Sealing the Source of Life

"You take the old man out. I'll handle things here from now on," Yamei said, using Timsi's blood to condense runes on his body.

Although his own physical body had been trained through the Art of a Hundred Refinements and fused with several bloodlines, making it far stronger than an ordinary person's, he knew he absolutely couldn't withstand such a powerful energy.

So, all he could do was act like a jinchuriki, sealing this terrifying energy within his body to be used at will until he could bear it.

Regarding his ability to seal this energy, Yamei had absolute confidence in the Myriad Gods Seal, which had evolved from his fusion.

The reason he extracted Timsi's blood was because Timsi's clan possessed a unique suppressive power over the Source of Life, which would better assist him in completing the seal.

At this moment, the old man hesitated before speaking again.

His gaze shifted between the swirling pattern and Timsi.

"Those with royal blood can use this totem to activate an ancient summoning seal, drawing the Source of Life into a spatial rift to resolve the issue."

"However, if this method is used, the person who activates the magic circle will not survive."

Upon hearing this, a resolute look flashed in Timsi's eyes. He turned to Yamei and said, "You should leave. This disaster started because of me, so I will end it myself..."

BOOM!

Before he could finish speaking, the massive swirling pattern suddenly exploded!

Timsi and the old man looked on in horror as the totem in the center cracked.

"It's over! It's completely over now!" The old man stared blankly at the scene before him.

"Heide!!"

Timsi glared furiously at Heide, who had already swollen considerably, wishing he could kill him on the spot.

Heide ignored Timsi's angry gaze and laughed maniacally, "With me here, you'll never destroy the Source of Life!"

"Damn it!"

Timsi clenched his fists in anger, feeling an immense sense of frustration! He couldn't even kill Heide, or the Source of Life would immediately become violent!

"Are you guys done throwing a tantrum?" Yamei had finished drawing the sealing runes on his upper body and frowned as he looked at them. "Hurry up and leave, I'll handle the rest!"

"I'll seal it within myself." Yamei said, then began to walk slowly towards the center of the Source of Life.

Timsi was stunned but knew that there was no other choice but to trust Yamei. Gritting his teeth, he led the old man out of the stone chamber.

As soon as they emerged, they saw Kakashi and the others approaching.

They had just finished dealing with their opponents and were about to enter the stone chamber to find Yamei. However, the huge underground cave had suddenly begun to collapse! They were forced to flee the cave.

As soon as they got out, they saw that the area where the underground cave had been was now a pitch-black, deep, unknown space!

While they were anxiously looking around, they saw Timsi and the old man being spat out by the dark space.

"Where's Yamei!?"

Ino and Hinata rushed forward, asking with worried expressions.

Although Yūhi Kurenai wasn't as distraught, her intense gaze fixed on Timsi and the old man conveyed her anxiety and concern.

"Yamei... he chose to stay below to seal the Source of Life..."

Timsi's voice was filled with self-blame and apology as he recounted the entire incident.

"So you're saying... Yamei is going to use his own body to seal this terrifying energy that could destroy half the continent!?" Yūhi Kurenai could no longer hold back, grabbing Timsi by the collar and demanding.

"Y-yes."

Looking into the ruby-like eyes, Timsi couldn't help but look away, unable to meet her gaze.

"No... it can't be... Yamei-kun will be fine!"

Ino and Hinata's eyes glazed over, and they murmured, feeling their bodies go weak...

"Hinata! Ino!"

Sakura and the others were shocked and quickly went to support them.

Although the others remained silent, the heavy atmosphere affected everyone.

Naruto and Sasuke clenched their fists, filled with resentment at their own weakness.

Kakashi was silent for a moment. Seeing the oppressive atmosphere, he couldn't help but speak up to comfort them. "We have to believe in Yamei!"

"If Yamei dared to make such a decision, he must have had a plan. Besides, the outcome isn't out yet!"

"Instead of being sad and worried here, it's better to pray and believe in Yamei! He's our comrade!"

Kakashi's words struck everyone's hearts like a heavy hammer. Yūhi Kurenai gently wiped away a tear from the corner of her eye.

"That's right! Yamei isn't as weak as you might think!"

Her eyes were filled with hope, the panic from excessive worry gone, replaced by firm trust in Yamei!

With Yūhi Kurenai and Kakashi speaking up, everyone's mood lightened slightly, and they all looked towards the dim space with a mixture of nervousness and anticipation.

Seeing Yamei approaching him step by step, Heide's face was filled with rage and killing intent. "Brat! Get lost! Don't interfere with me absorbing the power of the Source of Life!"

"Is this all you can do, rage impotently? It seems the overwhelming power has left you unable to move even an inch," Yamei said, standing before Heide with a mocking grin.

"You... you're spouting nonsense! I could kill you with a single breath right now! Believe it or not!" Heide snarled.

"Oh? I don't believe you, so please, blow a breath and kill me!" Yamei said with a smile, reaching out to touch him.

"You... What are you doing!?"

Heide's pupils contracted, the aura of death enveloping him.

"Killing you. The power I desire... should I let you continue to defile it?"

Yamei's smile widened as the sound of cracking echoed incessantly!

"You... the power you desire!?"

Heide's eyes widened in disbelief. Immediately after, he felt his lower body completely lose sensation.

Looking down, his lower body had completely turned into ice! Then, under the impact of violent energy, it decomposed into energy and returned to the Source of Life.

"No! I am the master of this power! You can't kill me! You'll face retribution!"

Heide's expression was one of terror, yet he couldn't stop the spread of the ice.

In fact, with the continuous replenishment from the Source of Life, he couldn't even die easily. He could only watch as his body slowly turned into ice dust... and then returned to the Source of Life.

Watching Heide finally dissipate completely, Yamei nodded with satisfaction.

With a low shout, the runes on Yamei's body began to glow with blood-red light! An incredibly terrifying suction force suddenly spread out from Yamei as the center!

The immense power of the Source of Life surged like a tide, finally engulfing Yamei completely.
