Background / History

Kiana transmigrated into a parallel Honkai setting several months before the story begins. Her original name is unknown; both her new body and the name “Kiana” were supplied by an inactive system. At first, she believed she had arrived in a world without Honkai, until she recognized Raiden Mei and later learned that Izumo was already doomed beneath the shadow of The Void 1 3.

Her system offers a path toward becoming the Herrscher of Finality, but activating it risks bringing Honkai to an entire world. Kiana initially refuses to make that decision, knowing the destruction associated with Honkai; the appearance of Kishin and the worsening crisis in Izumo eventually compel her to use that power 5 8.

Kiana later reveals that she came from beyond the universe and bound herself to Izumo in an attempt to save it from The Void. Her incomplete, forcibly accelerated Herrscher transformation is the source of her recurring instability and loss of control 136.

Appearance

Kiana is a distinctive white-haired young woman with azure eyes. Her eyes can become gold when her Honkai and Void powers become active, while blue eyes signify that she has better control over herself 1 101 107.

  • White hair and azure-blue eyes 1
  • Golden eyes during uncontrolled battle states and heightened Honkai activity 101 104
  • Faint Honkai-erosion marks remain on her hand after exposure to Izumo’s extreme Honkai concentration 108
  • Acquires a holy-looking white dress and long gloves through an equipment transformation on Jarilo-VI 153

Personality

Kiana is direct, emotionally expressive, and stubbornly protective. She initially pursues sword training largely as an excuse to stay near Mei, and she is unafraid to be openly affectionate or shamelessly persistent with the people she loves 1 130.

Although others regard her as selfless, Kiana insists that she helps people to avoid personal regret rather than out of pure nobility. This self-awareness does not make her passive: she repeatedly chooses to confront disasters, even when she believes the outcome may be hopeless 11 53 64.

Her greatest weakness is her tendency to act before considering the consequences. She is willing to gamble with her sanity, her life, and even a world’s future to protect Izumo or those close to her. When Honkai and Void power overwhelm her, her aggression and emotions intensify until she feels like a puppet unable to control her own body 64 101 104 106.

Abilities & Skills

Power of the End

Kiana’s core talent grants her an evolving connection to Honkai and the potential to become the Herrscher of Finality.

  • Can raise or introduce Honkai Energy Concentration within worlds linked to her; Izumo reaches maximum concentration, while Jarilo-VI is later brought into Honkai’s scope 72 153.
  • Her eventual complete transformation is expected to rewrite Izumo’s rules and further increase its Honkai energy 136.
  • Can endure and operate within Izumo’s extremely concentrated Honkai environment while suppressing the urge to become a Herrscher 81.
  • Suffers erosion, emotional amplification, instability, and loss of bodily control when her power becomes unbalanced 101 104 107.
  • Temporarily avoids using Honkai energy after recognizing her dependence on it and questioning her purpose 106.

Void Power

Kiana possesses Void-based power alongside her Honkai abilities.

  • Phase Shift (Void) allows spatial movement and access to subspace/Imaginary Space 23 25.
  • Uses Phase Shift to rescue Sirin from a collapsing Imaginary Space 23.
  • Later wields the power of the Void in large-scale combat, freezing and destroying enemies with frost slashes 101.
  • Her Void and Honkai powers react against one another when unbalanced, worsening her combat instability 101.

Power of the Saintess

A purification ability listed in her restored system profile.

  • Purifies the ominous, emotion-corrupted fox power connected to Yae Sakura and returns it to Sakura rather than destroying it 72 93.
  • Allows Kiana to alter stable Stigmata-world conditions, including changing Yae Sakura’s Stigmata world so Rin no longer dies through accidents 95.

Combat Skill

Kiana combines extraordinary natural talent, brute force, mobility, and improvised weapon use.

  • Perfectly reproduces Mei’s iai slash after witnessing it, despite having no prior sword training 1.
  • Demonstrates exceptional marksmanship during the Kasli-VIII ambush 70.
  • Defeats low-level Oni Gods with a single punch and can overpower opponents many times her size 21 28.
  • Uses a baseball bat effectively enough to knock a giant spider from a skyscraper and crater it on impact 19 20.
  • Can augment her unarmed attacks by more than a thousand times with equipped badges 113.
  • Her fighting style becomes dangerously destructive when she loses control, favoring overwhelming power over technique 101 104.

Honkai System and Stigmata Crafting

Kiana’s system functions as an equipment shop, storage space, and recycling mechanism.

  • Recycles Demon Blades and enemy remains into Honkai Crystals used to purchase equipment 11 21 42.
  • Provides healing sprays and potions capable of treating injuries rapidly 23 28.
  • Grants Mei the Thunder Soul Imprint, allowing Mei to control a new form of energy and improve her physical performance 13.
  • Creates the Unfinished Path Stigmata to improve Honkai resistance and melee damage 54.
  • Can store equipment, weapons, photographs, and other objects in an inventory-like space 72.

Equipment / Weapons / Items

  • WR750 Baseball Bat — One-star melee weapon purchased through the system; Kiana favors it over guns because she lacks ammunition and formal gun-fu training 27.
  • Unarmed-combat badges — Equipment that vastly amplifies her punches; Kiana pursues them specifically to become a “One-Punch Man” 28 42 113.
  • Healing sprays and potions — Area healing items used on Sirin and Mei 23 28.
  • Unfinished Path — A Stigmata created by Kiana for Honkai resistance and melee enhancement 54.
  • Yae Sakura’s Stigmata — A Stigmata containing Yae Sakura and Rin’s world; Kiana initially equips it, then removes it for Ruan Mei’s research after ensuring it is safe 95 115.
  • System storage photograph — A photograph of Kiana embracing Mei, retained through her amnesia and later helping trigger memories of Mei 72.

Relationships

  • Raiden Mei / Yomi — Kiana’s closest attachment and primary reason for fighting for Izumo. Mei teaches her swordsmanship, trusts her despite suspicion from others, and is repeatedly described as the most important person in Kiana’s heart. Kiana openly confesses that she loves her 1 56 130 149.
  • Ruan Mei — Research partner and the person who shelters Kiana during her amnesia. Ruan Mei helps balance Kiana’s conflicting energies, studies Honkai alongside her, and becomes someone Kiana refuses to abandon 76 108 131 149.
  • Sirin — Kiana rescues and heals Sirin after finding her in Imaginary Space. Their relationship develops into friendship and business cooperation, with Sirin becoming one of Kiana’s earliest and strongest defenders 23 27 34 57.
  • Yae Sakura — Initially clashes with Kiana over Narukami, but the two become friends after Kiana accepts Sakura’s mission. Kiana later enters Sakura’s Stigmata world, purifies her corrupted power, and promises to free both Sakura and Rin from it 3 4 93 95.
  • Jana — A Planet-class Honkai Beast that identifies Kiana as its “Master.” Jana guards Izumo, provides Kiana with a special Honkai Crystal, and eventually assumes a human form in order to remain by Kiana’s side 81 83 159.
  • The Nightingale — A friend Kiana meets while suffering from amnesia on Kasli-VIII. The Nightingale’s song triggers Kiana’s memories of Mei, and her help later allows Kiana’s reputation to spread across the stars 68 70 129.
  • Fei Xiao — The Sky Strike General first encounters Kiana as an unstable opponent on a battlefield. After recognizing Kiana’s struggle for control, Fei Xiao offers her aid, treatment, and an invitation to Yaoqing 104 107.
