Roland, being an experienced warrior, immediately understood this simple yet effective tactic.

He nodded emphatically. "Understood, Charlotte Knight!"

"Action!" Charlotte shouted.

Roland immediately selected three Musketeers, and the four of them silently turned their horses around, using the cover of the trees, and quickly maneuvered to the back of the valley.

Charlotte took a deep breath, a cold glint flashing in her azure eyes before the hunt.

She mounted her horse and signaled to the remaining seventeen cavalrymen to prepare for a charge.

The group rode slowly, like arrows poised to be released, hidden at the edge of the treeline.

The Skarn cavalrymen on patrol on the mountaintop looked around vigilantly, but found no movement in the depths of the forest.

As Roland's cavalry gradually disappeared from sight, now was the time!

Charlotte's eyes flashed with a sharp light, and she spurred her horse on. "Follow me!"

She took the lead, bursting out of the treeline like an arrow released from a bow, heading straight for the valley!

The cavalrymen behind her shouted and followed closely.

Charlotte was incredibly steady on the galloping horse; she didn't even need to use her hands to control the reins. With her legs firmly gripping the horse's belly, she simply pulled her hard bow from behind.

Drawing the arrow, nocking the string, and drawing the bow—the entire movement was performed smoothly and effortlessly on the swaying back of a horse.

Before a Skarn cavalryman who had just turned around could even raise his scimitar, an arrow whistled and pierced his throat with pinnacle accuracy, sending him sprawling from his horse.

Charlotte didn't hesitate; her gaze sharpened, locking onto her next target.

The bowstring twanged again, and another sentry who tried to draw his bow in retaliation fell from his horse.

Her mounted archery skills were on full display at this moment; almost every arrow hit its mark, precisely stripping the enemy of their ability to resist and creating an opening for the assault team behind her.

The women tending the cattle and sheep panicked, but they quickly displayed their nomadic instincts, grabbing their children and leaping onto horses, some even without saddles, and fleeing towards the rear of the camp.

Charlotte did not order the cavalry to fire; her target was not the women and children.

The Skarn cavalrymen on the mountaintop reacted quickly; they spurred their mounts and roared as they charged down the hillside.

The scimitar in his hand gleamed coldly in the sunlight, and an arrow was already nocked in his horse's bow.

Charlotte calmly raised her hand, signaling the group to stop.

The Skarn cavalry that charged down numbered about seven or eight, and they began to hurle arrows as they charged.

However, the effective range of the horse bow was limited, and most of the sparse arrows landed futilely on the open ground in front of the column.

Charlotte and his musketeers silently aimed their muskets, waiting for the enemy to come within optimal range.

Sixty meters... fifty meters...

"Hit!" Charlotte swung her hand sharply.

Bang! Bang! Bang--!

A series of gunshots, like popping beans, suddenly rang out, and white smoke immediately filled the air in front of the battle.

The Flintlock Rifle displayed terrifying power at this distance; the two leading Skarn cavalrymen had their chests burst open, blood splattering as they screamed and fell from their horses.

Three other riders were hit by bullets, whinnying and rolling to the ground, throwing their riders off their backs.

In an instant, the fierce charge came to an abrupt halt.

The surviving Skarn cavalrymen were stunned by the sudden and intense firepower. They hurriedly reined in their horses, looking in horror at the billowing smoke and the gruesome sight of their fallen comrades, and dared not advance any further.

"Dismount and scatter! Drive them away! Seize the tents!" Charlotte's cool voice stood out clearly amidst the shouts of battle, directing her troops to expand their gains.

The cavalry acted swiftly, dismounting and occupying the Sauron tents as makeshift defensive positions, using muskets for cover, and began mopping up the remaining enemy.

The remaining Skarn cavalry retreated further away, pacing anxiously, caught in a dilemma.

He occasionally pointed to the tent area and the scattered, unattended cattle and sheep.

They were clearly caught in a dilemma: attack, but fear the enemy's thunderous firearms; retreat, but unwilling to abandon their lifeline for the winter.

Charlotte knew very well that losing these livestock would be tantamount to annihilation for the small Skarn tribe, which was dependent on the Sauron and had to pay heavy taxes.

Just as the Skarn cavalry hesitated, several sudden gunshots rang out from the valley exit behind them!

Immediately following were the neighing of warhorses and shouts of battle!

Roland's flanking force has arrived!

"Our allies have arrived!" Charlotte, hearing the gunfire and shouts from ahead, immediately assessed the situation. "Mount up!"

The seventeen musketeer cavalrymen swiftly mounted their horses, their movements far more agile than during their usual training.

The initial tension was dispelled by the brief victory and the support of his comrades, replaced by a kind of excitement after his first battle.

The Skarn people in the valley were now in complete panic.

Facing mysterious and deadly archers, with their retreat cut off by an unknown number of enemies, their last shred of fighting spirit crumbled.

The remaining cavalrymen no longer cared about the cattle and sheep. With a shout, they scattered and fled, wanting only to escape this valley of death.

"Chase them!" Charlotte ordered, but instead of scattering the troops, she pointed to the few enemies trying to escape through the weak points on the front.

Roland obeyed Charlotte's orders and did not lead his troops rashly into the chaotic center of the valley, but instead firmly guarded the northern exit.

When faced with dire circumstances, these nomadic peoples will instinctively flee northwards, like an invisible net, quietly waiting for frightened fish to run into it.

Meanwhile, Roland calmly directed his cavalry to use muskets to pick off the enemies who were trying to break through, forcing them back into the valley and leaving Charlotte's main force to deal with them.

Just then, Charlotte noticed a man who looked like the leader of the Skarn cavalry who had just resisted the most fiercely was trying to rally his men and flee towards the northern exit on horseback.

The man was an exceptionally skilled rider; even while fleeing, he maintained remarkably steady control of his horse.

Charlotte rode close behind her.

Surprisingly, as Charlotte closed the distance to his right rear at an extremely awkward angle, the highly skilled Skarn rider suddenly twisted his body and drew his bow in an almost impossible pose.

He was a rare elite soldier, capable of shooting with both hands! The arrow, accompanied by a deathly whistle, shot straight at Charlotte!

This arrow came too fast and too tricky, almost sealing off all angles for dodging.

But Charlotte reacted even faster! The instant the horse turned, she seemed to anticipate the attack, her entire body almost pressed against the side of the horse's neck.

This is a classic cavalry evasive maneuver—hiding in the stirrups!

At the same time, she had already raised her bow.

The cold arrowhead grazed her shoulder armor, sending sparks flying.
