Shirou agreed to help Olga-Marie find the keepsake she had lost, then realized Leinys had taken it and confronted her. Leinys admitted she had staged the loss to test Shirou and create an opportunity to gain Olga-Marie’s favor, while also claiming she genuinely wanted to help her.
Shirou recovered Olga-Marie’s treasured pendant and accepted her invitation to lunch aboard the Mage’s Eye Collection Train. During their meal, he learned that her tutor Theresa had predicted a Rainbow-ranked Mage’s Eye would appear at the auction before disappearing three months earlier.
Shirou learned that the featured auction item on the Mage's Eye Collection Train would be taken from one of its passengers, then followed a mysterious mist to meet the train's manager, Rita Rozayen. Rita agreed to treat his unconscious friend after the journey but warned him to leave the train or die; when Shirou asked why, she said she was an artist.
Rita Rozayen warned Shirou that the Mage's Eye Collection Train faced a threat she could not explain, but he refused to leave the passengers behind. On the third morning, the train went off course and approached the Child of Einnashe, leaving Shirou, Rin, Luvia, and the other guests to face the crisis.
Shirou led a group into the Child of Einnashe to stop it from growing into a new Ancestor. As the forest disrupted magecraft and Yvette struggled with her Mystic Eyes, Shirou began enhancing her Magecraft Crest.
Shirou reinforced Yvette’s, Rin’s, and Luvia’s magecraft crests, improving their magical energy circulation as they crossed the hostile forest. When the Child of Einnashe attacked, the three fought through its vampiric branches and reached its enormous central tree.
Luvia destroyed the weakened Child of Einnashe, but the blizzard continued and a far more powerful enemy emerged. The newcomer identified himself as Vlov Arkhangel, the Nineteenth of the Twenty-Seven Ancestors, while Shirou remained unfazed and dismissed him as weak.
Shirou Amamiya effortlessly defeated Frolov in their first clash, but an overwhelming freeze transformed the Vampire Forest and separated him from Rin Tohsaka, Luvia, and Yvette. As Frolov prepared to fight again, a powerful black-coated vampire arrived and ordered him to stop.
Shirou faced Nero Chaos, who identified his eyes as the Mystic Eyes of Crimson Moon Brunestud and claimed he intended to take them. Nero then attacked with a huge beast emerging from his body, sending Shirou flying, though Shirou struck back by driving a Blade of Chaos into its palate.
Shirou fought Nero Chaos and Vlov Arkhangel on a frozen battlefield, but Nero’s endlessly reviving beasts and Vlov’s freezing attacks threatened to overwhelm him. Rita Rozayen arrived and claimed the right to kill Shirou herself, intending to take his soul as her familiar.
Rin Tohsaka, Luvia, and Yvette were confronted by the ancient Dead Apostle Lubare, while Shirou fought Nero and Frolov in Frolov’s blizzard-covered otherworld. Shirou adapted to the storm and cut down Nero’s beasts, leaving Nero to realize how he was countering them.
Shirou recovered his strength through his contract with Justiça and used his projected Vortex Sword to unleash Enuma Elish against Nero Chaos. The world-rending attack tore through Nero’s beasts and the frozen landscape, leaving his fate uncertain.
Shirou unleashed the Vortex Sword against Nero Chaos, but Rita Rozayen exploited his distraction and trapped him in her Rose Mage’s Eye. Meanwhile, Lubare defeated Rin, Luvia, and Yvette, then sensed an eerie silence on the snowfield.
Lou-Fei-Le-Wu-Si Ulysses chose to help Shirou’s allies confront the Lake Dead Apostle and his kin. Shirou woke in a luxurious room to find Morgan standing over him.
