Naruto's Diary (1)

The remaining individuals removed their hats. The tall one was Kakashi, Yamashita was Neji, and Sasuke, Sakura, and Tenten were fishing at other spots.

After confirming Gato's whereabouts, the rest was to apprehend him without harming any innocents.

It would be best to capture him without bloodshed, by subduing the enemy without a fight.

During this process, by constantly having Gato speak with different 'local bosses,' his attention would be focused on the conversation itself, thus overlooking details that could easily give them away. Therefore, Naruto and the others deliberately made the 'script' full of twists and turns.

Gato's face turned icy as he looked at the group, suddenly having the thought of sacrificing himself due to carelessness.

He quietly moved his hand towards his waist.

"We saw everything," Sakura said calmly from the side. "Don't think about pulling any tricks, or you'll have to suffer some physical pain."

Naruto added, "After all this fuss, is this the level of our King of Retainers?"

Kakashi also stepped forward. "In short, just surrender."

Kakashi, Sasuke, and Neji also showed a hint of confusion.

To be safe, they couldn't let Gato speak too much.

"Yes, that's decided," Kakashi nodded.

Year 64 of Konoha. The first instance of the Land of Waves dungeon has concluded. Haku, Zabuza, and Gato will be escorted to Konoha to await judgment. I've also taken the time to organize my thoughts and review all my actions in diary form, preparing for any potential suspicions from Konoha's higher-ups.

Of course, the diary is recorded in Chinese. I'll destroy it after reading it a few times myself.

After all, there were a few instances where my behavior was abnormal. To put it in a nutshell – I was too clever in some places, not 'Naruto' enough.

I plan to find an opportunity to shift all the blame onto the Nine-Tails. The evil Tailed Beast's ideas, what do they have to do with me, Naruto Uzumaki?

Also, Gato's Korean reminder before his capture made me realize that when I transmigrated to this world, I seemed to have naturally learned Japanese and could unconsciously converse with my companions. However, when talking with Sakura, I would occasionally switch back to Chinese.

Perhaps it's better to use Chinese for important private conversations in the future.

But I also started to ponder a question: What if Gato returns to Konoha later and is interrogated by someone like Ibiki, who uncovers the truth about my transmigration?

This child must not be allowed to live!

June 21st. The bridge is completed. Sakura and I designed a plan for Gato to escape again and guided him towards the depths of the forest.

I had already prepared various traps there. Originally, I intended to let Gato fend for himself, but the traps ended up injuring a wild boar in the forest. Then the boar went berserk, broke free from the traps, and as it ran wildly down the path, it collided directly with Gato's abdomen!

He quickly fell to the ground. By the time Kakashi and the others arrived, he had lost too much blood and couldn't be saved.

Late that night, Sakura, with red eyes, found me and asked if what we did was considered murder.

Sakura, like me, had experienced many battles but had never truly killed anyone. And watching someone slowly lose their life from a hidden spot was too cruel for a girl from modern times.

She finally stopped crying, then asked if she could sleep next to me for the night. I agreed.

In short, I need to build more rapport with Konohamaru. Being alone is carefree, but strengthening familial ties is clearly more stable.
