As the competition continued, Mo Hua faced growing hostility and discovered signs that Duanmu Qing might be connected to the Evil God.

• Mo Hua helped Void Gate defeat the Spirit Talisman Sect and Guishui Gate, using Fireball Techniques to support his teammates and defeat their leaders.
• Mo Hua used Water Prison Technique and a range of Five Elements spells to help Void Gate defeat rival sects, while Guishui Gate elders secretly investigated his connection to the Water Prison Sect.
• Mo Hua kept Shi Tiangang occupied with traps and concealment until Void Gate defeated the Vajra Sect, then used stealth to help his team overcome Longding Sect and other opponents.

Mo Hua led Void Gate through the Asura Battle, defeated the Four Prodigies of Ganxue, and uncovered the Evil God’s trap after the Sword Discussion was transformed into a demonic battle royale. He united disciples from the rival sects, destroyed an Evil Array Master stronghold, and discovered Mr. Tu was raising Flesh Demons for an attack on the real world and the Nightmare.

• Mo Hua secured the Three Branches’ inheritances and led Void Gate into the Asura Battle, where he hid his disciples in Sky-Line Gorge and routed the invading sects with arrays.
• Shen Linshu, Xiao Wuchen, Ao Zhan, Duanmu Qing, and Ye Qingfeng attacked Mo Hua’s remaining defenders, but Mo Hua unleashed a Half-Step Reverse Spirit Array and defeated the five prodigies with his Divine Sense Sword.
• Elder Shen tried to seize control with a Fifth-Grade Grand Array, but the Shen Family Ancestor and One-Eye Ancestor killed him as the array teleported the defeated disciples and Xuantian Peak to Yanluo Mountain.

As Wenren Wan and True Person Situ entered Yu’er’s nightmare to stop the Evil God, the Evil God was born and its influence turned the demons against one another, leaving a thin youth ascending the altar.

• Mo Hua helped the Dao Court Office rescue the trapped disciples, but stayed behind in Yanluo Mountain after learning Shangguan Wang had taken Yu’er, and the demons swallowed him when they destroyed the escape rope.
• Mr. Tu captured Mo Hua and brought him to the Evil God Temple, where Mo Hua was confined, sealed from the god in his Sea of Consciousness, and pressured to help complete the Wild Heaven Blood Sacrifice Array.
• Mo Hua studied the grand array, made a pact with the Pixiu, and secretly reconstructed the array so he could deceive Mr. Tu and disrupt the ritual.
• Wenren Wan agreed to risk her Sea of Consciousness to enter Yu’er’s dream, and True Person Situ led her and other cultivators through the Evil God’s Nightmare toward the altar.
• The cultivators fought demonic beings in the Nightmare and confronted Yu’er, but True Person Situ’s strike failed to stop the Evil God’s True Fetus from being born.
• The Evil God’s awakening stirred Mo Hua and drove the demons into violence, as a strange voice urged them to serve it and Mr. Tu was killed during the Blood Ritual.
