As their rival searches began across the Human Race’s Nine Provinces, Guang Chengzi worried that the Jie Sect’s numbers would give it the advantage.

• Tongtian’s Edict ordered the Interception Sect’s disciples, including Zhao Gongming and Yunxiao, Qiongxiao, and Bixiao, to find the person of destiny and bring them to Jinao Island.
• Venerable Lord Yuanshi ordered the Twelve Golden Immortals to find the same person for the Chan Sect, and Guang Chengzi promised they would succeed.
• True Lord Taiyi mocked the Interception Sect, while Guang Chengzi and Chi Jingzi cautioned their fellow disciples to avoid needless conflict and focus on the search.

After ten thousand years of preparation, Wu left Huoyun Cave to undergo Reincarnation and enter the Tribulation as the Human Emperor. Fuxi, Shennong, Sui Ren Shi, Hong Yun, and the other ancient sages stayed behind to conceal the disturbance in Human Race Fortune and protect Wu's plan.

• Wu announced that the ten-thousand-year period had ended and that he was about to undergo Reincarnation as the Human Emperor.
