Power Progression

Background and History

Pangu's essence blood gave the Witch Clan formidable bodies but also burdened them with Heaven-Opening Fiendish Energy, which made forming a Primordial Spirit difficult. Zhou Ming devised the Nine Revolutions Sha Quenching Art to help the twelve other Ancestral Witches refine that energy. Later Witches created in Pangu Hall's Blood Pool had strong bodies but still did not form Primordial Spirits 1 5 12.

The twelve Ancestral Witches contributed essence blood to the Blood Pool to create more kin. Under Zhou Ming's planning and his avatar Wu Ming's guidance, their settlement at Buzhou Mountain developed into an orderly tribal community 12 20.

At Buzhou Mountain, Wu Ming formally established the clan through an oath to refine Sha Qi, regulate earth veins, and guard the Primordial World. The oath brought Merit to its members and increased the clan's Destiny. Although the rival Demon Race later sought dominion over the Primordial Wilderness, Witch Clan leadership repeatedly rejected conquest in favor of cultivation and fulfilling the oath 24 28 73.

Zhou Ming eventually moved hundreds of millions of clan members from Buzhou Mountain into the Pangu Realm, which he declared their new home. Dijiang, Houtu, and Zhujiuyin organized their settlement there. During a later conflict, Hongjun absorbed the sources of billions of Witch Clan members, erasing them; the Ancestral Witches remained active afterward 590 718 742.

Appearance

At the clan's founding, its warriors were described as towering and heavily muscled, with naturally inscribed law runes on their skin and Sha Qi surrounding them 24.

Abilities and Skills

Physical cultivation and laws

• Witches temper their bodies with Sha Qi and the essence of the sun and moon; warriors also practice battle techniques and comprehend laws 20.
• Their inherited fiendish energy can cloud the mind. Zhou Ming's art helped the twelve Ancestral Witches refine it, but it did not enable the later-born Witches to form Primordial Spirits 1 5 12.

Refining Sha Qi and regulating earth veins

• The clan's founding oath commits its members to absorb and refine Sha Qi, regulate earth veins, and stabilize the world 24.
• Before the formal founding, Ancestral Witches regulated damaged earth veins and refined Sha Qi in the West, accumulating Merit 10.

Great Formation of the Thirteen Heavenly Gods and Demons

• Zhou Ming and the twelve Ancestral Witches can combine their power to manifest Pangu's True Body. Pangu Hall can serve as the formation's core 45 66 706.
• Selected Great Witches received Ancestral Witch essence blood so they could fill vacant positions if all thirteen leaders could not gather. Zhou Ming stated that such a formation would be weaker than one formed by the Ancestral Witches themselves 120 121.

Relationships

• Pangu — Progenitor and source of the clan's bloodline inheritance; the Witches revere him as Father God 1 24.
• Zhou Ming / Wu Ming — Zhou Ming leads the clan; his avatar Wu Ming managed its affairs and publicly led its founding 12 24.
• Demon Race — Rival power whose attempt to destroy the Witch Clan ended in defeat at Buzhou Mountain 66 73 78.
• Zhen Yuanzi and Hongyun — Friends of Wu Ming who traveled to Buzhou Mountain to support the clan before the Witch-Demon War 12 63.
