The Nine Bends Yellow River Formation killed Yuanshi’s Twelve Golden Immortals, prompting the Sages to clash over the Interception Sect and Di Xin. After Taiqing and Yuanshi broke Tongtian’s Immortal Slaying Sword Formation, Tongtian accepted a final contest using the Myriad Immortals Formation.
Tongtian and the Interception Sect fought the other Sages at Sishui Pass, and Zhou Ming intervened to free Tongtian from the Heavenly Dao as the Primordial Wilderness was shattered. After the tribulation ended, the surviving disciples returned to Jinao Island, while the Sages’ disputes continued over defectors and stolen True Spirits.
Nuwa secured merit from the Western Sages, while Pingxin arranged for Buddhist disciples to help in the Underworld. Hongyun attained Hunyuan, forced Jieyin and Zhunti to promise repayment, and returned to Huoyun Cave to share his insights before entering seclusion.
Duobao established Mahayana Buddhism as Zhou Ming strengthened the Witch Clan and freed it from the Heavenly Dao’s control. The powers then negotiated Buddhism’s eastward spread and finalized a plan for a scripture-seeking journey with 108 tribulations.
Jieyin and Zhunti set the Journey to the West in motion, while Sun Wukong was born, sought immortality, and learned the Dao from Patriarch Bodhi. As Zhou Ming and the Ancestral Witches completed the transfer of Pangu’s Will, Sun Wukong’s Havoc in Heaven approached and Yang Jian set out to capture him.
Sun Wukong’s rebellion ends beneath Five-Finger Mountain, while Zhou Ming learns that Luohu survives beneath Spirit Mountain and helps settle the Western Sages’ debts. Wu completes the Martial Dao and claims the Human Dao Authority, leaving the Saints to face a Human Race increasingly independent of them.
Zhou Ming’s allies prepared to break free of the Heavenly Dao as Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao struggled for control. Haotian, Yaochi, and Duobao received a way to rebuild their Dao foundations, while Tongtian attained Hunyuan and passed the method to his former disciple.
The former Sages severed their Heavenly Dao positions while Hongjun and the Heavenly Dao fought, but the Heavenly Dao manipulated Hongjun, Destiny, and Karma to complete itself. Zhou Ming gathered the Witch Clan and their allies to prepare an assault as the Demon Realm seal broke.
Zhou Ming destroyed the Heavenly Dao, but Hongjun revived himself and used the chaos that followed to restore his power and gather allies. The arc ended with Hongjun, Yang Mei, Luohu, Karma, and Destiny preparing an array to weaken Pangu’s True Body when Zhou Ming returned.
After Wu’s sacrifice helped Zhou Ming break through, Zhou Ming led the fight that destroyed Hongjun’s alliance and rebuilt the shattered Primordial Wilderness as the Pangu Realm. He refined the three Dao Authorities, prepared his companions for the danger of his final breakthrough, and entered the deepest Chaos with the realm sealed inside him.
Zhou Ming faced the systems and Yang Mei during the creation of a new world, then completed his Dao and transformed himself to establish it. He left a Dao Body to guard Chaos and departed with Pangu for the Eternal Dao Realm.
Pangu revealed the Chaos Sea’s history and guided Zhou Ming through Great Dao Realm cultivation, while Zhou Ming explored the Sea and entered a Law Secret Realm. When the Abyssal Sea Divine Hub attacked Houtu’s breakthrough, Zhou Ming protected her until she attained Hunyuan, then fled with her from You Jue.
As the Origin Realm of Ten Thousand Daos opened, the Eternal Dao Realm and the Abyssal Sea Divine Hub fought over entry while Zhou Ming and Houtu advanced their cultivation inside. After the battle left both sides’ Unity Realm experts incapacitated, Zhou Ming and Houtu took turns guarding the Ninth Chaos and returned to cultivation.
Zhou Ming and Houtu saved Dijiang’s True Spirit after the Abyssal Sea Divine Hub’s systems ruined his attempt to prove the Dao. When Wu faced the Hub’s next invasion, he refined the Primordial World into his inner world, reached the Great Dao Realm through Martial Dao, and destroyed the systems before entering the Chaos Sea.
Wu, Zhou Ming, and Pangu learned the truth about Yuan Chu and the Chaos Sea as the Abyssal Sea Divine Hub departed. In the Hongmeng Universe, Zhou Ming joined forces with Qing Yang and Purple Moon, killed Cang Yun, and took control of the Luofu Realm.
Zhou Ming turned Liu Yuan and the Luofu Realm’s Sages into agents for gathering Fortune across the Flowing Light Domain, building a force that swept through worlds with his talismans and teleportation tokens. After Liu Yuan’s team killed Ancestor Xuantian and looted the Hunyuan Realm, Daoist Azure Nether escaped, leaving their campaign exposed.
Cang Yu and Liu Yuan used Zhou Ming’s talismans to seize fortune and defeat the Flowing Light Domain’s forces, prompting the Ten Great Dao Realms to seek help from the Divine Asura Domain. Liu Yuan returned to Zhou Ming with the spoils, while Xuan Cang’s escape and the rival powers’ response left the conflict unresolved.
Liu Yuan’s forces conquered the outer worlds of the Flowing Light Domain while Zhou Ming absorbed their Destiny and waited for the Realm War to weaken the Divine Asura Domain. Three scouting teams traveled beyond the domain, and Mo Yun’s group returned with signs that war was approaching.
Zhou Ming conquered the Ten Great Dao Realms and sent their forces into the Divine Asura Domain to gather fortune and rare materials while its rulers prepared for war. The invasion escalated into open conflict, and the Divine Asura Domain mobilized to hunt the raiders as Fankong’s group headed for the Blackstone Star Belt.
Liu Yuan’s forces plundered the Seven Great Domains for fortune until their alliance trapped them, but Zhou Ming defeated the seven Da Luo True Lords and allowed the plundering to resume under new terms. A gathering of more than thirty True Lords began investigating Zhou Ming’s origins and the surviving inner world of True Saint Yuan Chu.
