Amakawa Mingren expanded the Land of Rain’s influence through new allies and interventions in conflicts across the ninja world, while Konoha’s Uchiha crisis and Kirigakure’s rebellion unfolded. After defeating a coalition in the Land of Fields, he recruited Ying and began preparing young ninja for the Chunin Exam.

Arc 9The Snow Alliance and Hyuga Crisis

Amakawa Mingren expanded the Land of Rain’s influence by taking control of the Land of Snow, then intervened in Konoha’s conflict with Kumogakure and Hizashi Hyuga’s planned sacrifice. The arc ended with the Land of Rain and the Land of Snow strengthening their alliance as Obito Uchiha joined Fugaku Uchiha’s plot against Konoha High Command.

  • Mingren defeated Kakuzu and forced the divided village alliance to withdraw, then returned to Amegakure and recruited Jūzō Biwa.
  • Mingren purged criminals and corrupt officials, imposed reforms across the Land of Rain, and developed Dark Chakra Mode and the Negative Emotion Absorption Jutsu.
  • Mingren went to the Land of Snow, defeated Kazahana Dōtō’s forces, installed Kazahana Koyuki as daimyo, and made the country a subordinate ally of the Land of Rain.

Arc 10Moryo and the Uchiha Crisis

Mingren intervened in the Land of Demons, killed Shisui, destroyed Moryo, and secured Shion’s rule while bringing the country under his influence. As the Uchiha coup neared, Itachi accepted Danzo’s demand to massacre his clan, but Mingren’s arrival in Konoha ended his meeting with Fugaku without a fight.

  • Mingren sent Asuka and Pakura to help the Land of Demons, then launched himself from Ankbandian’s cannon to reach them when Shisui and others turned against them.
  • Mingren killed the Daimyo of the Land of Demons, defeated Shisui, and destroyed Moryo after enduring its attacks and absorbing its Negative Mental Energy.
  • Mingren secured Shion’s enthronement, made the Land of Demons an ally and vassal of the Land of Rain, and placed the Shrine Maiden under his control.
  • Itachi returned to Konoha and agreed to Danzo’s bargain to kill the Uchiha Clan in exchange for Sasuke’s safety, while Fugaku learned the truth about Shisui’s death and weighed the village’s plans.

Arc 11The Mist Village Crisis

Mingren escaped Fugaku’s Mangekyō dimension, defeated Fugaku, and returned to Amegakure with Mikoto and Ringo Ameyuri as the Uchiha massacre reshaped Konoha. He then traveled to Kirigakure, where Obito’s schemes and a rebellion against Yagura erupted into a crisis.

  • Fugaku trapped Mingren in his Mangekyō dimension and claimed victory, while Orochimaru brought news of Mingren’s apparent death to Amegakure.
  • Mingren explored the dimension, recruited Ringo Ameyuri, defeated Fugaku, and escaped as Itachi completed the Uchiha massacre and left Sasuke alive.

Arc 12Fields and New Recruits

Amakawa Mingren defeated Orosuke Hime’s plans in Kirigakure, secured compensation and a truce with Mei Terumi, then confronted the coalition stirred up against Amegakure in the Land of Fields. Ying joined Amegakure, where Mingren began preparing young ninja for Konoha’s Chunin Exam and took Ying aside after branding several candidates.

  • Amakawa Mingren defeated Orosuke Hime, made her his Dark Weapon, and returned to Kirigakure’s leaders to demand compensation and warn of his plans to unify the Ninja World.
  • Mei Terumi agreed to pay one billion in compensation and sign a one-year truce, while Mingren chose the Land of Fields as his next target.
  • Orosuke Hime returned to Otogakure, obtained the Impure World Reincarnation scroll from Danzo, and sent Kabuto Yakushi and Kimimaro to rally forces against Amegakure.
  • Kabuto Yakushi manipulated Ying into joining the gathering against Amegakure, but Mingren arrived, defeated her and the assembled fighters, and exposed how others had used her sense of justice.
