Time flew.

Time also stood eternal.

Time crossed the stars, making people tremble and turning you into something you had once never imagined you could become.

And so, as the First Lantern stood in the vast starry sky and gazed at the ocean-blue Earth, he thought:

The First Lantern did not turn around. He heard the Shadow Hordes urging him on. Compared to the First Lantern's countless emotions, the Shadow Hordes seemed more calculating and more impatient—or rather, setting all that aside...

His voice was filled with resolve.

The Shadow Hordes appeared before the First Lantern. The First Lantern had been unwilling to turn around for a long time, so the Shadow Hordes flew over to him instead.

He said nothing. He merely stood shoulder to shoulder with the First Lantern, gazing with him for several seconds at the enormous blue celestial body radiating light through the universe, even at this critical moment.

He paused, then slowly said, "I think the time has come."
