Kiana continued to taunt, drawing its aggro. This intelligent but irrational monster could have all its hatred drawn out by trash talk alone, creating an excellent opportunity for her teammate.

Kiana looked at the bruised and swollen giant spider, blood seeping from its face onto its body. She stretched her wrists. "Don't say I'm bullying you. From now on, it's a one-on-one fight between us."

She didn't notice her blood dripping onto the spider and quickly disappearing, nor did she notice the Honkai energy patterns spreading across the spider's abdomen.

"It's you, heh heh heh..."

The spider let out a chilling laugh. Though it was in a human voice, it was bone-chilling.

Then, something even more horrifying happened.

The spider-human's head, the part they thought was its weak point and was heavily wounded by Raiden Mei's sword, shriveled up and detached from the spider's body.

No, it broke off.

It was as if the upper body was never part of the spider's body to begin with. The upper torso fell from a height and smashed heavily onto the ground.

The giant spider's body contorted, and something like a worm began to grow from beneath its current shell.

Kiana's expression changed. She quickly jumped off the spider's body and rapidly retreated to a safe distance.

The bone-like shell grew into armor, greatly increasing its defense. The original head position became a black hole, from which many dark tentacles emerged, each tipped with a scarlet eyeball.

Those tentacles stared greedily at Kiana, and an indescribable voice, mimicking a human one, echoed out.

"Become one with me, and ascend to godhood together!"

All eight of its massive legs moved in unison, charging at Kiana like an unstoppable, colossal truck.

"Damn! What the hell is this thing?!"

This was even more grotesque than an octopus.

Kiana was disgusted and dodged behind a building, but the sturdy structure was like paper in front of the giant spider.

Take off its beautiful head.

This guy has a second form?!

Did it steal that head from someone else?!

The thought made Kiana nauseous with revulsion, and she ran even faster.

This thing was truly disgusting to her. The sight of those black, eye-covered tentacles made her lose any thought of fighting it while standing on the spider.

The main problem was that she didn't have any ranged weapons.

A loud explosion accompanied by scorching flames erupted on the spider's body. Kiana seized the opportunity to widen the distance again, finally having time to look back.
