No one spoke. Every face was grave.
Only heavy, uneven footsteps drew closer and closer.
Amid an atmosphere of extreme oppression, the figures within the Miasma Fog finally emerged slowly.
Lugu's pupils abruptly contracted.
These Shigu Tribesmen no longer looked much like "people."
Their faces, arms, and bodies were covered in bite marks. It was as though they had been "eaten" by others, yet blood dripped from their mouths, clearly showing that they too had "eaten" others.
You ate me; I ate you. They had exchanged flesh and blood, linked together through some subtle covenant.
The only one still intact was the little giant standing among them, his body like a mountain.
He was also Lugu's elder brother, another Main Tribe general of the Shugu Tribe:
Shigu, a Golden Core Late Stage great Barbarian Cultivator.
Yet Shigu was not in good condition either.
He was too powerful. No one could "eat" him; only he could eat others.
But he seemed to have "eaten" too many people, leaving the flesh and blood within his body in chaos. His veins bulged, his skin and flesh split open, and his eyes had taken on a faint gray-black hue.
He looked like a gigantic "zombie king."
Yet traces of life still remained within him. He seemed not to be dead yet.
Lugu looked at this elder brother who had once been so mighty and extraordinary, now reduced to a half-living, half-dead "Living Dead," and found his feelings impossible to describe. "Big Brother, you..." Lugu's voice was bitter.
But "Shigu" showed no reaction whatsoever. His reason had long been worn away by hunger, leaving little behind.
The only thing sustaining his movements was his craving for "flesh and blood."
Mo Hua watched Shigu, especially those gray-black eyes, his expression as grave as still water.
