Shirou and his allies fought the Red faction, claimed the Greater Grail, and uncovered Amakusa Shirou’s plan to save humanity. After forming a pact with the Black faction, they faced Caster’s giant Adam Kamon, whose regeneration threatened the surrounding land.

• King Arthur recognized Mordred as his daughter, but Mordred refused the throne and later rebelled against Artoria to preserve her father’s legacy.
• Mordred awoke in Kaijiri Shishigami’s workshop, recognized Shirou as her father, and agreed to protect Aika as his ally.
• Shirou and Jeanne confronted Semiramis, while Shirou defeated Atalanta in an archery contest and learned the Red faction’s Masters were hidden.
• Shirou rescued Mordred from Vlad III, defeated him with Unlimited Blade Works, and watched Darnic force Vlad to become Dracula.
• Shirou, Mordred, and Jeanne escaped Spartacus’s destruction using Avalon, then Shirou seized the Greater Grail as Amakusa Shirou revealed his identity and goal of saving humanity.
• Fiore became head of the Black faction, and Shirou formed a non-aggression pact with her while discovering Caster had defected and was creating Adam Kamon.
• Shirou, Mordred, Chiron, and Astolfo attacked Adam Kamon, and Mordred shattered its head, but Jeanne explained that its barrier was regenerating it by transforming the land.
• Shirou asked Jeanne to use Divine Judgment to replenish his mana and command him to destroy Adam Kamon.

Shirou fought his way into Semiramis’s Hanging Gardens, died facing Karna, and returned by rebuilding his body and wielding the Holy Sword of the Stars. After defeating Karna and rescuing poisoned Masters with Atalanta, Shirou learned that Manaka had taken another Holy Grail and likely entered the Floating Garden.

• Shirou destroyed Avicebron’s giant, rescued Roche, and returned to Milenia Castle, where Fiore asked him to heal her legs and Jeanne agreed to lead an operation against Vlad III.
• Shirou stopped Mordred from killing Dur, then discovered that Lancer had attacked the castle with ghouls and rescued Fiore by beheading the vampire with Harpe.
• Shirou and Jeanne cleared ghouls in Tuliphas, while Amakusa gathered the Red Servants and launched an attack that drew the Black faction into Semiramis’s Hanging Gardens.
• Shirou faced Karna alone, released the Holy Sword of the Stars, and was pulled into a crack in the world after Karna’s spear overwhelmed him.
• Shirou rebuilt his body in Elysium with Lady Avalon’s help, returned to the battle, and became the King to unleash Unlimited Excalibur Works and defeat Karna.
• Manaka intervened in Achilles and Chiron’s duel, revealed her wish to destroy the world for Saber, and used the Grail’s authority to capture Chiron before escaping Chiron’s attack.
• Shirou defeated Atalanta in a race despite badly injuring himself, then persuaded her to help rescue the poisoned Masters held by Assassin.
• Shirou learned that Manaka had another real Holy Grail and was believed to have entered the Floating Garden.

After Aika’s death triggered Metatron’s judgment, Shirou gathered allies and prepared to stop the destruction of Old Humanity. His assault failed, and Metatron absorbed him, leaving him to awaken in a strange space beside a frozen Jeanne.

• Shirou watched Aika die from Semiramis’s poison, and Amakusa Shirou used the Holy Grail to begin his wish to save humanity.
• Jeanne Metatron emerged and declared that humanity would be destroyed in seven days, while Shirou took the sleeping Aika to Milenia Castle for treatment.
• Shirou trained Laeticia and gathered allies, as Fiore transferred most of her Magecraft Crest to Caules and left the life of a magus.
• Shirou restored Achilles’s will to fight and reunited with Atalanta, who became Atalanta Alter to gain power against the angels.
• Semiramis joined Shirou’s cause, and Shirou led the group from the castle to confront Metatron with support from the Mage’s Association and Artificial Lifeforms.
• Shirou captured angels and exploited their network with false commands, then Laeticia summoned Jacob’s Ladder to bring them to Metatron’s garden.
• Shirou unleashed Excalibur: Unlimited Excalibur Works, but Metatron survived, bound him, and declared that he would preserve humanity as its sole survivor.
• Metatron absorbed Shirou to give him another chance to become human, and he awoke in a strange space before finding Jeanne frozen in an ice coffin.

Shirou and Jeanne stopped Metatron’s plan to preserve humanity in slothful dreams, then Shirou returned to Fuyuki and reunited with his family. He uncovered the new Greater Grail created to bring him back and chose to make Justiça his familiar rather than hold another Holy Grail War or let her die.

• Shirou rejected Metatron’s peaceful refuge, joined Laeticia in battle, and helped defeat her with Crimson Lotus Saintess and Metatron (Sloth)’s intervention.
• Shirou and the surviving Servants said farewell, then he parted from Aika and Laeticia before returning to Fuyuki City.
• Shirou reunited with his family, resumed school and home life, and met Caren Ortensia, who was investigating reports of a Holy Grail in Fuyuki.
• Irisviel revealed that she and the others had created a new Greater Grail from the Mana Cores and a fragment of Justiça’s altar while trying to bring Shirou back.
• Shirou investigated the supposed Holy Grail and spent time with Rin, Aoi, Sakura, and Justiça, unaware at first that Justiça had been visiting him disguised as Irisviel.
• The family told Shirou that Justiça had been resurrected to call him back, and Justiça offered him the choice between a Fifth Holy Grail War and dismantling the Greater Grail at the cost of her life.
• After Illya begged him to save Justiça, Shirou knocked Illya unconscious and declared that Justiça would become his familiar and stay under his protection.
