This had effectively caused him to rebel against the Dark Knights, but in the blink of an eye, he died under The Batman Who Laughs's schemes. He had not even survived four panels.

The energy Barbatos had granted The Batman Who Laughs naturally possessed the ability to empower others. The Batman Who Laughs infused Dawnbreaker's body with Barbatos's Dark Matter Universe Energy, but he had also added something extra to that energy.
