The Batman Who Laughs kept thinking, endlessly running through every possible response Batman might make. He had thought so hard that his brain was practically smoking.

After repeatedly using Bruce's mindset to deal with his opponent and suffering one failure after another, The Batman Who Laughs finally realized that he was not dealing with a traditional Bruce. When making plans against Batman Dragon, his opponent might very well do things that even he could never predict.

This could greatly increase the odds of summoning a Five-Dimensional Being. As for the Reverse-Flash of this universe, Batman Dragon probably considered him the easiest teammate to recruit.
