.

Then, he smugly opened the backpack at his waist, revealing rows of energy batteries emitting a yellow glow, and said, "Would you like to buy some batteries?"

Drax recognized it as a Sovereign People Steel Titanium Battery.

He couldn't help but burst out laughing.

"Shh!" Rocket Raccoon quickly gestured with his fingers.

Soon, the group boarded the Milano spaceship.

"Alright, let's send this little bald guy to Xandar to collect his reward," Rocket Raccoon said.

With that, he started the Milano.

The spaceship spewed flames as it flew toward the atmosphere.

Gamora pinned Nebula down and locked her to the spaceship's railing.

"I'm hungry, give me some Yaro Fruit to eat."

Nebula's gaze fell on the radish-shaped fruit in the basket not far away.

Gamora frowned. "No, it's not ripe yet, and I hate you."

"Hate me?" Nebula gritted her teeth. "If that person hadn't killed Ronan, do you think you'd be as relaxed as you are now?"

The thought of that terrifying person filled Nebula with dread.

Ronan had taken her to retrieve the stone, but she was inexplicably killed by a terrifying person, who also took the stone away.

If she hadn't run fast, she might have stayed there and been arrested by the people of Xandar.

"I'll be free from these shackles soon, and then I'll kill you, I swear!" Nebula said viciously, glancing at the shackles on her hands.

Gamora around. "No, you'll spend the rest of your life in Xandar prison. Kill me? Dream on!"

Nebula glared at her fiercely upon hearing this.

Just as Gamora was about to say something more, an alarm suddenly sounded inside the Milano spaceship.

Gamora quickly checked the situation.

Just then, a series of spaceships came chasing after the Milano, which was traveling in outer space from Sovereign.

Cockpit.

Star-Lord looked puzzled and said, "That's strange, a fleet of Sovereign ships is catching up from behind."

Gamora glanced at the densely packed spaceships and frowned as she entered the cockpit, asking, "What do they want to do?"

At this moment, Drax thought for a moment and suddenly said, "Maybe it's because the Rocket stole a few of their batteries?"

"Dude!" Rocket Raccoon turned around in disbelief.

Drax, feeling scrutinized, could only say, "Okay, you didn't steal anything. Who knows why they were chasing us? It's really strange."

At that moment, with a whoosh, a golden laser beam flew past the Milano, clearly indicating that the Sovereign ships had launched an attack.

Star-Lord was startled and immediately began to evade him by piloting the Milano.

While dodging, Star-Lord couldn't help but ask, "Rocket, what on earth are you thinking?!"

"Dude, "Rocket said helplessly, "Those batteries are really easy to steal."

"Is that your reason?" Gamora.

"Come on, did you see how high and mighty that priestess looked? I'm teaching her a lesson!" Rocket Raccoon said.

"I never imagined your motives were so considerate of others," Star-Lord scoffed. "No wonder Ayesha didn't understand your good intentions."

Rocket Raccoon got into an argument with him.

"Can't you guys wait until this space war is over before you start arguing!" Gamora couldn't take it anymore.

"The army is coming!" Star-Lord shouted.

"I want to go on a killing spree!" Rocket Raccoon declared with high spirits.

The two piloted the Milano, continuously firing laser beams and destroying one spaceship after another.

At this moment, Gamora, unable to tolerate Rocket Raccoon's arrogant attitude, retorted, "You didn't kill anyone! These military aircraft are all remotely controlled!"

"This can't go on. We need to find a way to shake them off, or go somewhere we can stop them."

At this point, Star-Lord couldn't help but suggest, "Shall we go to Earth?"

As he spoke, he piloted the Milano and prepared to begin a space jump.

"Earth?"

Gamora and the others were somewhat surprised.

Isn't this Star-Lord's home planet, and the place where that White-Clothed Hero is?
