Background / History

Dai Mubai is the second prince of the Star Luo Empire. Under the empire’s succession system, royal heirs are raised as enemies: the victor inherits, while the loser is eliminated. His elder brother, Dai Weisi, once beat him nearly to death, forcing Dai Mubai to flee to the Heaven Dou Empire and take refuge at Shrek Academy. 111

He first meets Tang San, Lin Zhixia, and Xiao Wu while working temporarily at Suotuo City’s Rose Hotel. Recognizing their intention to apply to Shrek Academy, he guides them to Flame Barbecue and warns Tang San that Shrek’s entrance examination is extremely strict. 13

As Shrek’s senior student, Dai Mubai is assigned responsibility for leading the group through Master Yu Xiaogang’s training plan. He becomes a central frontline fighter and a reliable organizer during arena training, team battles, and later military campaigns. 15 20 315

His confidence can become impulsiveness or carelessness. Remarks he made around other academy students hurt Zhu Zhuqing, and he later acknowledges that he had failed to consider her feelings.
