"Because if you leave this place, you'll keep having that terrifying dream," I said.
Liu Ling'er froze for a moment, then nodded. "Then let's stay here for now."
"I'll investigate everything thoroughly," I said.
So we temporarily settled down in this madhouse. The entire facility covered a vast area, with buildings scattered all around it.
One person after another lived there. They had all entered the madhouse, and once they went in, they could never leave again.
To my surprise, life in the madhouse was unbelievably normal. Although some people had dull expressions, they never hurt anyone.
Everything here was peaceful, and it actually gave me a trace of serenity.
That made me feel even more puzzled, because this was clearly a madhouse.
There should have been a group of lunatics living here. But to my surprise, everyone here was perfectly normal.

None of this made any sense, yet I found it extremely strange.
In a room, Liu Ling'er sat to one side and said in astonishment, "I don't know why, but life in the madhouse is unexpectedly pleasant."
"That isn't a good thing." Without turning my head, I said, "There's definitely something wrong with this madhouse. Don't forget, this is a forbidden land of life. Something extremely terrifying is bound to happen."
"That's true. But what exactly happened?" Liu Ling'er asked.
"What?" I froze for a moment, then looked at her with a smile. "I'm not entirely sure either, but I have a feeling that the truth here will reveal itself to me soon."
After staying in the madhouse for several days, I discovered that security here was not strict at all. Everyone could come and go as they pleased, yet not a single person was willing to leave.
They had already made the madhouse their home.
