Background / History

Don and Liu Yuanyuan take part in an exploration mission connected to the Duke. While investigating underground passages, they notice an oil lamp changing to dark green and hear a cursed, door-like sound; Liu advises using the Duke's staff as scouts rather than entering the anomalous passage themselves. Don is hesitant to involve the Duke's subordinates, but ultimately contacts them through his notebook. 1927 1928

When swarms of cursed insects emerge from the passage, Don freezes the approaching creatures with a cold wind. The frozen insects dissolve into mist without leaving remains. 1929

After Fang Ying disappears during the exploration, Don worries that he and Liu Yuanyuan may be suspected of killing the Duke's subordinate for treasure.
