The three of them had all released their pent-up emotions during the horseplay. As mentioned before, this mission had placed tremendous psychological pressure on all three of them. They had also encountered far too many dangers along the way, so the fear and unease that had built up inside them were thoroughly eased.
After fooling around for a while, the three began washing themselves with water. That black substance was simply too stinky, and none of them was even willing to think about what it actually was.
Just as the three were washing themselves, Zhong Lichun suddenly stopped moving. The smile on her face faded as well. Then she turned her head toward the forest in the distance.
Mo Li and Wei Dengke stopped washing when they saw the drastic change in Zhong Lichun's expression. They turned to follow her gaze, and both of them were dumbfounded. They saw five or six Yetis slowly approaching through the woods. These Yetis were generally similar in appearance to the family they had encountered earlier, but a careful look revealed many differences in the details.
For one thing, the fur on these Yetis was much thicker and somewhat lighter in color, tending toward grayish white. Their faces were also covered in long hair, but from the eyes showing through it, the three could tell that these Yetis were clearly more bloodthirsty and vicious, and lacked reason.
Seeing so many Yetis suddenly appear, the three did not dare make another sound. Because of the mist created by the waterfall and the difference in elevation, they could see the Yetis, but the Yetis probably could not see them yet. Moreover, being in the water was certainly safer than being on land, so the three decided to hide in the water and watch what happened.
