Antarkh's Tomb World was the center of power for the entire Necron race and the seat of the last Triarch.

Ever since Silent King Szarekh publicly announced the end of his self-imposed exile and his return, his Triarch Praetorians and other followers had immediately returned here to reestablish their rule.

Hapsatra of Radiance and Mephistos, Hand of Shadows, had been chosen to speak in the Silent King's stead.

After all, the meaning behind the title "Silent King" was that the lord of the Necrontyr never spoke, leaving the two Phaerons at his side to convey all imperial decrees.

Under normal circumstances, the Triarch should have been composed of the three most powerful dynasty Phaerons.

But Szarekh had broken with that tradition and chosen the supreme rulers of two minor dynasties as his assistants.

Of course, after the Necrontyr collectively transformed into Necrons, there was no longer much point in discussing tradition.

During their sixty-million-year slumber, many Necrons had suffered varying degrees of memory disorder, while others had simply become mindless madmen and monsters under the influence of the Flayer Curse.

Moreover, although Szarekh had destroyed the Command Protocols that allowed him to control the entire race after the War in Heaven—

—in legal terms, he remained the Necrons' indisputable and legitimate supreme ruler, the last "Silent King," as well as the only "Silent King" still existing today.

Although many nobles, Overlords, and Phaerons had voiced dissatisfaction and condemnation over Szarekh's return, no one yet dared to be the first to raise rebellion.

Even those who dared question or oppose him were swiftly taken away by the Triarch Praetorians and never seen again.

In short, the Silent King's return had given the Necrons, who had fallen into chaos after their recent awakening, a tendency toward reunification. At least on the surface.
